I was slightly weirded out that the initial callback was in Spanish, but my name is Spanish, and subsequently realized that it was, considering the demographics of the area, a very kind thing to do. They couldn't have known that I'm a primary English speaker, and there was no shaming when I stated that and we switched into English. The routine dental care has been great, I like the hygienist, and really appreciate that she does an exam for non-cavity problems like sores or other things that could indicate a more serious medical condition. It's ludicrous that this country considers teeth (and eyes, while we're at it) as though they were not parts of your body for medical purposes. I also did go there because they do Invisalign. Over the past few years, especially since I got my wisdom teeth out about 15 years ago, my TMJ, grinding, and jaw pain had become a real problem. All my other dentists recommended a night guard and about nothing else. I was skeptical that this would help, especially given the cost, but I was in a lot of pain, so I went ahead. I am glad I did. I am in much less pain now. My teeth are, indeed, straighter, but the key point to me is that I'm in less pain. They did try to upsell me on bleaching and veneers, but when I made it clear that I was only interested in the mechanics of how my teeth *work* rather than the aesthetics of how they look, they stopped. Overall, good experience, and I will be continuing routine care with them.

I recently had a new patient visit and cleaning at Hartford Dental Associates and was very…read moreimpressed. My appointment started on time, a huge plus from the beginning. Everyone was very friendly and conversational. First, Heidi (Dental Assistant) took all of my x-rays and photographs of my teeth; she was very thorough. Next, I had my exam with Dr. Berry, who was also friendly, and I could tell he likes to joke around, which was nice, given a lot of people are anxious during dental appointments. I had a few questions, which he answered and explained next steps. Lastly, Brittnae (Registered Dental Hygienist) did my cleaning. She measured all of my periodontal pockets -- something I've never had done before, so I was highly impressed by the level of attention and care they give their patients. Brittnae explained everything she was doing and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, she was very gentle on my teeth and gums during the cleaning. The office takes all COVID safety precautions, which was such a relief. Everyone wears a mask (surgical or N95 or both), and I noticed HEPA filters throughout the office. In addition, the office is completely digital (no paper!) and very modern. Overall, I have had a very positive new patient visit and am looking forward to my next cleaning. Highly recommend!

Dr. Rob Kievit handled our initial late night weekend call and assured me that everything would be okay and they were there for us...not only to fix her tooth but I received the emotional support I really needed (as someone who would puts this situation as one of my worst fears) I called in tears and got off the phone knowing I called the best of the best!! Our appointment was with Dr. Alyssa Kievit who showed the most compassion we've ever experienced from a doctor!! My daughter couldn't even look in the mirror without crying but she was also very scared that fixing it was going to hurt. Dr. Kievit took her time and explained everything to us step by step before she did anything. She made sure the whole experience was completely painless and comfortable for my daughter as she worked her magic!! If I didn't tell you, you'd never be able guess that anything happened to her tooth. Her new tooth is so beautiful it looks better than her original! When we walked outside to leave my daughter looked at herself and her new tooth and said "Mom it's so beautiful...I can finally smile again!!" To say that I'm grateful for Kievit Dentistry is an understatement!!! Everything was straightforward and made me feel very comfortable. The staff was amazing and friendly and I would definitely come back again if I have problems with my teeth in the future. I got my wisdom tooth taken out on October 18 yesterday and everything went out perfectly fine. I wasn't bloated and it almost look like I didn't get my teeth taken out because everything was done the right way. Dr. Maguire was my surgeon and he was terrific. I am scared when it comes to needles but he made it painless and quick! I got prescribed pain meds right away and now I can move and talk just fine! Everyone is friendly and personable and talks to you like a friend they just saw last month, not just a couple times a year. They don't try to sell you thing you don't need or make you replace fillings before it needs to be done. It doens't (and never has) felt like a money grab where they tell you to do things that you don't need to get done. Unless you want to, I mean they won't talk you out of a teeth whitening if that's what you want. LOL The parking lot is a bit of the pain since it's one lane so you have to be careful to follow the rules and let the traffic coming in have the right of way, but you get used to it! At least there's parking, for free. You're not paying in a garage so there's that, and that means something in downtown WeHa. Highly recommend if you're looking for a dental practice!

A…read moreweek ago, I went to a different dentist who told me I had multiple cavities and needed 14 fillings. As someone who has never had a cavity or filling before, this was alarming! I called the Dental Associates of Wethersfield after that and asked to be seen for a second opinion. They were able to get me in for a same-week appointment, and turns out I have no cavities! I am so relieved and I have Dr. DeFilippo to thank for that. He is very knowledgeable and put my concerns to rest. The office is also super clean, the front desk staff is lovely, and there was no long wait time! Thank you to the DAOW team!
