He made a fair quote, stuck to it, took his time to determine the true cause and walked me through every step. Ace not only was pleasant to spend a couple of hours shadowing but encouraged me to watch and gave me tips for future problem prevention. He told me horror stories of how other companies could use their knowledge against unsuspecting home-owners for unscrupulous gain. Very refreshing to have a genuinely nice person that I could feel secure in trusting and was very affordable. I will be calling Ace for all future plumbing needs.

Contacted the owner (Chase) on Christmas Eve(Sunday) after discovering no hot water and unable to light the pilot. Chase stated he would be here 9:00am Tuesday morning. After performing reviews on our current Whirlpool water heater, could not find a positive review for the unit, so decided no matter what the problem, would have a new one installed. Contacted Chase again to let him know to bring a new unit. Chase arrived on time and right off could tell he was very personable, professional and respectful of property. After going over the Whirlpool unit, he agreed it was time to install a new one. What gave me full confidence is his knowledge of the water heater unit operations, venting, chimney importance(flue through chimney) and root cause of the rust(and how to prevent it in the future) which had accumulated on top of the unit. Another factor was the expansion unit which was totally rusted, preventing water from entering. The goal of Chase's satisfaction was to make sure we were totally satisfied with the install, all questions answered and stepped us through the new unit controls, etc. He uses 'Bradford White' water heaters which are highly rated. Chase is a perfectionist, making sure the unit is level, good drainage and secured a couple copper lines which had broken away from the rafter. I will recommend 'KC Water Heaters' to anyone knowing Chase is the template by which all business owners should follow in 'outstanding' customer service. UPDATE: Last month(12/2025), noticed some water dripping from the overflow valve. Contacted Chase to explain the issue. He came out the next day in the morning and replaced the valve at no cost. After checking the main house water pressure, it was right at 80 which is considered high that may have contributed to the leaky valve. Chase reduced the pressure and everything is working fine. Even after two years, KC Water Heaters provides exceptional customer service.

Usually, it involves having someone out that is just there to get in and out as quickly as possible, doesn't want to be bothered by details, doesn't show a lot of attention to detail, and rarely cleans up well after themselves. That is not KC Water Heaters. I'm almost dumbstruck by how responsive, communicative, consultative / informative, and all-around thoughtful Chase was throughout the entire process. He arranged and quoted everything with a couple of brief phone calls and some photos I texted to him, all within a couple of hours...and then they were out the next day to replace a leaking water heater (showing up on time, no less!). He completely reworked the plumbing and drain lines associated with the water heater, and educated us on maintenance and the effects of water softeners on water heaters (wow, was that an eye-opener). All throughout the process, he even talked us out of more expensive, but unnecessary options, and redesigned the placement of the water heater to make it more supportable and safe. He literally thought of, and anticipated, everything. We could not be more impressed!

At the time, I didn't realize what a blessing that would be. Mark is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly. He knew exactly what needed to be done in both situations and fixed the issues promptly. His communication was excellent. I never once had to chase him for updates. He consistently delivered clear, accurate information and kept me informed throughout the process. Mark responds to texts and calls in a timely manner, which is hard to find these days, and he completed the work within the promised timeframe. I cannot recommend Old School Plumbing enough if you're looking for reliable, high-quality plumbing services.

Because they did not come see or even ask for pictures of what needed to be replaced when they got over to my home. They left and spent an hour getting parts. Waste of my time. When the kid came back he flooded my basement and garage while replacing the pipes he wanted to and while I understand that stuff happens not telling me about it and leaving me to find it after he left is a little nice. However when I walked into my bathroom it looked like he left a train wreck all over and in my tub. Now my tub drain is slower than normal to drain. Had him work on an outside faucet too and he spread all the power tools with water. For the amount that they charged I would have expected better clean up and communication, but no way. Once he decided he needed to go he left in a hurry no let me show you what I did or do you have any questions. I had to pull information out of him. I had another faucet that needed work done but he said he had to leave and couldn't do it. I get that we all have busy lives and I would have understood had I not mentioned everything I needed to start with. Save your money and go somewhere else. It's not worth getting your house dirtier than it was to start with and flooded without your knowledge. I tend to let workers in my home do their jobs and not bother them much so I guess that I should have kept a closer eye on what he was doing so I would have known about the flood sooner than later.

He kept telling me how nice it looked, and how he thought it wasn't very dirty. He was in and out of the house very quickly, and we had two sets of stairs, and several rooms to clean. The carpet didn't look much better when he was done, and two months later, it looks much worse that if we hadn't had them "cleaned" at all. I was hoping the "zero residue" would prevent this, but it turns out the only difference is that they use purified water. We are going to have to hire another company to come in and clean properly just to get the carpet to look as good as it did before Zerorez came out to "clean" it.

We noticed a significant amount of dust buildup around our vents, so we contacted Steamatic for a…read morefull cleaning. When I called, they quoted a price based on our home's square footage. Since that didn't feel precise, I asked for someone to come out and confirm the estimate. A staff member visited, counted all the vents and intakes, and explained that we had more vents than expected for a home our size, which increased the price. I appreciated the transparency there. Before scheduling, I asked how long the job would take. I was told two hours. The day of service was where the problems began. Two Steamatic employees arrived at 9 a.m. They explained they needed to set up a large vacuum system in the basement. Unfortunately, this equipment required more power than anticipated, and it took nearly two hours just to find an outlet configuration that would work. Once they began cleaning, the process took much longer than the original estimate - they finished at 4:30 p.m. That's a seven-and-a-half-hour job, not the two hours I had been told. I contacted Steamatic to express my frustration. To their credit, the company responded quickly: a supervisor came out several days later to inspect the work and found several issues, including dust on walls and ceilings, vents missing screws, and others not secured properly. Within a few hours, a second crew was sent to correct everything. Steamatic ultimately made things right. I received a revised invoice with a $177 discount, which I appreciated, and a VP called me personally to understand what happened. The supervisor also explained that the job should have been estimated at five hours - not two. One final note: no matter how careful the team is, vent cleaning does create some dust in the home. That's simply part of the process. Bottom line: Based solely on the service day experience, I would have rated this a 1. But because of how they handled the issues- prompt follow-up, corrections, and a fair discount - I'm giving them a 3 out of 5.

This is only based on the BId process. Not actual work…read more I really wish people would do what they say they are going to do. It is upsetting and wastes everyone's time. I contacted Jorge via Yelp on the 16th of the month. He replied after awhile and said he would be happy to come out. I called him on the 18th. He came late in the day, a bit later than he stated, but did arrive. We talked about the project and I showed him what was needed. He said he would email me a quote. On the 21st I texted him asking about the quote. He said he would send it that night that he "promised". It is now the 26th. No emails or texts or calls. If he doesnt want to do the job, that's more than okay, just tell me. That's honesty I can respect. But when you say you'll so something, and you have to say "I promise" and you don't do that thing? That's an issue to me. I'll be moving on.
