If you want an escape from the city life, and have a restful and relaxing weekend, this is the place to go! The cabins are clean, spacious, and comfortable and the free scones and cookies were delicious!! We loved the bonfire and stargazing at night too! Clayton and Christy are very welcoming and very easy to contact. Definitely coming back here!

My husband and I wanted a quick weekend getaway. Something where we could escape the hustle and bustle even if for a few days. After searching for the perfect place we found it. It was a bit out of our planned budget but we saved and I'm glad since it was sooooo worth it. It rained most of our stay but that was fine. We chose the Little White House for the large front porch where we sat, watched the rain deer and squirrels running from tree to tree. Christy and Clayton were perfect host. There are so many things we loved! The goodies! The homemade granola! The local coffee! We ordered breakfast to be delivered on Saturday morning and enjoyed it on the peaceful porch. Delicious! The cabin is only about 8 miles from Main St where the town shops are located. It's a beautiful drive. We are planning on making a trip to Cabins at Red Rock a yearly tradition. Stay here! You won't regret it.

Do not even look anywhere else - stay here. Clayton and Christy are the best hosts and we cannot wait to return on a future trip to Fredericksburg. The property is beautiful. It is a little off the beaten path but within 10-15 minutes of many of the wineries, shopping, and anything else you may want to do in Fredericksburg. Each morning and evening we enjoyed watching the deer in the field in front of our cabin. Each night we enjoyed sitting by the campfire that Clayton graciously started for us and left us with plenty of wood for the night. There were even blankets for snuggling while sitting by the fire. The food is AMAZING. We ordered smores our first night and breakfast each morning and everything was homemade and delicious. The snacks left in our cabin were so yummy and we are so sad when we ate all our granola (I kept tipping the container hoping more would magically appear hahaha). Breakfast was hand delivered by Christy to our cabin each morning and each day it was different and hot. Delicious does not even describe these breakfasts. I am sad I can't take Christy home with me to cook breakfast each day hahaha. The Little White House is where we stayed and it was adorable on the inside and out. It can fit up to 6 people, although it was perfect for the 2 of us. The bathroom has a jetted tub and has all the standard things you would need (towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, extra toilet paper, and some other toiletries). The kitchen has a minifridge, coffee maker, microwave, a hot plate, and standard supplies (paper towels, coffee, coffee filters, tea bags, dish soap, trash bags, cups, glasses, mugs, etc). Dont worry you dont need an oven or a stove because you have Christy to make you tasty food during your stay (see above hahaha)! We cannot wait to return to Cabins at Red Rock and we wish wish Clayton and Christy all the best with their B&B!

After finding a couple of places closed, we called Barons Creekside. Best thing we ever did! We spoke to Lasca, who was actually out with her family for dinner Despite this, she got us set up in the cutest farmhouse, gave us directions and instructions to get in, and after her dinner was over, she stopped by to check if we needed anything. The excellent service did did not stop there. We were treated like family, and we really enjoyed walking the beautiful, scenic grounds and hanging out at "The Club" on property! Next time we go to Fredericksburg, we know where we will stay - at Barons Creekside!

The cabin is well appointed with everything you need and super clean. The daily breakfast is so delicious and the owners are open to dietary modifications if you need them. We stayed in The Roost cabin and ate on the back porch each morning. If you get up early you can have your coffee on the front porch while watching the deer. Or watch them while enjoying a glass of wine at dusk. I'm sure we'll be back as the cabins are close enough to Fredericksburg to see the sights but far enough in the country to give you time to slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Steve and Glenda (the property owners) were AWESOME. So kind and welcoming from the minute we arrived. When we pulled up to our cabin and got out we were greeted by a friendly bunch of chickens, they actually ran up to greet us. :o) The cabin was picturesque... there was a screened in sitting area on the back porch with comfy rocking chairs and additional chairs and a beautiful covered front porch with rocking chairs and a chiminea. When we walked in the cabin looked just as it did in the pictures online. Beautifully decorated and very clean. A king sized bed in the main area with a small kitchen equipped with; microwave, small refrigerator (freezer had 2 ice trays and fridge had 4 waters), plates, wine glasses and opener, cups, coffee mugs, keurig (coffee, tea bags, creamer and sugar), dish washing soap, etc. The bathroom was the perfect size with a walk in shower (it was very clean). The loft upstairs was perfect, again very clean and super cute. It is a small space but perfect for climbing in for a good nights sleep. There was an oscillating fan in the loft which helped with the air circulation. Very cozy! Both beds were very comfortable. There was a flat screen smart TV in the main area, we were able to watch Netflix or regular television. The AC worked great. In the evening we sat on the front porch and had a fire in the chiminea. Steve and Glenda stopped us on our way in on our first night there and asked how we liked our eggs prepared, they also asked if we had any dietary restrictions. They told us that they would deliver our breakfast to our door the next morning between 8:30am-9am. The next morning they were right on time and did not disappoint. A beautiful display (see picture)... fresh eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, homemade biscuits, homemade apple butter (to die for), fresh squeezed orange juice. It was a WONDERFUL, down to each little detail. The next morning we had another great breakfast... fresh eggs, sausage links, french toast w/ strawberries and bananas, walnuts and more fresh squeezed orange juice. Glenda also made us a sweet treat (individual chocolate lava cakes) that Steve delivered to us on Saturday afternoon. YUM! We had a memorable weekend in Fredericksburg... a wonderful place to stay, a great wine tour (290 Wine Shuttle), good food and laughs. I will come back and stay at this beautiful place again. Thank you Steve and Glenda for providing us the perfect home away from home for the weekend!

Upon first walking into the cabin, it had a strong odor of perfume or room spray. We had to air it out for an hour as the scent was heavy. We paid for a $90 dollar add on romance package. It included a standard bottle of an Oak Leaf Vineyard Chardonnay and a few Hershey's chocolates. This particular cabin included a loft. Our teen slept up there during our stay. It was fairly dusty and the floor wasn't clean. The cabin is fine if you plan on constant and consistent excursions in nearby Fredericksburg or local wineries. The cabin itself is charming but it could really use a deep cleaning. My allergies were triggered due to the dust inside. The first night we stayed, I turned down the bed and there was hair on the sheets that didn't belong to me or my spouse. Also, a previous guest left a claw clip on the floor next to the bed. Morning breakfast was no frills but much appreciated. Assorted yoghurts, bread, meats, cheese, boiled eggs, a few grape tomatoes and some fresh berries were delivered to the cabin at 8 am every morning. Internet is made available to guests but the signal was poor where we were at. We were unable to get online via WiFi and had to leave a bit away to get a good cellular signal. FYI, Verizon is terrible in this location. The kitchen has a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Those are nice conveniences. One of the owners works at Der Lindenbaum and recommended it. The food is good German fare. Fredericksburg has several German restaurants to choose from. What is interesting to note is that right now the majority of our state is in a drought. So the grounds here were sandlike/dusty or have dried out grass. There is an area outside the cabins that has a small fire pit with chairs circled around. We didn't utilize that as we were exhausted by the time we got back from being out all day. Overall, if you like fairy tale themes and privacy, this is a place to consider. It is tucked into a neighborhood; the neighbors are spread far apart and it's a quiet area.

Had to go into town to find someone to lead us to the property at night. "Pecan" cabin was filthy. Bedding had human hair in it. Refrigerator also had human hair in it. Had to find a Wal-Mart at 11:00 at night to buy sheets, blanket, pillows, towels and soap (bathroom had no soap). The loft was a joke. About 3-4 feet from floor to ceiling. Bedding again was dirty. Breakfast consisted of cold scrambled eggs and a bowl of cut up fruit that was old (1-2 days). We cancelled breakfast service for day 2. The unit was never serviced. Beds were never made and towels were not replaced. This is a poorly managed property. Stay away unless you want to spend your time cleaning the unit enough to make it liveable vs. enjoying Fredericksburg. Grape Creek Ranch Bed & Breakfast is a poor reflection on Fredericksburg, TX. The manager, Lindsey, said it's hard for them to "keep the mice out" and we asked her if she had mice traps. She did not offer to clean it up but brought us a new dish rack from a different cabin. We were waiting for these activities listed on their website but they were not available. Someone had just come to light a bonfire and then left. Nothing else below was available. * Kids Nature Activities: Once a day, there will be nature activities for the kids, such as; collecting creek pebbles and painting them, making collages from fallen leaves, and learning to spot deer tracks by making hoof print plasters. * Bonfire with S'mores - On weekends and Holidays, Grape Creek Ranch guests can enjoy a bonfire and delicious s'mores under the grand Texas Hill Country stars. * Petting Zoo: Kids and adults alike can enjoy a small animal petting zoo. * Guests are welcome every morning to help us feed the Horses, the Lamas, the bunnies and chickens and collect eggs. Upon leaving in the morning, we found mouse feces all over the kitchen utensil drawer (and we had used those utensils), next to the downstairs bed on the window sill, and in all the bottom cabinets of kitchen. We pulled the mini fridge outside to defrost the freezer for the future guests (it was so filled with ice you couldn't put anything in it) and there was feces behind there too. There were dead bugs on all the windowsills and the wifi was not working. The manager had told me there was supposed to be a note in the house about the wifi not working but we didn't see anything. We asked Linsey for a refund but she said they could not give a refund. She said they could give us a free night or 50% off at a B&B that she personally owned. Overall, we would never recommend this place to anyone!
