Years ago I was a patient of Dr. Steiner and I have never forgotten what a professional and incredible doctor he was to me. He really made a lasting impression. My problems exceeded acupuncture & chiropractic treatment so I moved on. Meanwhile, when it came to placing my 16 year old daughter in the right hands, Dr. Steiner was the first person I thought of. In short, my daughter has taken on mysterious problems this past year: daily headaches, dizziness, hair loss, a horrible joint pain, etc. My first course of action was to take her to our Pediatrician. They did a series of tests. She had a physical, blood work & CAT Scan, to name a few, all negative. Another doctor who was evaluating her suggested a Rheumatologist. But before I decided to take that step I wanted Dr. Steiner to evaluate her. We had our initial visit. Dr. Steiner was able to acknowledge/ validate/ support her concerns and had a logical explanation for the source of her problems. He did a few adjustments and introduced acupuncture. Perfect strategy to help difuse her anxiety and better prepare her for the next visit. From one pregnant woman to all the others....this is not for you! I came in hoping to get a little relief from fibroid and heavy baby pain on my back. The doctor was awesome. He knows his stuff and I love that he's totally an all natural doc. I'm not a fan of people who push pills. We talked for a good 10 minutes then he stuck a few needles in me. After he left is when it went down hill. The tables they make you lay on are not for pregnant women. I had to lay on it for 20 minutes. It was impossible to relax. The table was causing me neck, hip and leg pain in places I'd never felt pain or aching before. I kept trying to adjust my position but nothing helped. I was miserable. After my time was up this woman took the needles out of me and told me to have a good day. She didn't tell me what to expect or if there would be any side effects. Within the first 30 minutes my aches got worse, I got dizzy and nauseous. I spent the next two hours at home laying down. I wish they had informed me acupuncture could cause dizziness, nausea and aching at the needle site. The one that was by my neck caused the the most pain. All day the muscles that surrounded the area where the needles were ached when I turned my head or touched the spot. Overall not a place for pregnant women. I won't be going back while pregnant but maybe when I'm not. The doctor is fantastic and knows his stuff! I just wish they were able to make patients more comfortable for the 20 minutes they have to lay there and that someone were to talk to them after about side effects and what to expect. read more

I'm shocked there are no other reviews!! Dr. Greg Steiner is hands down the best chiropractor in town- just ask the readers of the Allen American who voted him Best Chiropractor in Allen this month. His acupuncture practice is what really drew me into his office a few years back. When it comes to acupuncture it seems as though there is often a great disparity from one practitioner to the next. Both as far as how they treat (or over treat) a person a As if that was not enough Dr. Steiner is an incredibly educated man he went to school and has travelled all over the world. s well as how knowledgable they are and therefore how effective the treatments can be. Dr S. Does not over treat. He's also a really good listener and carries himself with a great deal of humility and compassion. Beyond that he's a good human being. He's married with a large family and it's very apparent they are the loves of his life. I always feel positive energy from him and I feel blessed to be his patient. His office accepts many forms of insurance and his staff are very good at handling all that stuff. They are also professional and personable as well as being very down to earth. The office is open with varied hours to allow for people with any schedule to find the time for an appointment and they are even open Saturdays! If you've never had acupuncture I encourage you to give it a try for whatever is ailing you. I originally made an appt with Dr Steiner almost 2 years ago for regular headaches. The headaches I experienced were 3 day events. Not a migraine, but a severe headache that would last 3-4 days. I would get these frequently and could never pinpoint the reason (other than possible degenerative discs in my neck). After seeing Dr. Steiner (started a couple times a week) my headaches became less severe right away and ultimately have pretty much gone away. I haven't had the same painful headache (like what I experienced regularly) for over a year and a half. If I do get a Headache the severity is not even close to previous pain. Long story but here goes. I was on a plan for acupuncture $100 a month then 2nd-99 visit $25 each until next month. So I was so much better that I cancelled plan. Well apparently I had paid for a month and didn't use it. Fast forward 3-4 months. I call in and say "I'm getting in bad shape again and need to restart the plan!" The lady responded "u paid for a month and didn't use it. So u can have 2 visits free before we start the plan!!!!" Now that is honest ppl right there!!!!!! Dr. Steiner has a very friendly manner and provides a very relaxing atmosphere. He has a high level of expertise in chiropractic adjustment and accupuncture. My level of pain has gone from a 9 ( high) to a 2 ( low) in a matter of weeks. I am now pain free in my neck, shoulders, and back. If you're thinking about becoming a new patient , this office has a very hard time conducting business. I've tried to set up an appointment twice now and they can't seem to set this up. The office took my contact and insurance information the 1st time and said they would follow up with me to set up an appointment. I received a voicemail from them two days later stating they lost my insurance information. So a week later I stopped back in the office to give this info to them again. They apologized and stated I would hear back from them within just a couple hours that same day... Now 3-4 weeks, I still haven't heard from them at all. I have no idea how good their docs are at this office, but their customer service in the front office is well below average. read more
