If you enjoy boating, the ride to and from Cabbage Key is the ticket. Less than an hour each way through beautiful waters, around the Private Useppa Island, and past the state park Caya costa, you arrive to the shelter Harbor of historic cabbage key. The staff is so friendly, the food is good, watch the tortoises play... Enjoy your life... It's a day you'll remember !

We took the boat tour ro this island and had lunch at this restaurant that gets veeeeeeery busy around lunch time. It's a very tiny island and this is the only restaurant. We had a great time enjoying our meal with live music and a beautiful view on a Saturday afternoon. Food is ok. Like bar food. Not many vegetarian or healthy options but their vegetarian burger was pretty tasty They are dog friendly!

This restaurant is only accessible by boat and has such a cool history. The place was absolutely packed with folks having food and drinks. Since everything is brought in a boat, it is on the pricer side but it's expected being out in the middle of the ocean! The one dollar bills all over the walls are iconic and their Cabbage Creppers definitely sneak up on you. While we were there they also had live music.

Love a restaurant that I take a boat as my transportation. The grounds are beautiful and it's lovely to go up the water tower for a beautiful view. Of course the prices are high because of the location. we enjoyed our beach burgers. But they do charge an extra for any additions. That one caught us by surprise.

I stopped in with family while out on a boating trip. You can only get here via boat. I would highly recommend getting here early. The restaurant opens at 11am for lunch service but fills up very fast, so rush up to get your name on the list. We got lucky to get seated in the first wave of seating. The menu is not very extensive but does offer salads, shrimp dishes, fish, and of course burgers. This restaurant is known to be the reference for Cheeseburger in Paradise. While others at the table did order a Cheeseburger, I ordered the Shrimp salad. The shrimp salad was served over a tomato with sides of coleslaw and potato salad. All really fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this dish for something light at lunch time. The Cheeseburgers I heard were good too. Here you do pay for water since it is served by bottle. We even added a dollar bill to the restaurants decor!

It is a short boat ride to Cabbage Key. We saw a lot of dolphins jumping right aside of our boat to put us in a good mood. Sandra then took great care of us and we had a fantastic lunch with the Crab Claw appetizer, "cheeseburger in paradise", the best Key Lime pie, and some Cabbage Creepers. The atmosphere was chill and the other patrons were chatty. It is a fun short 1/2 day trip to believe in the Jimmy Buffet myth.

We saw manatees, tons of birds, a million dolphin, and there are even tortoises that live on the island.

Dock master was an ass hole. Decided not to eat after boating all the way from Eldrids. Some hospitality.

This past Saturday night this was the best place in the world To be, if not for the attentive caring and thoughtful staff my beautiful wife would have lost her life. Thank you for paying attention for seeing things that I was incapable of seeing and taking action to get EMS there as quickly as possible, life-saving measures were taken to save her life and if not for YOU She would not bee here, we are grateful we really were bummed we missed out on the crème brûlée so we will definitely be back to finish our anniversary weekend dinner blessed

We saved Wickies Lighthouse Restaurant for our final dinner of a weeklong trip to Sanibel Island,…read moreand it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire vacation. Every seat in the restaurant was filled, which tells you everything you need to know. Make a reservation because this place is incredibly popular. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Our server was warm, attentive, and somehow managed to provide exceptional service despite the restaurant being completely packed. The entire staff made our last night on the island feel special. We forgot to take photos of the appetizers, but trust me, don't skip them. The fried green tomatoes were the unanimous favorite at our table and an absolute must-order. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also ordered the conch fritters, which our family always seeks out whenever we're in Florida, and these were honestly some of the best we've ever had. The crab cakes were delicious as well, but the fried green tomatoes and conch fritters definitely stole the show. For my entrée, I ordered the Quinoa Steak Salad, and I was shocked by the size. The portion is enormous and could easily be shared by two people, or even serve as a family-style salad for three or four. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the combination of quinoa, avocado, fresh vegetables, and cheese made it both hearty and refreshing. Several people at our table ordered the evening special, the blackened snapper over mushroom risotto, and it was phenomenal. The snapper was perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor, while the creamy mushroom risotto complemented it beautifully. It was easily one of the standout dishes of the evening. The honey glazed salmon was another favorite at our table. The braised short ribs were rich, tender, and beautifully presented. One person in our group ordered the stuffed lobster and thoroughly enjoyed it, mentioning both the flavor and the generous portion size. The fish tacos were good, but with so many exceptional dishes on the table, they simply weren't the standout. Between the exceptional food, generous portions, outstanding service, and lively atmosphere, this was the perfect way to end our week on Sanibel Island. It's easy to see why every table was full. If you're visiting Sanibel, make reservations in advance. This restaurant is popular for a reason, and after dining here, we completely understand why. Five stars. We can't wait to come back.
