Had a great view of Sunday night's fireworks from the top floor balcony. Parking can be a bit tricky. but that's true of anything at Hampton Beach. The places are more apartment style, and come with basic kitchen appliances and utensils. A much nicer option than a lot of the places on the beach. The owner runs the front desk, and is very friendly. He secured parking for us when we arrived, and has a great knowledge of the restaurants in the area.

All our bedroom furniture had to be removed and they put a really noisy dehumidifier for three days in the bedroom. I couldn't sleep with that dehumidifier on (I'm assuming most people can't), so I had to sleep elsewhere for a few days. No apology from the management on the incident. Some neighbors were very obnoxious. I would hold the main entrance door for the person behind me to come in, and she wouldn't even acknowledge me as if I was a doorman. This happens a few times - I'm pretty sure it was the same person. There would also be some neighbors who are drunk late at night and be loud at the parking lot.

I can only say there is no comparison between the two. Marina Bay is of course a prime location. The scenery, the amenities, the restaurants are all a huge plus. Very clean area, not noisy at all. Very safe, and well lit parking lot as well. I felt totally fine going for a jog at dusk in the neighboring housing area. They also allow pets, which is pretty cool. They have an outdoor pool and lounge area as well. Really nice once the sun went down. Why not during mid-day, you ask? See next paragraph. Minuses: The pool area. PACKED with kids, all through the summer. Hardly ever enough lounge chairs. Many times you had to take two table chairs and prop your feet up until you could swipe the one or two loungers when someone left the area. But, back to the kids. I don't mind well-behaved kids, but I do mind noisy kids splashing me while I suntan and yelling 'DAD, WATCH! WATCH! WATCH!' about three thousand times a minute while I frustratingly try to read a new book I had just picked up. I guess it just comes down to the fact that the place has alot of young families living there. Oh well. You do have a balcony back at your apartment, so maybe you can catch a few rays there instead. The only other minus is the landlord/management. Seems like they're not on their game. They changed landlords 3 times in the 3 years we lived there, and it seemed that there was confusion over many issues. Once when we moved away for a summer, we were told our apartment looked great and we would be receiving our complete security deposit back. Apparently they changed their minds, because we received about 1/4 back instead, with a bunch of cleaning costs written in. It's not a bad place to live, but I would definitely suggest shopping around to check out the other complexes in the area to compare and contrast before deciding.

When we thought we were giving proper notice he told us we were on the hook for a year. As newlyweds we could not afford this. He told us the only alternative was until he found a new tenant. He then increases the rent to make the place less desirable and put little effort into finding tenants. We actually took it upon ourselves to advertise and show people the place. Another important note is my wife had a window fall on her hands causing her to go to the ER and they knew of this window problems! There are good and ethical people in the world and he is not one of them. Sad to see he is still doing business.

ZERO STARS. I wish I read these Yelp posts before dealing with this management company. They are…read morespot on. I also put a deposit check for them to hold an apartment and run a background check. After a week, I tried calling, emailing, even sent an email to the "owners" email on the site...nothing. After 10 days, I put a STOP PAYMENT on my check. When I notified them of this, they said they rented it to another applicant. Why even take a deposit? I have a great credit score, excellent references, high salary, single tentant with no kids or pets. The whole process was just so shady & the lack of response is flat out ridiculous. They said that they would keep me in mind for 10/1 apartments - but, after having dealt with such a poor experience, I couldn't imagine renting from them. I have since asked them to remove me from any future rental opportunities. My advice, stay away.
