Some kitchen designers are great and some are not. The cabi et selections are lower to medium end.

In March I ordered a cabinet for my bathroom remodel. Everything went well with that order so I ordered $8,000.00 worth of cabinets for my kitchen remodel. I told them I wanted the same exact style of cabinets for my kitchen as I had got for my bathroom. Needless to say, I got a different style of cabinet. Not only that, I also had to make the cuts on the oven cabinets. None of this was told to me. I gave them the dimensions of all the appliances for no reason. I assumed these were custom cabinets and I assumed they could look up my last order to see what style cabinet I got before. In addition, never order cabinets by Mantra. Their customer service is as bad as Cabinet Warehouse. Never assume they will do their job. Go elsewhere. read more

I purchased my cabinets from Cabinet Warehouse in November. The cabinets themselves are great! I love the color, quality and options. The cabinet installer, Austin, was also great; he was fast, efficient, and prompt. Outside of those two things, my experience has been absolutely awful. The contractor they referred me to ended terribly. They would show up late and leave early every day. The told me the minimal patching needed for my floor wouldn't be a problem; they ended up screwing my floor up so bad I had to bring in a specialist to fix the floor and refinish the entire thing to the tune of thousands of dollars. After we agreed to terminate their services (with the job left unfinished), they then tried to get me to pay additional funds for services they didn't provide. I mapped out the entire job and they actually owe me over $2000 and unsurprisingly stopped responding to my communication when I sent them everything. I was assigned a project manager who I rarely, if ever heard from. She wouldn't respond to my emails until I looped in my sales manager and even then, needed at least three emails to actually answer my question. She never coordinated logistics for any part of my project outside of an initial email. Both the general contractor and the countertop contractor started reaching out to me directly due to a lack of communication on her end. The countertop and backsplash details sent to the countertop contractor were outdated and have resulted in my having a piece that is a different material because the cut specifications were off. I requested specific features for my sink that ended up not being met and was basically told "oh sorry" and then no further communication. The timeframes I was given were also way off and the project took weeks longer than it should have to complete. If you chose to use Cabinet Warehouse, only do so if you have your own contractor for the actual installation and other construction needed. Be prepared to be your own project manager and manage all of the details of your project. I started out so excited and hopeful for my kitchen remodel. It turned into a project that didn't finish until last week and thousands of extra dollars spent to fix a myriad of issues. Proceed with caution. read more

Scott, our designer from the Denver location, was so easy to work with. He assessed our needs and budget and came up with amazing cabinet options for our basement bar and bathroom. When our contractor inadvertently used up more trim than planned, we called Scott, paid for the piece over the phone and he personally delivered the needed piece on his way home on the same day. I saw the sign off I-70 that says 'Public Welcome' (or something like that) on the Cabinet Warehouse building and decided to stop in to price out cabinets for my kitchen. Genevieve was the only person there and when I told her my budget you could tell she was NOT interested. I immediately felt embarrassed that I didn't have more money and it was clear she really didn't want to deal with me since I wasn't going to be a big spender (she must be commission based). She did draw up some plans for me with the dimensions I provided and sent me the plans within 48 hours. I responded with some questions about the cabinets & also whether they could be delivered to my home, but I never heard anything back and when I followed up again, she said she'd been gone and I should check out the cabinet website directly. That was it. The cabinet website did not answer any of my questions! What a waste of time. If Cabinet Warehouse only wants to provide customer service to big spending clients and contractors, then they need to take down the 'public welcome' sign. I heard from a coworker that she had the EXACT same experience with Genevieve and Cabinet Warehouse. Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else. read more

Beware! Cabinet Warehouse has one crew and they are inept. Make sure Javier is on site before you have their crew install your countertops. He's the only one that knows what he's doing. If you don't, the below may happen to you. This company installed granite countertops in my home. They arrived, without Javier, with a cracked bathroom sink because it was thrown in the back of a pickup truck like a piece of trash. They set the undermount kitchen sink incorrectly. It was not centered. They came back a few days later with Javier to correct it. They installed my sides plash in the bathroom with a piece that was too short. They seamed in a shorter piece and tried to make it look like one piece. Dishonest! They came back with Javier and replaced it. The job required 1/2 down and 1/2 when the job was finished. I asked the owner, Ryan Dorris for 10% off the final price because of the huge inconvenience they caused me, not having the use of the kitchen sink for 5 days. He threatened to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay up. Disgraceful business practices and horrible customer service! read more

What a horrible experience! I have not felt so disrespected and disposable by a company in a long time. As recent homeowners, we have been remodeling our home and the low prices were obviously attractive to us. We placed an order on the 6th of April and were expecting to wait 4-6 weeks for the cabinets to arrive. Here we are, 8 weeks later (June 6th) and still no phone call so we called them. They informed us that our cabinets had been sitting in their warehouse for a month! They said they have a record that they called us on the 7th of May, but clearly we never got a message. We drove down there immediately and asked to talk to the man we had been working with, Joe. He seemed "confused" when we commented on the lack of communication and resorted to showing us the written note that there had been a phone call made on the 5th of May. They went on about how "sometimes when we call, people aren't ready to pick their order up or they don't have the money..." - which, ok, maybe sometimes that happens but that's not what happened here. We have been without a kitchen for 2 months and could have had it a whole month ago! What an inconvenience! There were no apologies, and when I asked what they could do to make it right, I was met with "What do you want?", so I said "15-20% seems fair to me" and the guy laughed and said absolutely not, there was no way he could do that because their prices are already so low. He said it's a small company and they could never ever afford to do that. They kept telling me that we should have been calling because they only call once and that it wasn't their fault (so exactly whose fault was it? Mine? Because I wasn't calling them every day to check if my cabinets had arrived?!) They were defensive, rude and didn't even attempt to make us feel better about our purchase. He said that our two options were to buy them full price or get a refund. He asked me what I do for a living, which I never think is an appropriate question; it's clearly none of his business and I don't see the relevance. I told him that. And the truth is, I have been in customer service for 10 years. But you don't have to be in customer service to know when you're being mistreated. Anyway, rather than an apology, an understanding as to why we would be upset that we were unaware that our order had been there a whole month, or even a mere $100 off, they chose to refund our card and after I signed the receipt, he chucked my copy on the table and walked off without a word! That whole experience could have been so much better and it's a shame it ended that way but I am so glad to not have given them my money. If they had at least apologized sincerely instead of saying "It's not OUR fault!" and tried to blame US for not having called sooner, then we probably would have taken our order home! Is it crazy of me to assume that they would have called us and left a message when our order arrived!? Instead they chose to blame the customer and be condescending and take absolutely zero responsibility for the lack of communication! They may be a "small company" but I know a lot of local business owners who understand that with a smaller company it is even MORE important to keep your customers happy. Then those happy customers can send others your way and that's how the business grows. If these guys consider themselves a small company now, I'd love to see how in the world their business will grow with this disgraceful lack of customer service. read more

Honestly, my review would have been 1 star if it weren't for the ever helpful and patient Pablo and our amazing installer Eddie. We were locked into using Cabinet Warehouse due to needing an exact match of some cabinets we already had and if we had a choice from our initial experiences we would have gone elsewhere. For most of this transaction we worked with Genevieve and had an absolutely atrocious experience between miscommunications, delays in installation, her mocking us for our questions asked and ignorance to general cabinet knowledge, and inaccurate measurements. Throughout the transaction we mentioned installation, Genevieve came out to measure to make sure the installers could make things fit (we found out later that the measurements she took resulted in some cabinets not being able to open due to being too flush with a wall with a light switch on it), when I ordered I clarified that we would schedule the installation once the cabinets arrived and she said yes. When the cabinets finally came, Genevieve called to say they would be dropped off and when I asked about installation she informed me that they were not planning on installing and it would be a month before anyone could get out to install them. We had already been without a kitchen for a month at this point and another month due to this error was unfathomable. They dropped the cabinets off in the garage despite our request to have them inside so we spent quite some time moving them inside which was no easy feat for a pregnant woman and her husband. I tried to call my general contractor to see if he could do an emergency install, but he was booked so I went back to Genevieve and asked if there was anything she could do. I'll acknowledge that she was helpful in trying to get an installer out. After a few days she let me know that someone would contact me to get them installed within the next couple days; this is where Eddie comes in. Eddie was fantastic in making the inaccurate measurements work with our kitchen. He followed up when we needed him to come back to install pulls and fix a couple things and his demeanor was friendly and helpful. We received a pantry with no shelves and reached out to Genevieve to ask where they were; she explained that we could purchase them and when I frustratingly replied that we discussed that we wanted standard shelves in the top and rollout in the bottom and wondered why a cabinet would come with no shelves she simply said "I'm sorry that is how it comes." That's when I called Pablo and he listened to my experience, stressed that this was important to him, and worked to resolve the issue immediately. We are waiting on the shelves, but the fact that Eddie and Pablo were so helpful really saved our perception of this company. I would recommend working with Eddie or Pablo again. Genevieve might be good to work with if you are an experienced person/contractor that knows exactly what you need, but that wasn't us and we were new to the process looking for some help getting through the biggest project we have ever completed. This company is definitely geared towards working with contractors so if you are an individual consumer I'd work with Pablo. read more
