You have to show up. I called to have some minor electrical work done at my home. I sent a description of what I wanted and even provided photographs. I was told my appointment was his first stop on the scheduled day but he never showed up. I called after he was more than an hour late. The woman that answered the phone said she'd call the electrician and get back to me. Twenty minutes later she called and said "he dropped the ball". Yes, he certainly did. We hired Kevin after I submitted a project to Yelp. I LOVE this feature on Yelp. I bet not enough of you are using it!! 3 electricians got back to me questions and pricing details for our project. We were out of the service area for one of them and they told us. I like Kevin's straightforward pricing using a fair hourly rate. I'm willing to pay for professionalism. Kevin is a pro! He's a former commercial electrician who is now doing residential work too. We had a lot of work for him! We needed 4 outlets added in our house and another electrical problem diagnosed. He did all the work as asked. He did not charge a trip fee, charged us fairly for materials (did not mark them way up) and stuck to his estimate on the hourly work, even though it took him a little longer than he thought. A good friend cautioned me to avoid the big companies and franchises. They have to pay all that overhead. Guess who pays? We found a real winner in an owner/operator like Kevin. Been trying to get an electrician out to install a light fixture replacing a florescent ceiling light in a drop ceiling. 2 never showed up or called. 1 came out and said the new light was too heavy to install and to get another one. Another said they would be there between 8am and 10am, he showed up at 11am but I had to go to work and had left. Called Device, explain to them and sent pictures. They said what day they could come out, they could be there between 9:30am and 10am they showed up on time meticulously insstalled my new light fixture and I couldn't be more happy with the results.
