We purchased a new build home and decided to keep CM Mose as our HVAC company since they installed it. We had never heard of them before but so happy we stuck with them. We had them out for a minor issue and then again for our semi-annual service and just today for an issue we were having keeping our bedroom warm. We have always had beyond friendly service. This company finds a solution and makes sure you understand and that you are happy. I am always impressed. We do not wear shoes in our home and that is never an issue with them. They happily put on booties and remove them when they go outside then replace when they come inside. You would never believe how hard that it is for most companies to comprehend. The office staff is exceptional as well. Always friendly and happy to work with your schedule and in a timely manner. We never have to wait long for service and we are given a reminder the day before via text and email. Once someone is headed to your home you are sent an email with the tech's picture and name. Beware, Beware using C.M.Mose & son for plumbing. They charged me $400 to replace a wax ring and an EXTRA $350 to put tank back on the toilet! Can't put a zero so one. We were customers for at least 20 years for our home and rental. They provided a generator, service calls, and preventative maintenance. Not pleased. Sold us a 10 year warranty - didn't honor it. Bid on project 3 times a competitor's identical bid (that we have been using instead after years with you prior to being sold. They are quality.) We bought a brand new air conditioner from you. Less than 5 years old. (Installed 6/18/2021) Bought the 10 year warranty. Coil has already failed with a coolent leak. On install, 2 holes were burned in the PVC. Unbelievable how quickly new owners drove a great business into the ground. They must live somewhere they don't care as much about customer service - like Florida - where all our calls are transferred. read more

I've called multiple times to discuss the cost charged to me for 3 hardwire replacement fire alarms. I've repeatedly called since May and have yet to receive a follow up call from management. The customer service reps have acknowledged my concerns, and lack of calls from management over each month stating they've seen my call logs into the service center, and with promises that someone will call. We have used Mose for electrical work since the late 70s. They have successfully diagnosed and fixed intermittent outages, converted a fuse box to circuit breakers, and cleaned up a garage door opener installation-- looks really spiffy and works well. Most recently they installed a Generac generator for us. It got a real workout during a recent 24 hour+ power outage. Seamless as promised. Like many companies, Mose has expanded into HVAC and plumbing. We recently used them for spring A/C maintenance. Unlike another company that had a weeks-long wait (and still didn't show up), Mose sent out a guy the very next day. Mike was efficient and thorough, and no problems found. We have nothing bad to say about the Mose company. read more

I have worked with service technicians for many years, and in my opinion, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before working with this company. In my experience, they were disorganized, unresponsive, and extremely difficult to deal with. The repair they handled for us was quoted at a price I personally found to be extraordinarily high, and the quote was given to a retail employee rather than to us directly -- which, in my view, was the first major mistake. I sent multiple requests for the invoice and received no response. When I questioned the pricing, again, no reply. Only after repeated attempts did they finally respond, and while they did reduce the price -- which I appreciated -- the communication issues continued. When we attempted to schedule follow-up work for the same business, the pattern repeated: emails ignored, calls unanswered. Eventually, I spoke with Jennifer Coakley, and based on that interaction, I found the communication dismissive and unprofessional. When I asked why no one was responding, I was told they would not be returning to the job -- something that, in my opinion, should have been communicated in writing long before. Overall, my experience with this company was extremely negative. In my view, their customer service was unacceptable, their communication unreliable, and the way they handled the situation left a lot to be desired. They have butchered my brand new unit! First of all, they spent 2 days installing. Apprentices were doing all the work while the main guy was walking around like a bored fly and complained about how he hated this. After they left, ac would not cool house down bellow 73 and temperature kept rising. Called them up, they said freon was low so they refilled it, paid another 700+ on top of what we already paid for them to install. And there was hardly any air coming out of vents but was "normal" and still did not help. Called them up again, because temps still didn't go down inside house. They came back, the guy did not have correct valves and no idea how much was added so said he would be back next day but never came. Found out also they did not even turn the ac side fan dip switches on. Had to call again and told them about guy ghosting us and set up another appointment. They came out and said didn't put enough freon again. Refilled it for yet another 600+. Didn't change anything. We called them up again. They showed up and had a gut to say that everything is okay and it's 78 degrees inside because it's hot outside! Also the high pitch hissing sound was normal and kept saying everything was fine even had another guy with him. Our old beat up unit didn't have that excuse but new, better one couldn't cool the house?! We've contacted company we've bought the unit from and they recommend getting a second opinion, since this company came out SIX times! We've hired different company and found out our unit was totally shot. They didn't install the txv to the line so it could regulate the correct flow and over charged the one line causing it to pop and over all has costed us now over $20,000 in total! Absolutely don't recommend dealing with them! read more

Prior to the change of ownership at CM Mose I had purchased a generator for my former home I had referred at least one customer who purchased a generator through them. I had C M Mose take over all of my HVAC work on my home. Back then the service, installation and maintenance provided was first rate. I also provided highly rated reviews about the company and the quality of service! This latest experience has been disappointing to say the least.....I ordered a generator in the fall of 2021 for another home which never arrived. The only communication regarding the status of my order was provided when I made an inquiry. I have yet to have my deposit returned. My brother in law (another referral) is experiencing the same problem I had, but he has decided to continue on with his order. All indications appear that since the company was sold and now operates under the umbrella of a larger corporation the customer is no longer as important to the day to day operations. I will have a generator installed by someone else who can and will give better service. I doubt that C M Mose will be pleased with the review I intend to submit. John O read more

Came home to an indoor temp of 89 degrees. Called C.M.Mose & Son and had a repair tech at the house 90 mins later- called 2 others first who said I'd have to wait till August ( this was june20). They sent Daniel who was great, even though it was late at night (10PM) he didn't rush to job, fully tested every aspect of the system and left with it running within 1 hour. CM Mose and Son's has gone from prestigious to one of the worse hvac services provider in the area. Our old furnace (11 Years old 4 Service calls TOTAL) was replaced with a high end hvac system by CM MOSE, May 2024.(Less than 1 year over 5 service calls). While service calls are quickly scheduled and the servicemen are more than pleasant, resolving any problems seems to be a major issue. Parts of our new furnace have been wired, rewired, and rewired again. This high end unit is LOUD--they have told us that it's not the furnace, but the dampers...the old furnace was not loud...and if the dampers were bad, why not include in bid. So very disappointed to see this once 5 star company drop into the deadly goo of inept HVAC providers. Oh, One more thing, leaving a review that is not GOOD is impossible from within their website or on other public offerings (like angie, google, etc). Hoping this works read more

We scheduled our first six months check on our generator that was installed last September. This service was scheduled at the time of installation and was for 9:00 AM March 21st. On March 13th they call saying they will be out between noon and 1:00 PM on March 21st. We scheduled the 9:00 AM time for a specific reason. STAY CLEAR!!Hired this company thinking they were a reputable, quality, and experienced company. Nothing could be further from the truth. Unfortunately I did not have time to research other companies since I had no heat and needed someone quickly to replace my 2 furnaces. I therefore took the word of the salesman who promised things would be replaced and I would have heat. Nothing further from the truth. The install was faulty, sloppy and unprofessional. After working all day replacing 2 furnaces costing me $27000 I had NO heat the first night. First tech day 2 could not find the problem and cutting 2 pipes, speaking with numerous people on the phone since he had not idea what the problem was. Day 2 still no heat. Finally at the end of day 2, the only tech to solve the problem, Kyle realized after READING the instructions that the existing pipes were not large enough to provide adequate air circulation. Being told at the end of day 2 that he would have to find 3" pipes to replace existing pipes and would return day 3. Had ALREADY paid $27000. Slept 2 nights on the floor with a space heater. Day 3 pipes replaced after 3 hours and FINALLY had heat. Wires were left hanging, along with a cut pipe left hanging. What a HORRIBLE experience. I am writing this review to hopefully prevent other potential customers from experiencing the same results. Don't expect an apology, expect to be compensated for pain, suffering by this companies lack of properly installation. That is not what I expected when I hired this company. Rob was on call and told me he was 20 minutes away and would be happy to come by. It was only 15.00 more to come out on a Sunday!!! He arrived on time, was friendly and honest. My power line was stuck by a branch ripping the meter out on Sunday evening. I called this company because it said 24/7. He was so nice on the phone having to explain it just wasn't possible to fix that day. He came the next day with a bid FAR lower than the others. Not one of the others was able to come for a week. They were kind enough to move things around and would come after work on Tuesday even though they were short handed. But things didn't work out for that so they could only do Friday. She even called other customers on their schedule to see if anyone would be willing to delay. It's fixed, at the amount that was bid and even though they are far away, I will always call them when I need help!! Thank you!! read more

Maybe they are good at some things, but DO NOT use them if you are purchasing a Generac generator. I purchased my 3200 Generac on November 19, 2020. They required 40% down payment and my sales "specialist" never mentioned that any type of delay was going to occur. It is now April 12, and I continue to be stonewalled about when my generator will be installed. They promised it would be completed last week, but only one day did two technicians come out for a half a day and installed the gas line. I've never heard from them again, and my sales representative has never contacted me. The office finally did admit to me that at the time of my order in November, they knew their was a 3 to 4 month waiting list. I would NEVER have plucked down a 40% down payment on something not being installed for 5+ months. I think I got really ripped off! I see positive reviews for other things they do, but they are not any good at generator installs. read more

I asked for a 96% AFUE furnace to be installed and they installed a 95%AFUE instead. I found out after trying to get a rebate from Spire. They tried to make the excuse that I ordered a 95% AFUE furnace. I very explicitly ordered a 96% AFUE furnace and my 23yr old son witnessed my order. When I asked what happened it took 4 phone calls over a 3 week period. On the first phone call they acknowledged that the furnace I got wasn't what I ordered. Then after being told that they would get back to me regarding this matter on repeated phone calls, they asked if I had proof in writing of what I ordered! I feel like I've been taken advantage of I paid for the furnace in full. I paid for one thing and received something different. Buyers beware!!! I had CM Mose and Son out to my home for a whole house generator installation. They were prompt and very professional. They told me the job would take about 8 hours and they were right. I was concerned, it being a Friday, that I would be without power and they assured me that would not happen.
