About 2 years ago, she performed a comprehensive hearing exam and reprogrammed my existing aids to greatly improve my hearing. She explained the advantages of upgrading to newer aids without being pushy. When I recently had a problem with one of these very old hearing aids, she was able to quickly see me and bring the hearing aid back to life. She also provided supplies and taught me how to care for them which my original audiologist did not do. I highly recommend Dr Prather for all your hearing needs.

I was never informed about this fee, was explicitly told it's a trial with free return during that period, and I was pressured to sign an agreement on the spot without being given time to read or understand it, which is outright illegal. The customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. Dr. Brienne Honan falsely claimed I was told about the fee, even though she wasn't even present when I signed. She appears willing to say whatever is necessary to protect the business, regardless of the truth. I returned to the office over nine times because I still couldn't hear in real-world settings (non-Bluetooth), and they still couldn't fix the issue. So I asked for something covered by my insurance to which they said no - they only want to sell Phonak and oticon. They have no empathy and did not care that I was crying to them that I couldn't hear (wouldn't even offer a tissue from the box on her desk). After spending thousands of dollars and receiving no real support, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The manipulation, dishonesty, and lack of accountability speak volumes. Dr. Honan does not have the attitude for customer-facing service. She escalated and made everything worse.

I booked an appointment online at Hearing Health Center for Monday at 4 PM, and called as soon as they opened, hoping for something earlier. Andrew at the front desk was amazing and got us in sooner. We saw Dr. Sheri Larks, and she was phenomenal--warm, calm, funny, and incredibly good at explaining everything. She talked my daughter through both the plan and the backup plan, then used gentle techniques to remove the wax. In just 20 minutes, all of it was out safely and effectively. My daughter can hear better now than she has in years. One more thing I appreciated: while we were in the waiting room, I noticed a few patients who seemed to have dementia or confusion--something that's apparently common with hearing issues in older adults. The staff treated them with such patience, respect, and kindness. It really stood out. Bottom line: if you're dealing with earwax, skip the at-home methods and urgent care clinics. Just come here. They're amazing.

You cannot drive a vehicle with your window open. Because it would be so staticky, it blows your eardrum out. They are bad with central air and circular fans also cant where on windy day. Do not go outside. My hearings aids were returned to fix the issue and came back with a programing problem. I wish I would of never been given these. For 6800 you think they would not have issues. I contacted widex and said take it up with office and sales rep. I hope they have a lemon law. These are garbage. If they won't take them back I guess they are trash. Next call will be to insurance company and file a complaint about widex. Hopefully they won't cover this brand any longer so another person wont get screwed.

Co. paid everything except $5 but they added $25 onto my bill claiming I signed a Compliance Form - my Ins. Co. told me I did not owe it. Since I had problems with the tablet, they did it for me, answered all the questions & told me to sign the Compliance Form which I did not know what it was - forced into paying them extra $25. First thing coming out of young inexperienced doctor was: You need new hearing aids & you have very good insurance, they will pay $5,000 (before I was even tested). There's nothing wrong with my hearing aids & I can hear good. She told me everything opposite of what my Retired Experience Doctor. The office staff, Selina, was very unprofessional. When I mentioned that online on another site, the owner who is also young & dishonest stated that girl was not in the office day of my appointment - LIED. The woman at the desk was extremely unfit for her position, complaining about this reasonable request under her breath right in front of me and basically threatening that I would have to reschedule. An office manager had to email them to the front desk to print them for me which for some reason took 30 minutes. Today I needed a well-visit and I needed a medical fitness form signed for the Illinois Secretary of State (I have been in remission from relapsing-remitting MS for ten years and do not currently see a neurologist). Christa Harlan-Egan refused to sign the form on the basis that she couldn't see neuro notes from 10+ years ago. When I asked her what ten year old neurology notes would tell her about my current condition more so than a current physical assessment, the absence of any neurological or neuromuscular complaints in the 8 or so years I've been seen by the practice or, I don't know, the fact that I am a inpatient obstetric nurse and professional yoga instructor? She then walked out of the room citing that the appointment started late and the next patient was here, so I would have to reschedule. I will never forgive the unprofessionalism of virtually every person I encountered at that office displayed today. I did sound off about this in local Facebook groups and many are leaving this practice generally and have complaints about Dr. Harlan-Egan specifically for rude and unprofessional behavior. My husband says he doesn't feel strongly about his doctor and will also leave the group.
