After a 40-minute drive, I was happy to find that the office was spotless, the staff was friendly, and they genuinely made me feel welcome. I was a customer for many years until the practice was sold to the present group/owner. on June 8, 2020 I had an appointment for a dental cleaning. I had Cigna dental insurance and they cover 2 cleanings per year. Before the dental hygienist began, she advised me that I was due for a full series of x-rays. I told the hygienist that it was ok only if they were fully covered by the insurance. She said she would check with the front desk. She came back and proceeded to take the x-rays. Months later I received a bill from their office. I called them, asking what the bill was about. They told me that it was for the x-rays. I explained that I authorized for x-rays to be taken only if they were fully covered. The receptionist informed me that she would take care of it. For months I kept getting the same bill and I kept calling them trying to get the matter resolved. After 6 months or so after talking from the receptionist to the office manager, I asked to speak to the doctor. He wasn't available. I asked to have him call me when he would be available. Never heard from him. For my next dental cleaning appointment I chose another dental office. Bills stopped for a while until this year. Got a call from Diana this morning inquiring when I was going to pay the $65.80 balance. I explained to her the entire situation again. Sher informed me that the insurance company did not pay for the dental cleaning and oral exam 100%. I tried to explain to her that they always paid 100% of cleanings in the past. I got off the phone and called the dental insurance company. They informed me that the dental cleaning and oral exam were fully paid at 100%, the x-rays were not. I asked for documentation, which they sent. I called back Diana from the Katz Family Dental care and tried to explain the situation, she kept interrupting and now telling me that the insurance DID pay for cleaning and oral exam, but I had a co pay or deductible that I had to meet. Once again I explained to her that I felt I wasn't responsible for that portion of the bill since I clearly stated that I would agree to the x-rays only if they were100% covered. She hung up on me. I'm not sure if the doctor ever got my message to call me back or not. Either way they lost me as a customer and also my daughter. She left because of other issues, I never talked to her about my problem with this office. It used to be a great place when Dr Viagrande ran the place!!!

My alternative was to loose my teeth at 37 and that was an exponentially horrifying and overwhelming possibility. I initially went into his office feeling extremely overwhelmed, embarrassed, and anticipatory. I had received 3-4 different opinions from other dentists who made me feel ashamed about how bad things were. However, Dr. Mike and his team immediately made me feel at ease. He was undeniably the most knowledgeable, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. He explained to me what we would need to do to save my smile. He also gave me options and was willing to work with me on this costly endeavor. Dr. Mike is hands down the best dentist I've ever been to and I would HIGHLY recommend his expertise and knowhow, especially for those needing extensive restorative and cosmetic work. Honestly, I'd never go to another dentist ever again and would probably cry if he ever retired. Everywhere I go, people are commenting on my, "million dollar smile," and for someone who had very damaged teeth, nothing could feel better than hearing such kind words. Be cautious if they have questions about your insurance before an appointment, as you may feel like you're being stalked. When they need something, everyone is on high alert, but when you need assistance, it's a different story altogether. What I should have done was come here first before taking a chance. I would have read the other reviews and stayed clear.

My children were up to date on their visits, were seen April of 2025 and had their 6month follow up scheduled for October of 2025 with no missed appointments on their behalf in between; because dad and myself had appointments that we missed due to medical reasons, they canceled our children's visits and never told us. While dad and I did not agree that we should have been barred from rescheduling our visits, we were understanding and did try calling same day for appointments that were never available. We were not made aware that our children would also not be allowed to keep their already scheduled appointments (scheduled in April of 2025) and would not be able to reschedule, so essentially being discharged unofficially, No written documentation was provided to myself, my husband or the children, formally discharging us, no certified mail, no one called or communicated the children's appointments were going to be canceled. The manager Shanice was also incredibly rude when speaking to me about this issue, she interrupted me to speak over me several times and would not hear what I had to say because I mentioned how unfair to the children this was. She was also the one I spoke to about myself and my husband's issue when that arose, she failed to mention the children would be penalized, and failed to mention then that the children's visit were going to be canceled for October. She and her staff put me at ease every time I am in their office. Dr Kumar is great at explaining what she is doing while you are in the chair and why she is doing it. She is consistently checking up on you to make sure you are not in any pain which I, a person with horrible dentist office experiences, can appreciate! I even had zoom whiting treatments with them which can I say was a game changer! The results I got from just one office visit was noticeably different and 10x whiter!
