Quite organized and some cute items. However, doesn't seem to carry a lot of petite, xs or smaller sized clothing. Also, the pricing is too high for my budget for thrift/ used clothing. Has fitting rooms and nice lighting and rugs. read more

I've been bringing clothes to C.U.T Market in Wailuku for years and always tried to support them, but my experience today was extremely disappointing. I was told that the store credit on my card "expires after one year," even though I was never informed of that policy before. The card itself has no expiration date printed anywhere, and I've even used this same card earlier this year with no problem. Today, they told me the remaining $50 of my store credit was no longer valid. They refused to honor it, which means I basically lost $50 for no reason other than a policy they never communicated. When I explained that no one had ever mentioned an expiration policy, they simply repeated that it was expired. If a business is going to enforce expiration dates on store credit, that needs to be clearly stated, written on the card, and consistent. Instead, this was handled poorly and felt unfair -- especially for someone who has consigned items with them regularly. This is a small store selling "used and recycled items" so I don't understand why the prices are comparable to buying new. It felt like a rip-off! Whoever is setting the prices really needs to be more realistic. The prices are far too high for secondhand items and don't reflect what these used clothing are actually worth. This place is honestly so sad. I was looking at the reviews and everything is right. They are not welcoming AT ALL and gave off such mean girl vibes. The whole store is overpriced for what you call a "THRIFT" store. I also experienced the rudest lady that worked there. She was tall and blonde. I had brought in clothes that were ALL branded and in perfect condition. She took a look at my clothes and gave me such a ridiculous price. She offered me $11 and took like 6 items out of the full bag of stuff I had brought and most items she took were were Brandy Melville, Princess Polly, Garage, and Lululemon. Super ridiculous price compared to what they sell it for. Honestly you guys can check it out, but you will be disappointed for sure. read more

My friend told me about this new thrift store in Wailuku town, we were both super excited to visit especially since their social media is popping. Social media is extremely DECEIVING. As soon as you walk in, you do not feel welcomed at all. I felt so uncomfortable immediately. I had brought a bag full of clothes to trade. Brands inside my bag included American Eagle, Pacsun, Roxy, Zara, etc. When I went to give the clothes to the front desk person, she immediately scolded me for bringing my clothes in trash bag. She asked me to bring the clothes folded in a tote bag. I brushed it off and decided to take a look at what the store had to offer while she inspected my clothes. Long story short, this store is overpriced for some clothes that have been over used. You're better off going inside a store and buying that same thing brand new. (Consumerism sucks, I know, but it's the truth!). The rude lady ended up telling me that they cannot accept anything I brought. Do not waste your time visiting this shop, you will be disappointed. I was extremely turned off from shopping here again due to the fact the lady working didn't greet us but rather greeted the other parties who walked in and than walked back out. Here we are only ones in the store and still no acknowledgement from the lady working. The person with me wanted to try a dress on, I asked the lady if she could and she just pointed to the dressing room and shook her head rudely. She refused to say a word to us. I've always had a pretty lacking experience in this store with both the customer service and the actual items on display. Each time I've been in the store the girls always seemed unwelcoming by largely ignoring me. Even while trying on items and paying at the register I didn't receive much, if any, engagement. I see I am not the only customer who's experienced this, which makes me sad that the owners haven't taken any previous criticism of their customer service to heart. I've been a buyer for buy sell trade in vegas & know the worth of items. but nonetheless, if you're going to be a buyer at least be kind to those who trust you to bring your clothes in. She was a tall blonde lady that i've only seen once or twice, always rude and short. No care for guest experience or even care to do research on items/ tags if she's never seen them before. She took what she knew Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, and Crocs. BORING. If you're going to be a buyer take the time to educate yourself on new brands & take the time to chat and care about the guest in the store. This is a very cute boutique on Market Street in Wailuku. They sell used, previously owned clothes and it is very clean and organized. I also love their great selection. Parking is there on Market Street or in the back in the big parking lot. Customer is always seems great as well. read more

As a Wailuku native, I have personally seen many stores that have come and go on Market Street. Local businesses keep Wailuku authentic and memorable to many. Unfortunately, I do not feel that CUT Market deserves the "hype" and "notoriety" it receives across social media. I came across this establishment through instagram and wanted to support a small local business which came across as "women empowered" and "inclusive". I came into CUT Market with high hopes and was thoroughly let down by the lack of ANY customer service. The store is pretty small in general, I entered the store and recognized that I was the only customer. I immediately seen two ladies working the front register and did not receive ANY acknowledgment from either workers. As time went on, things became awkward, about 5-10 minutes into browsing, I kept looking back at them with a smile to get their attention. Not even a "Hi, Hello, Can I help you, Have you been in here before?" Nothing. No eye contact or acknowledgment from either workers. I even walked past the front desk and was not greeted or asked to start a fitting room. NOTHING. About 20 minutes go by and I am still the only customer. Still was not helped either one of the workers. I ended up leaving CUT Market empty handed and upset. Upon walking out I did not even receive a "bye" or "thank you" as I left. I was blatantly ignored by an establishment that stands for "women empowerment". I've never felt so uncomfortable in a retail environment in my life. Its surprising to experience this kind of customer service at a small town like Wailuku. Even if I found something worth buying, I probably wouldn't have bought it due to the disrespect by employees. read more

I was killing time in Wailuku and I wandered in, initially attracted by the cute storefront! The shop itself is very aesthetically pleasing, with the clothes all sorted by color family, which admittedly makes it a little difficult to find things in your size, but that's part of the fun! I felt like things were a tad on the expensive side, but I was very pleased with the quality of clothes there - this definitely is not a goodwill! I really dislike leaving this sort of review for a local business but I feel the owners could benefit from some feedback. Based on other reviews, I'm not the only customer that feels this way. I have always been a supporter of C.U.T. and shopped there frequently over the years. Yes the customer service hasn't always been great, at times it has even felt awkward walking in the door with no greeting from the owners and no "thank you" on your way out. Like no acknowledgment at all. But I continued to give them my business bc they had cute stuff every once in awhile and I like to support local. I was excited for their new location and took in a small bag of clothes for them to look through and to check out the new spot. I was really disappointed. The clothes on the racks were pretty worn, over priced, and not stylish or trendy at all. Brands like Wild Fable from Target? After the owner looked through my clothes and sent me back with what I thought were clothes of value, I quickly took the $20 over store credit and decided I won't be giving C.U.T my business for awhile. Aside from the poor selection and what they choose to buy, a little customer service goes a long way and I would definitely still shop there if the owners were a little more genuine. I know a lot of locals feel the same way and I encourage the owners to not take themselves so seriously :) hope to see some changes in the future. read more
