Problems started when I had a leak at the base of my shower on the side with the shower arm and controls. The leak went into the basement and through the wall which caused massive damage to my brand new closet system in my walk in closet and the floor in there on the other side of the wall from the shower. I was left with over $5,000 in damages. I couldn't file an insurance claim really. I have renters that share my home with me and I had to evict a renter for severe damage to my basement and the basement bedroom he was living in. Due to the amount of damage we had to split it into 4 claims. So they told me if I filed another claim, I wouldn't be able to file anymore for 7 years. DreamMaker did agree to fix the problems but they told me it would take a few months because there was a back log on acquiring materials. They came out and caulked the area where the leak was because I had company coming and I needed the shower operational. It was my understanding that the temporary fix was good until they were able to repair it permanently. I was fine with that. A few months went by and there was no follow up from them at all. I sent an e-mail and 3 days went by so I contacted a lawyer to send them my intent to go to court. When I called for their fax number and the employee at DreamMaker realized what I was doing, they suddenly became very responsive. However, I had another representative call and say to me, we did everything we said we were going to do on the appropriate time schedule. You weren't supposed to be using the shower anyway. I felt like they were victim blaming and shaming me. If they somehow thought that would win my business again, then I don't know what the hell they were thinking. So the bathroom originally looked nice, but they're working on it right now and they tore out the shower and the tile floor they just put in. I know mistakes happen, but given the leak, the victim blaming and shaming, the lack of follow up, and their lack of concern for how much I pad out in damages, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

There…read morewas a lot of upfront planning (i.e., repeat measurements, clarifying expectations, selecting materials, etc.), but their approach works in order to anticipate and plan for potential hiccups. Ken even had other subcontractors come out to ensure that we had the best estimate for the work. They kept us in the loop, cleaned up at the end of the day, and always demonstrated a high level of professionalism (i.e., early/on time, respectful, reliable, etc.), which made them stand out compared to all the other contractors we contacted. The only downside was the cost relative to other contractors. However, as newbie homeowners we've learned that the contractor fees tend to be higher in Ann Arbor. Although, we feel that the fee was well worth it in the end because of their stellar work. The bathroom previously was a room to avoid, and a space that we didn't use. They truly transformed our space. Looking forward to ADB helping us with our next project!!

The workers came over on time and were very nice, but apparently there was some question about the integrity of the hoop itself. They installed it without asking any questions, and after they left I noticed the hoop could only extend to a max of 6 feet tall, rendering it useless. Why wouldn't you talk to me before you cemented it in? Now I'm out $225 and all they offered to do is cut it down and I got the reply " we did what you asked us to do." * update: the "Fabulous Mr. Fix It" still hasn't removed the hoop as promised. He was not good, didn't know what he was talking about, quoted us about 4X the typical pricing. We said no way and asked for a reschedule with our usual guy. The date finally came for our usual guy and they sent someone else! They can't even get the scheduling right and don't seem to have as many reliable/good employees anymore.

I called the morning the work was scheduled to confirm that someone was coming. I was told that they didn't have anyone who "were available" to do the work and work order had been cancelled. They didn't have anyone to do the work at all. Why was the work scheduled in the first place? I was not notified of the cancellation despite the CSR's claim that "her co-worker" did so.

It's never his fault no matter how poor of a job he does. Charged me $75/hr for flooring only to show up and see his painter doing the flooring. Unbelievably squeaky floors. I can hear them from downstairs. When I told him the floors are squeaky, he told me the house was old. I wish I could upload a video that shows the noise.

A2 Painters were great! Our home was due for a repaint (and we wanted to change up the colors), so…read morewe had a few different painting contractors come out for a quote. Aaron at A2 walked around the house and told us about their thorough process, and followed up with a very reasonable and very competitive quote. It took a little while to actually get the process going, but solely due to (very) hot weather and rain. We were 100% OK with this, because we wouldn't want to be painting outside in 90+ degree weather either! Soon enough though his crew showed up and got to work. They worked quickly and efficiently, and in just ~4 business days they were all done. For reference, we had A2 paint: entire house body (ranch, ~1100 sqft), foundation, all trim and all gutters from black to white, and entire garage (almost 4 car) and trim. The painters were also very knowledgeable in regards to what will look good and what won't. We were surprised that there were a few details we just never thought of (for example, the trim on our newer windows poked out from the house, and the painters strongly recommended that we paint the sides of the trim to match the house), and the painters had the experience to say "we think you should paint this piece body color, and this other piece trim color" - and it worked perfectly! When the painters were finished on the last day, they walked us around and did a thorough review of the house, which was really nice. We did find one or two very minor issues, which they promptly apologized for and fixed. Then they cleaned up and left the place as clean as it was when they arrived. Overall we are very happy with our new house colors, and the entire process with A2 Painters! Next time we need painting, we will be sure to go back to Aaron and A2.

We found the work to be extremely high quality with superior attention to detail and done within 2 days. They maintained work hours between approximately 8am and 4pm, and left their workspace clean. They fixed any wall flaws (e.g. wall anchor holes) beautifully and I cannot identify where a single one used to be. When a miscommunication resulted in a color mix-up, this was quickly corrected without controversy. They even installed new LED can lights in the bonus room - Which was their suggestion to really finish the look. They will be returning after our carpet installation to touch up any wall/paint damage that may have occurred during that time. Overall, C & Q delivered outstanding work and level of service! We look forward to working with this company in the future!
