I am truly thankful to work at Cadence Academy Preschool as the before and aftercare teacher. Carrie, Rebecca, and Amanda are amazing directors that are available to answer questions and step into a classroom to help out where they can. I am the lead teacher for the clubhouse, and I provide a fun, engaging, educational environment for my school agers to learn and grow. I enjoy having a child-centered classroom, where the children are able to choose the activities they want to engage in. I provide the students with activities including air dry clay, perler beads, rubber bands, and playing the Wii on days off. After school the students work on homework and reading. If I am not available to help them, Alex does an awesome job working with the students to help them finish their homework. During days off, I work on planning engaging short lessons that focus on Kindness. The month of November we are taking part of the You Matter Marathon. We provide a educational spring break and summer camp and travel around to different areas of St. Louis for field trips. As the before and aftercare teacher I have been fortunate to meet all the wonderful families and children of the Cadence Academy preschool family and love getting know new children as they come in. I have the opportunity to be at both buildings to help out where I can. read more

Overrated and over priced. This school has made a turn for the worse. The current director only cares about her image. She does not do anything to help out the staff or the children. She has left a single teacher with 17 four year olds when the ratio is 1:10 (Missouri law) for hours... WHILE THE DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR DID NOTHING. Both were fully aware of the situation and they both were able to stop what they were doing to help. The place is a revolving door or teachers. Please don't take your children here. Keep them happy and safe. read more

Just wanted to thank all the teachers and staff for caring so much for our son for the first 6 years of his life. During this Covid times we are living in, his teachers still managed to focus on fun learning. He can now read and spell short words and do simple math. As Michigan transplants who didn't know many people to rely on for child care references, we were pretty nervous selecting a place for our newborn to attend. We originally chose WCDS for its proximity and convenience to our new home. We have stayed because it has proven to be such a wonderful environment with such caring providers for our baby boy. We love the thorough daily reports and pictures. The communication is constant and that is a great plus! There are so many extra events and opportunities to engage with our child's class. The greatest indicator is that my baby is all smiles when I drop him off and when I pick him up. I'm confident that though he can't tell me what his day was like, I can get a clear sense of it and tell that he feels secure and happy which is a great relief. I highly recommend WCDS! read more

This preschool has it all; cleanliness, curriculum that is actually taught, daily communication, and best of all kind and caring teachers! My kids have been going here since they were babies (now in preschool and the before and after care program). Carrie, Amanda, and Rebecca are beyond accommodating and so easy to talk to. Our kids have loved every teacher they have had and I'm amazed at how prepared my oldest was for elementary school. Not to mention they opened a brand new program to help e-learners so my son was able to continue to get the support he needed since we were unable to stay home with him for the distance learning. I am beyond pleased with our decision to send our son to Cadence Academy. As difficult as it is to leave your baby, Carrie, Amanda, Ms. Julie and Ms. Caitlin ALL made the transition so much easier on this mommy. I have felt so supported and my son is in such great hands. The app they use helps get me through my work day with updates on feedings, diapers, naps and adorable photos/videos of activity, learning and play! Our son is such a happy and content baby when he comes home and we already view the team at Cadence as part of our family. Highly recommend. read more

There are so many wonderful things about Cadence Academy Preschool, that I'm not sure where to start. The staff and teachers are exceptional; the building and rooms are clean. I'm grateful that we have a place to take our son where we know he's well taken care of and loved (always extra snuggles). I absolutely enjoy working with this preschool, the atmosphere is always upbeat and welcoming. Positively love working here, everyone is so friendly, the families and children are all so enjoyable. It's a great place to bring you little ones and to also work. There is a lot of support from the director Carrie who is always jumping in and always giving a 100% to everything. They are always looking for new and exciting way to teach the curriculum, it's really a great experience working here. Overrated and Over Priced!!! My son was not 2 years old yet and he had a horrific experience at WCDS. I still cannot understand how my son tooth was knocked out and left dangling in his bottom lip if he was being watched and cared for by the teacher(s). It was one of the most difficult things I had to endure...seeing my young son bloody shirt and swollen mouth. After seeing this I had to take him to a pediatric dentist (same day) and they had to extract his tooth. I felt so bad and wished I could relieve him from the pain he had endured. I could not stop the thoughts in my head, paying over $300 a week thinking my son was being cared for and his tooth was knocked out. The kicker was he was not in the class in which "the cameras" are recording everything, it supposedly happened at the front desk. I never saw any video of what actually happened. My daughter started attending WCDS when she was 9 months. The teachers and directors are great. I have never felt anything but happy and comfortable taking her here. The ratio of teachers to students is great, she gets the attention she deserves and so do the other kids in her class. They are great at keeping you informed of what your child does on a daily basis. This place is very decently priced also bc when I was looking around at places it is comparable to most other daycares but it is a school. My daughter loves going here and that is what matters to me. read more

I would stay away from this school. The teachers are nice I'll give them that, but the director Carrie leaves much to be desired. When I initially started here I saw a couple google reviews naming Carrie specifically as a problem, but chose to ignore it as she seemed nice when we met. The school is severely over priced for what you're getting yet they will hound the parents to chip in money for various things for the teachers, which is fine but when you're paying so much money already it's odd that they have to keep asking for more money to be chipped in. Many positive reviews are from parents being asked by the school to write reviews. I know this because our first week at the school there was an incentive for those who would write a review of the school online to be entered into a raffle to win prizes, so it's a little hard to trust the positive reviews. The director Carrie runs things on her emotions instead of logic, she is very difficult to deal with- if you or anyone associated with you upsets her or offends her in any way she will take it out on your innocent kids instead of reacting with logic and reason or even discussing things like an adult. She will give you attitude but if you return attitude her panties get twisted real quick. She has no business running a school that is charging these prices if she's going to be a head-case about every issue that arises. She should crawl back to whatever sub-par kinder care she came from. There are many better schools with logical level headed directors to choose from. read more

I am so happy to have ms Stella as my daughter's teacher this year. She didn't know any English when she came to you guys in Jan of 2017, and when I look at where she is today academically, I am speechless. I have two boys who are in high school right now, and I remember that what she is doing right now in ms Stella's room they were doing in Kindergarten. She is 4 years and 2 months old right now and she knows and can write spontaneously all upper case and all lower case letters. In addition, she can write her first and last name. She understands the concepts of addition and subtraction. She comes home to tell me things about different countries. Its just unbelievable to me that she was able to teach these things to her at this age. I feel very lucky that I brought her here. I know how important the early foundation is for future development, based on my previous experience with my sons. Thank you very much!!!! She is a teacher from the God! read more
