I was going this place was going to have amazing croissants since I've been on the hunt for the best croissants in Bergen county since I just came back from France but it fell short. The almond croissant was a little greasy and flat, the plain croissant was not crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was just kind of tasteless. The chocolate croissant was the best of the three. I'd go back to try other items instead of the croissants. The scone o had was really good though. They had some breakfast and lunch options and plenty of other baked items that looked good. read more

I always hit up local spots when I'm visiting. This was one was ok. I had one of their seasonal lattes (caramel cinnamon) but it was not strong at all...kinda tasted like a hot chocolate. Visited C Squared Cafe for a coffee hangout with the boys on a Saturday morning. It's a small cafe on the main drag with a few tables inside as well as outdoor seating. I ordered a cold brew and kouign amann. The kouign amann was very flaky, with a nice sweet crust on top. Cold brew was decent. Service was quick too. What an awesome discovery out of nowhere. We were in the area for a whole different reason and driving on the boulevard we found parking right in front of this place. Stepping in we were overcome by the sweetness of the menu as well as the two hostesses behind the counter. We decided to try a few things, when one of them mentioned that the loukoumades just came out so we went for that as well. I have to say the loukoumades were the highlight so fresh and tasted delicious. If we are ever in the area again this will be a must stop for us. Very cute place indeed. read more

Came here on 3 separate occasions and overall, ended up being just ok. My first visit I had a cafe bonbon and fruit tart. I had no clue what a cafe bonbon was. When I asked I was told "coffee with milk". I repeat, "with milk?" And the girl said "yeah". I was expecting a full cup of something but got a little espresso shot. I didn't see any milk and wasn't told anything else. The espresso shot was great and flavorful and it wasn't until I got to the end of the espresso that I realized there's condensed milk at the bottom. I wish they explained the drink better. The fruit tart I had didn't taste fresh. It had a very soft crust and tasted kind of soapy? The espresso shot was so good I figured I'd have to come again. My next visit I had a frappé and the everything croissant with scallion cream cheese. The croissant was awesome. I loved it so much. The texture and taste are great. It sounds so simple. Just a croissant with everything bagel seasoning and scallion cream cheese but the flavor with the buttery, flaky croissant makes for a delicious experience. My frappé unfortunately tasted like watered down milk with a slight hint of coffee. It did have ice in it. I did drink it right away before the ice could significantly melt so it wasn't being watered down by the ice. I was really hoping for a strong coffee flavor like I had with the cafe bonbon but was disappointed. I figured maybe a fluke? So I decided to come again. My 3rd time I ordered an iced matcha latte, something I'm very familiar with. This ended up being milk (not watered down milk) with a hint of matcha flavoring. When I first drank it, I drank up sugar crystals and matcha powder. The drink wasn't mixed. I mixed it for a while and even after mixing, it still just tasted like milk with a hint of matcha flavoring. Overall, I was very disappointed since I was hoping for a cafe with strong flavored drinks but only ended up getting that in 1 of 3. The food was also hit or miss (I only tried two things so maybe there's more that's good). The service is always very friendly and kind. The aesthetic is gorgeous. I think it's worth a try though. The items that I had that were good were really good and you might get lucky. read more

We have a new cafe in town and it's one you will want to visit! The ambiance and decor is warm and cozy...everything you want in a coffee shop. They even have a nice outside area with tables. They offer a wide variety of delicious desserts as well as sandwiches. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and was blown away when I saw how perfectly they frothed the milk. I'm a regular here! And this isn't my first review for this place, I will keep making reviews every time they impress me! We ordered a smoothie and a hot matcha. Aside from it being right in the perfect price range, both were delicious!!! I always say I'm going to post a picture of what I got but my girlfriend and I always finish it so quick and forget to take a picture lol. The workers are so kind and good at what they do! And the place is homey and comfortable. I hope they never change anything about themselves. Some businesses try to appeal right away and change until something sticks. Happy to see this location open for business! Although this is the same family that owns Sofia's right next door it is it's own stand alone biz. The location has been updated and beautifully redesigned including a lovely side patio to sit and enjoy your coffee or dessert. I stopped in briefly on my way home from work. They have varied pastries, sandwiches and desserts. Yogurt parfaits and cold drinks fill the grab and go refrigerator in the front of the store. They offer hot drinks but I have yet to try these. I purchased two desserts to go. A layered Black Forest mousse cake and a slice of Ekmek Kataifi which is a Greek dessert made with layers of kataifi dough baked until crispy and golden, bathed in lemon scented syrup, topped with creamy thick custard and whipped cream and garnished with cinnamon and almonds. It's cool and refreshing on a hot summer evening. So delicious. I can not comment on the Black Forest as my husband ate that but there wasn't a crumb left so I'm guessing it was just as yummy as my dessert! The girl at the counter was friendly and helpful. The other staff was quick but still training a bit. But overall attentive and friendly. The few inside seats were taken by a variety of people enjoying a coffee or a bite to eat. Let me start off saying I love this place. The coffee is very good hot and iced. Try their pistachio latte it's a must. The food is great they make really good crepes. My favorites are the omelette with avocado and feta also the bacon egg and cheese on croissant. The pastries are amazing. Hard to stick to my diet when I come here. They have a nice outside patio where you can sit with your dog and enjoy the great food . I have to mention the service which is great they are very friendly And always looking if you need something. I don't know what's worse the coffee or the service. I ordered a cafe bombon and asked for it iced and they gave me it hot and when I had informed I asked for it iced they said they don't make it iced -- which I don't understand because I just got it yesterday as iced and it tasted good, hence why I came back. But the hot one did not even taste right, the drink is supposed to have sweetened condensed milk and it tasted like bitter coffee. I went back and they said here's a spoon to stir the bottom. When I opened it the cup was also half empty. Thought I found a nice new coffee spot but clearly I was wrong, would not return to this place. read more

My wife and I stopped to try this new shop. We we're surprised when we entered and found although there are 4 tables and some high bar chairs there was only one table available because the other tables were taken by high school girls on their laptops. they each had a drink in front of them that they never seemed to drink, only sat on laptops and talked. We had coffers and dessert and they were all still there. All of a sudden five fifth graders appeared , ordered one brownie between them, got the girl behind the counter to give them each a glass of water and never purchased anything else. They blocked the entry , were very loud and just hung out. The place is small, it's not Starbucks and to have people just hang out seems to be a waste. We will not go back, it's a hang out for school kids. We will go back across the street to our favorite coffee shop. I think owners need to rethink what type of shop they want to have. It's not cheap and to sit and listen to a group of teenagers taking up space and hanging out makes it seem like the diner on Happy Days! read more
