Very simple classic poutine: fries, curds, gravy. It was excellent. The fries are thin and crispy. I prefer this over thicker cut fries. Gravy and curds were good. They didn't put so much gravy that everything got soggy. I thought it was a very very solid poutine. 5/5. The Beignet were also very good. A maple sauce of some sort I believe. Presented nicely. 4/5. Service was good. Atmosphere was really nice. Prices were reasonable. Definitely could see myself being a regular if I lived here.

When we ordered a diet Pepsi instead of getting a fountain drink we got it in a can (both options were in the menu, fountain was cheaper), why not ask us if not sure what we want? It is a proper locals pub (complete with bar regulars) that oozes character. The sadly rarely open upstairs is a beautiful intimate lounge that has a piano and bay windows while the most often open downstairs is a standard pub but with walls that are covered in old beer cans and bottles as well as old serving trays. If you ever needed to know every advertising slogan from the long gone Dow Brewery, just go to the lion and look at the walls. The patio is also great, right in the centre of Lennoxville, which is a great place to people (and truck) watch. The beer is the real selling point and their major selling point. They have a great variety of brews made next door and the prices are very good. My personal favourite is the Bitter, but that is not for everyone as it will punch you in the face with hoppiness. The most popular is the Pride, an English style Brown ale that ranks with the best Brown's I have had anywhere. The Amber is quite popular as well, but It's not as good as I remember it from my college days, maybe back then I just hadn't tried enough new beers. They also do a good pale ale, that goes down well on a hot day on the patio but I usually prefer the darker beers. They also have seasonal beers as well that are good, including a popular blueberry beer in the summer.

First they put a layer of curds on the bottom of the bowl (no where else did this from chain places to supposed old school restaurants) then the fresh hot fries then more curds (A LOT) on that then the gravy. The cheese curds squeaked when you ate them. It's set up like a Subway sandwich place, cafeteria tray style so nothing special inside but who cares with poutine this good? They people inside mostly spoke French but also could switch to English and were friendly. They had lots of tables and booths inside and at least 8 tables with umbrellas outside. This is just off the main route heading back to US border for us going home to CT. Will absolutely be our last Canadian stop now before crossing the border. They also have a cheese and gourmet shop attached and they were selling fresh corn in a kiosk in the parking lot (which you can't take back across unfortunately because it looked great). And everyone purchased these cream filled smallish donuts so we probably missed a trick but we were so over full of sweets and pastries from our Montréal/Quebec vacation we just couldn't get any.
