What a fun place to come explore and learn. I love museums and this one was fantastic. Love how interactive this place is. They had such a cool gift shop with a bunch of neat merchandise. I lived being able to go into the Fab Lab and explore all their tech including the Printing Press. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Definitely come check it out if you're looking for something to do.

What to do on a rainy afternoon in Gainesville? Visit the Case Museum that's what. The museum is geared towards children, with multiple interactive stations where they can be creative but adults can learn something here as well. I really enjoyed the exhibit on Dr Cade, the museum's namesake and and inventor of Gatorade. The outside property is nice with a bridge and paved walkway, although our walk got cut short by the lightning detector On-site parking is free and admission for adults is $15 There is also a small gift shop. You can even learn something in the restrooms.

Plenty of non functioning exhibits and "don't touch" items. Not fun for me or the kids. Clean, impressive building. If worship of Gatorade thrills you, this might be your thing.

Tie dye for the adults too!!

We had so much fun at the Cade museum! My nieces are super into technology and tinkering, and this was just the place for them! My parents really enjoyed it too--fun for all ages! There are lots of interactive things to do. When we went, they had a gentleman (who was so informative and sweet) teach us how to spin yarn and how to tie dye with sharpie. In the Fab Lab, they had screen printing, block printing, circuit making, and a harmonograph. Lots to do and take home whatever you make! Upstairs was my favorite--Edison's Pile of Junk! They give kids a task card (my niece's was "make a bed for a possum"), then a brown paper bag filled with "junk" (cupcake liners, Pom poms, cardboard pieces, etc). You need to make whatever the task card says with whatever they give you! As a teacher, I truly appreciated the creative outlet this place gives children and adults! We will be back!

Enjoyed a remarkable event today. I enjoyed seeing some of the exhibits and cool knowledge all over the Museum! #1 Fun Fact I learned, Gatorade was founded in Gainesville, Florida by Dr. Cade!! This news knocked us off our feet! In this remarkable museum they're is a fun science lab, a Da Vinci Gallery and a Tom Petty Musician Exhibit and so much more!! This jaw dropping place is located near Depot Park in Gainesville, Florida. Check out their page for pictures, location and hours of operation. See you next time!

This was ok, we were there on Veterans Day so it was HEAVILY discounted & I would have been pist if I paid full price for this place. It's just that I expected more, maybe more exhibits. The main one advertised was "food revolution" & it was really not anything surprising or new, but would be educational for small children. Many hands on exhibits hosted by college students. Again, nothing surprising but fun. My older kids enjoyed the working printing press. They also had an exhibit called Cuban ingenuity which was really interesting, showing how Cubans had to jimmy rig sooo many things in their daily lives w the limited amount of goods they have available. Stuff we take for granted of course. (Blenders, washing machines, bicycles, refrigerators, toys). If u come here w children make time for the park next door. That's a great park.

The museum is not big. The museum is very interactive. Where children can learn many things. They also hold workshops

The lab where Dr. Robert Cade invented Gatorade.

Didn't take many photos because I was involved in the moment with my wife and friends and amazed at all the nice art work they have. We stopped and asked the security officer a few questions. One was how long do these art pieces stay out for viewing and also do they transfer them to other museums around the country. He said they rotate out art work about every few years so it keeps things fresh and no they don't transfer pieces. All pieces stay in house. If you are ever in the area you must stop by the Harn Museum of Art! Also next the year Florida Museum of Natural History will reopen after a full renovation and you also must see that!!! Perfect for a solo night, a date, or something different to do after work. I also love the outdoor garden area; it adds to the peaceful vibe and makes the whole experience feel refreshing. The vendor I bought from told me that it was free that day to go into the museum and Gardens so my family and I decided to look at the beautiful garden to welcome spring. Sadly, we didn't have time to explore the inside of the museum, but that will be for next time. The garden is absolutely stunning and breathtaking with a plethora of colors and the river in the back it's just so pretty. I loved how you could just walk around and see the different parts of the garden and then stand by the river as well. They had super unique flowers. I especially loved the ones that looked like little red lanterns and I loved all the beautiful trees. I was so happy to come here and I loved that they had a little plant market that drew you in to come and actually check out the garden. I can't wait to go back and explore the museum and make a whole day out of it. You definitely need to add this to your list if you haven't gone yet.

Mrs. Patricia Crass was my tour guide and she was just the absolute best. So knowledgeable about the small and interesting town of Micanopy. The museum itself has been open over 20 years. It is located in the restored Thrasher Warehouse from around 1915. All of the artifacts are from Micanopy. They have an array of items that represent many facets of Micanopy: information about Naval Stores and turpentine, a 1930s Icebox, Railroad information, agriculture and farming, schools, war. I found the exhibits about the Seminoles, Chief Micanopy, and the early historical periods the most fascinating. You could spend anywhere from 30min -2 hours depending on if you choose to allow the nice tour guides to lead you. It's easy to navigate and small. Because they want to maintain the integrity of the original building, there is no air conditioning so it can be quite hot. Some of the museum is hands on, so I think it's child friendly. Great place to visit if you're into Florida history!
