I took a little vacation to New Jersey because I wanted to go to the waterpark and this breakfast place was very close to my hotel and is a hidden gem! Staff is very nice and the atmosphere is giving warm cozy house vibes. I ordered a turkey, bacon, egg and cheese and it was pretty good. I also ordered a chai latte which was yummy! Just keep in mind the cappuccino's and chai lattes are from an automatic machine so if you don't like that, definitely get a fresh latte or something else! Overall great visit. Went here for breakfast sandwiches on a Saturday morning. Overall I had a great meal! Went with The bacon egg and cheese with an extra egg/hashbrown (not on the menu but lady asked if i wanted) and some chai tea - which she gave a sample of and i liked enough to order. For me it was great flavor and a great meal... BUT I struggled to give the fifth star even though the food deserved it BUT because no items on the menu had prices and also the location was a bit cold inside 4stats is appropriate for me. Hidden Gem! Family-owned establishment that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend. The family is very welcoming. There was a young boy taking our order who did a great job offering suggestions. As we waited he brought out chai latte samples for us to try. Delicious! I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a roll. The roll was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I took the option of 2 eggs and it was perfect. Bacon was crispy, eggs were not over cooked and the cheese was nice and melted. Stopped in for breakfast and we loved it. The two ladies running the place were very nice. She was all out of everything bagels but the sesame was a great substitute. The sandwich is what you'd expect around New Jersey with double egg, ketchup, and hash browns on it. The sandwich was massive and delicious. The dining area was clean and they had a large refrigerator full of drinks if you don't want coffee, which I appreciated! While we were enjoying our sandwiches, she came over with small samples of her chai tea, which was delicious! We will definitely be back. read more

Ambience: 7/10 Service: 8/10 Food: 4/10 (rating for coffee ordered) Price point 6/10 Returning: most likely not Ordered the salted caramel latte (came iced) and a vanilla latte ( also iced). Initially, I was given the salted caramel tea, and after tasting I realize that there was no coffee and it taste like lightly flavored water. So I returned and got the correct order. However, the salted caramel latte iced still wasn't giving strong coffee flavors. The person with me ordered the vanilla latte, and she feels she probably got the vanilla tea as well, but decided to keep it. However, she was disappointed with the taste. Maybe they should start making the signature drinks by hand. Because the machine was not doing a good job. We did not try the food, and otherwise it was a cute little place. read more

This place is amazing!!! Highly recommend, i absolutely love bagels and it is honestly so hard to find a place where they listen to half the things you ask, ie scooped, toasted, whatever and this place is all about the customer service. Bagel was delicious, i got a BEC while I was waiting the woman offered me a free sample of their tea which was delicious! She was so sweet, she told me they cook the eggs to be runny and if that was ok, I asked for the bagel to be double toasted and she even double checked with me if what she had it toasted to was good, honestly never get this kind of service at all. Also had a bible verse on the wall which for me brought a nice start to the day as well. Can not recommend this place enough! read more

Finally got to try this place out in the afternoon. Wow their pastries were still fresh and warm. Also grabbed a cappuccino from one of their automatic machines. These are made with a mix but it wasn't too bad. Loved the pastries! Chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and cheese danish. Service was friendly and quick too. What more can I add? I read quite a few of the other reviews and they were spot on. My friend and I stopped in a couple of days ago and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and the service we received. The owner was friendly not only to us but everyone that came and went as we waited for our meal. When Suzie realized that we were sitting down to eat, she immediately brought us plates and her suggestions for the savory pastry and the addition of a hash brown ON the bagel was a win in our books! This place is awesome! I had a breakfast sandwich, and boy does that lady know how to cook. It was delicious! The egg was cooked perfectly. It practically melted right into everything else. I also had a pecan sticky bun, which was warm, flaky, and not overly sweet. The service was very good. The server was very attentive and gave me some suggestions because I am indecisive when it comes to new places. This is a nice little gem in the heart of the town. Stopped by omw to the airport to grab brekkie with the fam. I told the lady (Vivian) at the counter we needed the food to go as we're catching a flight. She was sweet and we made small talk... before I know it our food was done (in less than 10 min). Vivian also gave my kiddos some complimentary hot cocoa (which earned her automatic 5 stars in their heart!) while we were waiting for the food to be prepared. Now about the food ... I went with a reviewer here and ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese with hash brown + ketchup on a hard roll (shared w the hubs) and a chai latte. Kiddos got meat with cheese on a hard roll (they're not egg eaters) and hubby got a coffee with cream and sugar. Everything was sooo good!! Hot, fresh, just the right amount so nobody dropped food or made a mess in the car as we devoured everything on the way to JFK airport. THIS is now our fav go to spot for food in NJ :) read more

This breakfast shop is the cutest. I ordered the sausage, egg & cheese w/ a hash brown on an everything bagel. My husband ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on a roll. Both were pretty hefty. I only finished half. I believe it was the owner who gave us samples of the chai latte and vanilla latte which was delicious. My husband ended up ordering a chai latte bc it was so tasty. She also brought over a rhubarb danish on the house for us to share. This place was so cozy with such great service. I would def recommend if you're in the area. I was in no rush, but for some reason I found myself getting annoyed with how long it was taking to order. The cashier was having a nice conversation with the person in front of me. It was clearly more than a transaction, they were connecting with each other. Asking about each other's days and talking about relatable things like the weather. The goal seemed to be happiness over saving time, but being happy is probably the biggest time saver. If stress shortens your life, I'm probably losing so much time by stressing out over getting my coffee a little sooner. It's like those cars that are always swerving through lanes and tailgating people on the highway. They might get to wherever they're going a few seconds or even minutes before the person listening to a podcast in the slow lane, but I'd assume they're a lot more stressed out. I didn't want to be like those drivers on the highway, but I found myself wanting to swerve right in front of their pleasant conversation so I could order my coffee. That's when I knew I was an addict. I needed some coffee to help me wait for my coffee. They should consider having some self pour Kroger's coffee that people can have while they wait in line for the better coffee. Anyway, when I ordered the cashier had a lovely smile and was super friendly. It made me feel bad for being impatient. The coffee was good too. read more

I was craving a breakfast sandwich and a friend of mine had suggested this place. I'm so glad I went because this place delivered! My husband and I both got the bacon, egg and cheese on a specialty roll (I got mine with a hash brown). The bread is so airy, not dense at all like how some other rolls can be, and the bacon is thick and crispy! My husband got a regular coffee which he enjoyed! My husband and I had just landed from a red- eyed flight from California and "yelped" best breakfast sandwiches. DB Breakfast was at the top of the list, so we had our Uber take us directly there. Not realizing they were not due to open for another 35 minutes; we stood outside in the pitch black deciding what to do next. All of a sudden the door opened and the sweetest lady welcomed us in. She was so kind and prepared coffee for us and took our order. This would never had happened in California. My husband ordered the Taylor Ham sandwich and loved it. First time we had every heard of Taylor ham. I order the bacon sandwich and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Thank you Vivian for the warm hospitality. My son was getting a procedure done and I couldn't wait at the clinic. I needed a place to charge my phone so I searched for an open place to grab some coffee and they were a few minutes away. I wasn't expecting much and literally just ordered the first thing that came to my mind. Bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel and a latte. I got a table and plugged my phone in and in a few minutes this beautiful breakfast sandwich was brought over to me. This was no lie, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. This is coming from someone who's had many bagels living in NYC lol the coffee was also great. She even brought me a sample of a hot chai beverage that was to die for. Since I had nowhere to go I sat at their table for over an hour and no one made me feel uncomfortable for being there so long. As we were waiting for our sandwhiches the owner gave my husband and i a tasting of their chai tea...and omg you have got to try it... i dnt like chai tea at all but this was amazing!! I tried the Jubani after the staff described it as a delicious light-roasted coffee packed with caffeine, but in reality, it tasted like bland cardamom water with absolutely no coffee flavor or body. It felt like I was just drinking hot spiced water. The atmosphere was also a major issue as there was no seating available whatsoever. The crowd was mostly of Middle Eastern descent and many were incredibly rude; people will bump right into you and not say a word. Even worse was the way some customers spoke to the workers, it was absolutely deplorable. Honestly, who raised you? It was uncomfortable to witness. The dessert selection was even worse. Most of what we ordered felt stale and old. The only thing worth eating was the bubble dessert with cheese because they actually toast it. We tried both the pistachio milk cake and the pistachio dream cake, and neither was impressive. The khattafi in the pistachio dream was the biggest letdown; it was so stale and bland I can't believe they actually put it out to sell when it was clearly weeks if not months old. The basboosa was also a disappointment, as it was a very small square of semolina cake for almost $5. Overall, It is not a good place for coffee or desserts, so if you do go, stick strictly to the Adeni chai.

The shop is small with limited places to hang out -- there's a small counter where you can stand and sip your coffee. Otherwise, they have a few small tables outside. There's a second room which has cute merch and a fridge with additional cold beverages for sale. I tried the vanilla latte and took home some treats! The spinach handpie - basically a spinach/cheese breakfast pastry, the cinnamon roll (to die for!! It was fluffy and sweet but not overly sweet like other places are), and a pumpkin cheesecake bar with pomegranate seeds. What I really like about Erie is that they make all these delicious treats and once they are sold out, they're sold out. They don't make more for the rest of the day and they don't waste food. It's always fresh!
