I love that they use the Brightwheel app, and they thoroughly document everything from naptime to what they ate to any incidents they might have (fall, head bonk, etc). Very responsive to messages on brightwheel. I also get THE CUTEST PHOTOS EVER, I literally look forward to them every day. They are always doing fun and educational activities, and I love to get artwork tucked into her backpack nearly weekly. It is such a relief to know my girl is in such good hands every day while I'm at work.

We kept her home for a week, and her first day back she was bit by another classmate. Please read my full review. My daughter had been at Providence since she was 6 months old. It was the hardest decision I have ever made to decide who to trust my first born child to care for. In infant care, there was stability and regular teachers there, and it was great. When our daughter became a toddler (she is 2 now) there was a lot of instability in the teachers in the class and level of care. Our daughter was bit repeatedly. On one occassion, it drew blood and she had a scar. We also tried to give a margin of grace as things do happen and we were never irate or punishing, we just sought to come to a solution. Recently, an older kid dropped a piece of PVC pipe down the slide resulting in an open head wound on my 2-year-old. The staff did not transport her to the hospital despite acknowledging that "she probably needed stitches." Her father and I immediately take to the ER where she gets two staples in her head and we monitor her for signs of concussion. This happened on a Friday and the director and school officials never emailed, called, or checked on her. I had to seek out the daycare director, Lisa, on Monday to ask her what happened and what they were doing about it. A conversation I shouldn't have had to prompt in my opinion. At the time, I calmly talked to Lisa and she seemed apologetic and receptive of feedback, which made me feel like it was an honest mistake. We keep her home for a week until her staples were removed. Her first day back was today, and she got bit by another classmate. I go into the daycare admittedly livid, but this time the director just spouts off statistics says "these things happen" and she hasn't had a hospitalization incident in x amount of years and her record speaks for itself. She just told me how Providence is a top notch facility and everything else. She was very condescending. It became clear to me that they see kids here as statistics. I don't care if this was the first time a hospitalization incident has happened, as a parent, whose kid was hurt stats are not comforting. I removed her from Providence, and I won't be bringing her back. I care about protecting my kiddo and other parents being able to protect their kiddos, so I wanted to share my story.

She is thriving and happy and already making new friends. The classrooms are set up with the child in mind. The bathrooms and sinks and coat hooks are all their height. The teachers (and support staff) in the infant room were incredibly nurturing and attentive. They took the time to really get to know our child's personality and needs, and they communicated with us every step of the way. It was clear from the beginning that this was a true partnership in our child's development, which is invaluable as a first time parent. The level of engagement from the staff has consistently exceeded our expectations. The teachers (and support staff) are not only warm and caring, but they also create a fun, stimulating environment that encourages exploration and growth. We've loved seeing the developmental milestones our child has reached, and we know so much of that progress is thanks to the intentional learning experiences and individual attention provided at Primrose. What stands out the most is how happy our child is when we bring her to school and the immediate engagement with the teachers. She always smiles at drop-off when we hand her to one of her teachers and they are engaged in the conversation about when our child ate last, how she slept the night before, and how her attitude was that morning before coming to school so they know how to best care for her that day. Starting each day off like this is priceless for a parent. Knowing your child is safe, happy and learning is exactly what I would expect from a place like Primrose, and they deliver. My 4 yr old son has the privilege of attending this private "accredited" yes "accredited" preschool and it is phenomenal. He has been to some daycares in the past that swear that their focus is education & challenging the minds of the little ones but trust me, after paying close attention, they were not. I researched and found Primrose before it was even built months ago & decided that this was the place my son had to be no matter how many hours I needed to work--he needed to have the best education. Primrose teachers are degree level teachers who have the know how and ability to work with the kids according to their age group. The kids have a schedule so they aren't being babysat--they're actually learning. I can't tell you how much my son has made a dramatic shift in his behavior and attitude since starting here & it hasn't even been a month. So if you're child is acting out at his/her current school, investigate what's going on--he/she may just be bored from the lack of activity. To top it all off, the owner Anne Almond rocks! Her smile and personality is contagious and the director Laura Paine is irreplaceable in the quality of professionalism and friendliness she displays to each family. Lastly, I'm a foodie so you know I love the fact that they have a Personal Chef who really prepares healthy meals for the children. My son and daughter always come home telling me about the healthy snacks they've had at Primrose. Parents, I know this was long but if you really truly care about your child's education this is the place you'll want them to be. If you have school-aged children, that's no problem. My daughter is 5 and they pick her up on the bus (that has seatbelts...what?!) everyday from school to attend Primrose for Aftercare! I kid you not--we're a military family but now that I've found Primrose and the wonderful staff at East Louisville's location--I really don't want to leave, even with me knowing they have 20 or more locations in other states.
