Save time and trouble and avoid this place. They had Mt car 10 days and just now saying they have no time to look for parts but I could. I have children I don't have time and I'm no mechanic. 2nd I told them I'd take it to Fulgham instead Cody is an asshole and told me to " take it to someone who knew what they were doing " I wanted to love this place because its in town and convenient but I'll never turn my back on Fulgham automotive ever again. broke down in abilene on a cross country trip. transmission leaking oil. made the mistake of going to the dealership, dodge, in clyde. terrible service and nothing fixed. after a week i gave up and at the suggestion of an airforce airman went to "my mechanic" in abilene. met brodie and kody. absolutely great people. their entire staff were exceptional. troubleshot the vehicle, identified the problem in one day got the vehicle in operation and arranged the storage and shipment of it to my home address. couldn't ask for any better service. thanks to them for all the help. read more

My car was broke down it start and then it would die. I called my mechanic told him the codes that came up p0022 and p 0420 the car was towed from the hotel where I was staying I'm here in Texas working I need my car I could be in Dallas or New Mexico next week or the following week I talked to Brody on the telephone you know he said he's going to run some diagnostics hey he was going to take the car to the radiator shop and have my tank filtered then he tells me that my car jumped timing and so with the total $2,600 and that is for timing oil job and diagnostics 2600 bucks I talked to him he tells me the car started and when you took it for a ride there's no power sluggish was this the way your car was I said no so he tells me to come down there so I had to go to Abilene first my power steering is leaking we go for a ride very sluggish okay backfiring I pull in I go underneath the hood I'm only running on four cylinders the cool packs that I had on the vehicle three of them actually were loose I told him he needed to tighten these up. one of the cool packs seem to be either broke it was wobbling back and forth a wire connect to it I told him I'm supposed to give him $2,600 I gave them $1,000 down already this was not acceptable I feel like I am being played I told Brody I will be back on Friday I would have another co-worker give me a ride back up here but I'm not going to pay $2,600 for a car that doesn't drive he never told me that I was running 4 cylinders all on one side and he tells me that his computer said there's no misfire which I showed him that it was wrong he goes in to the shop comes back out and tells me that his mechanic said that the the cylinder got chipped and that that's the reason why I have no acceleration I I said why it's sluggish is because I'm only running on four cylinders and why was I informed I don't know what you did in my car but it needs to be fixed so I hope on Friday when I go down to get my car I'll be able to come back on here and give them a good review and say that I was wrong because from what it looks like right now is that they're just trying to work me I don't even know if they did my timing I really don't he said that one was 2.6 way and one was four points this way . I could not believe this was happening. My coworker is tired I'm tired and they want me to give him $2,600 well actually 1600 I gave him 1,000 already for my car that now starts up only to be running on 4 cylinders mind you. What do I think what do you think,,, am I wrong,,, do I pay that money and try to drive my car I think he said he can get me a engine there is nothing wrong with this engine. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for helping me last week. I had come to Texas from Illinois to take a job in the oil fields of West Texas. Eight days after starting the job the project was canceled and everyone got laid off. As I left Pecos Texas I had a flat tire. I was able to repair the tire continue my trek back to Chicago. About 16 miles west of Colorado city my alternator went out. It was 9 o'clock in the evening and I was able to get a tow truck to take me into Colorado city and deposit me at the local auto parts store. I spent the night at a local motel and in the morning was able to buy a new battery and wanted to buy a new alternator. I was informed that I would have to wait a day or two for an alternator for my vehicle as none were available anywhere close. I made the decision to try and make it to Abilene on just the battery and to see if I could find an alternator there. About 30 minutes from Abilene I was taken aback by the thought of not finding a reputable mechanic to install my alternator. So I prayed and got the idea to call a local Assemblies of God church and ask for a recommendation. The woman at New Hope Assemblies of God told me that a member of their church named Bill was the best mechanic in Abilene. I called the number she gave me and the young lady at your shop took my information and told me I was about 20 minutes outside of Abilene and she would call me right back. She informed me that she could have an alternator waiting for me when I got there and it would all be taken care of. As I arrived at your shop and filled out the information for a new customer sure enough an alternator was delivered by a NAPA representative. Within 15 minutes one of your mechanics remove my old alternator replaced it with the new one. I paid the bill and was on my way. This is been the best experience I've ever had with any mechanic in my life. I'm seriously thinking that the next time I need service done to my car I'm going to drive back to Abilene! This is by far the best mechanics shop that I have come across. I have taken 2 of my vehicles to My Mechanic for repairs. They did a great job for a reasonable price and got my cars in and out very quickly. Also, they didn't try to upsell me anything that I didn't need. That is most important to me as a woman that knows nothing about cars! They definitely have my business for my 2 vehicles and my boyfriend's for his 2 vehicles. read more

I am new to Abilene, so when I was asking around for a good mechanic, someone from church recommended My Mechanic. I'm very glad I took their advice. The crew at My Mechanic truly went above and beyond. I had recently bought a used Jeep, and I wanted to have it fully checked out, and to have a few leaks fixed. They went through the entire Jeep thoroughly and fixed every problem for a very reasonable price. For the above and beyond part -- they forgot to mention they had also put in a new steering stabilizer when they told me the total repair cost over the phone. When they realized this, they quickly called back and apologized. They didn't charge me labor for it or the retail cost for the part, but instead, they only charged me the part at their cost. I was very surprised and grateful for their honesty and customer service. I even took my Jeep back a couple of days later because I still noticed a little bit of belt noise when I started the Jeep up with the air conditioner running. They quickly went to work to find the problem while I waited. They worked on it for an additional 20-30 minutes, and they didn't charge me anything for it.
