If you are looking for a hassle-free window washing experience, keeping looking! What a hassle I have had with this company ... I had to have my window company come back out after my window cleaning. Being that I walked the property and explained the new windows and the process on how to wash them, you would think it would be a no brainer. However, it wasn't. My screens were pushed on so hard during the cleaning that they came out of the frame - it was bad! When I confronted the owner/worker, she denied the issue. What a mess! Had my windows not been under warranty the company would have been in some trouble. I would not in good conscience recommend this company. Contacted the owner and left a VM, was contacted back very promptly. Discussed the scope of my job, removal of sun shades and relayed how many windows and shades needed attention. Owner within a matter of an hour sent estimate for removal of sun shades, cleaning them along with inside and outside of windows. We agreed upon the estimate and time. Amy we and her son Manny arrived on time and proceeded to do an outstanding and immaculate job. Nice to work with individuals that take pride in what they do. I have used this company many times and each time they were on time efficient with their time did an excellent job screens are cleaned as well. I suggest you ask them to wipe off the window sills and tracks - they sometimes forget those. I have never had any problem with them. I love clean windows. I ordered the window cleaning through an Amazon Local deal on 9/5/2013. It included the cleaning of up to 40 window panes. If I had read these Yelp reviews before I ordered the service, I likely would have passed and had someone else do my windows or do them myself. My experience started in a similar fashion to that of some of the other reviewers. The first appointment available in my area wasn't until 12/11/2013, 3 months after purchasing the deal. Having owned my home for over 4 years and having never had my windows cleaned, a few months wasn't going to change anything for me so I agreed. In all fairness, they did just run an Amazon Local special and I waited a few days to call, so they probably booked up quickly. I received a call from Amy 5 or 6 days before the scheduled appointment to let me know they will need to come out to my house a little later in the morning due to the temperature outside (dew/moisture). She also offered to have the service done that Saturday instead (perhaps had a cancelation), if the that worked better for me, which I accepted. I appreciated the call and option to have the cleaning done over the weekend. James and his two crew men arrived right about the scheduled time, greeted me in a professional manner, explained the options available regarding my sunscreens and given the ok, got right to work. Two guys worked on the windows and screens outside and James worked inside. James was careful with his equipment, laid down large towels upon which his equipment sat and took care to drape a towel on each window sill while cleaning the windows. While the cleaning of bug screens were included in the price, I opted to have my sun screens not only cleaned but conditioned with a silicon treatment for an additional $3 each. The only bad news I received during this service is that there is a difference between a window and a window pane. When I counted, I came up with less than 30 individual windows, but some windows have multiple panes which are counted separately. As a result, I had 48 panes and had to pay for the extra 8 panes. The treatment for the sunscreens is the same, $3 for each individual screen, not each window. Be sure that you count the panes/individual screens, not just windows, when getting an estimate Having said that, I was very impressed with the cleaning my windows received. They sparkle more than when I bought the home brand new! The care James and his crew showed on my home was the same someone would only show on their own home. Each window is streak free and the silicon treatment on the sun screens makes them look phenomenal! I didn't think I would be able to get excited about clean windows but I find myself checking them out as I walk through each room. I can't say why others had issues with Cactus Window Cleaning, but whatever issues they had in the past was not apparent with their service to me. . James also took the time to walk me through the outside of my home after they finished to assure I was satisfied with the work they did. I was! They were at my home for close to two hours and it showed. I was impressed enough to give a tip! I even received a follow up call from Amy later the same afternoon wanting to know if I was happy with their service It certainly wasn't inexpensive to have my windows cleaned, but it definitely makes a tremendous difference and I sure as heck wouldn't want to spend 6 or more hours cleaning them with lesser results. I may opt to alternate between just outside windows then all windows in order to keep it more budget friendly but do plan on using Cactus again in the future. read more

What a debacle! Stay away from this company...Poor cleaning/streaking and they didn't provide refund, as promised! I scheduled for window cleaning 2 months in advance for cleaning in December 2012. On the day of cleaning, they didn't show up after hours of waiting, and we tried to get a hold of them to no avail. They called back days later and indicated that we were not on their reservation system, even though we made it 2 months ago! (Apparently their reservation system as updated and lost some appointments...Anyone heard of backup or double checking???). Amy and the owner promised to make it right by coming to clean the windows and return all the money that I paid for GroupOn deal. They finally came to clean windows in March 2013 and left a whole bunch on streaks on window and mirrors, so I had to double check their work and ask them to clean several windows again. I also found addl. streaks later and had to finish the cleaning myself!!! Amy later indicated that she'd only refund me 50% of GroupOn since that's what they get paid from company. I've waited over a month and still no check in the mail! I've called and left a message asking where the check is and no one has called back... I tried to give them a 2nd and 3rd chances to make it right and they didn't, so this poor review is justified. Use them at your own risk and peril... read more

We love Cactus Window Cleaning! We have a tough house for window cleaners, including upstairs windows that are hard to reach and 39 solar panels that are very high on our tile roof. Cactus does a great job every time! They are friendly, efficient, and go over and beyond what is required for the job. I purchase a groupon for $119 for 4 hours of window cleaning. I called to schedule on 10/13. The girl that answered asked when I wanted the job done. I said as long as it was before thanksgiving I was good. That was 40 days from now. She said she didn't think she could get me in by then and asked when my groupon expired. Expiration is 12/19. She said she could get me in 2 days before the expiration, if I wanted to use my groupon. She said as an alternative she could get me in at regular price less 10% if I didn't want the promo rate on my groupon. She said she would even apply the $119 I paid for the groupon to the regular price she wanted to charge. Wow, what a scam. I said maybe I should call groupon and tell them about this. She said groupon is real good about giving refunds and maybe I should do that. I have never seen a company put out and offer and so blatantly not honor it. This company has zero integrity and does not deserve your business. I am a HUGE supporter of small business, as a small business owner myself and it was not an easy decision to write this negative review but what right is right and this whole interaction with this company was wrong. Reviewing a small business and having the pleasure of giving 5 stars is such a great feeling - I love family own/run businesses and am so pleased that this particular company really lived up to my expectations! James and his crew arrived while I was away and wasted no time getting started - as we arranged previously, they took off all the screens and cleaned them and cleaned all of the exterior before I even arrived home. I was able to observe them working on the interior and wow - they pay lots of attention to detail - they bring all of their own supplies/ladders/etc, and they even cover their feet with little booties to make sure they don't track anything in to your home. We had a 3 man crew for our 4 bedroom home and they were able to get my windows and screens sparkling clean in about 1 hour and 15 minutes - and they look GREAT! They vacuum and dust out the tracks as well and it just gives everything that polished look. This is a great company and the owner clearly takes great pride in his work. The office manager was a doll to work with and was very flexible, working around my schedule constraints. Best of all - the value of the work done was tremendous. I received quotes from several other companies and Cactus charged considerably less - and in this case, you get way more than what you paid for! read more

Horrible horrible experience!! Stay away from this company. Probably the worst experience I have ever received from a contractor. Bought a groupon and they didn't want to honor it unless I promised to use them again. They made me wait over two months for the appointment. Did not tell me about a trip charge. Day before appointment they again wanted to cancel unless I promised to use them again. Then they told me they would charge me a $35 trip charge. I said I would pay the trip charge but wasn't happy about it. They told me they would be at my house between 630 and 730 but never showed. I took time off of work and moved everything away from my windows. When I finally got a hold of them at 1030 they had no explanation and did not apologize. read more

I had this company out for the first time today and was beyond impressed! I've never done a Yelp review but just had to this time. I'm shocked to see poor reviews from other because the men were SO polite, professional and friendly. I really enjoyed talking to Apollo while he did the inside of the house - they are the kind of service company that you have no hesitations about letting in your house. I appreciated that Amy called me ahead of my first appointment to give me the heads-up that it was going to rain the week after my scheduled appointment and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I did and she called me the day before to remind me. When the guys arrived, they were dressed in company shirts, wore booties to protect our floors and they did a great job for less than other companies I've used. First the plus side: They did honor the Groupon past the exp. date; James, the owner, did show up at the job and did keep on top of his guys; they did show up on the day scheduled but did change the start time (not a big problem); and 5 guys showed instead of 4 guys. Now the negative: I purchased and used a Groupon for 4 hours of cleaning, but they stayed maybe 1 1/2 hours (but there were 5 guys, not 4). I was told a house of my size would require the 4 hour Groupon, but now I know that I could have purchased the 2 hour Groupon for less $ because they only stayed about 1 1/2 hours. They did not clean tracks or screens, as they profess to do on the web-site. When I hire out my windows to be cleaned, I do not like to examine every window. The cleaner should make sure the job is done right. I would not bring them back, because the cleaners were sloppy. They were in a gigantic hurry. Getting done in record time seemed to be their goal. My guess is the employees are paid by the hour, not the job, so the boss is in a hurry to get them done quickly. read more

I purchased a Groupon for this company. From the moment I called in to schedule, I was impressed. They were booked a week past the expiration date on the Groupon, but Amy assured me that would be no problem and the Groupon would be honored. She called the day before the appointment and gave me a window of time (bad pun; window!!) and said that sometimes they get done with jobs earlier, so try to be home earlier. Indeed they did arrive a bit early. James shook hands with me, introduced himself and he and his colleague got to work. James put booties on to avoid messing my floors. They painstakingly scoured the windows, inside and out, taking care to make sure they were sparking. James' demeanor was pleasant and I truly enjoyed briefly chatting with him. I will definitely use Cactus again, at full price and as a Realtor, I will add this company to my referral list --- I don't do that easily! Kudos to Cactus! read more
