The teachers (and support staff) in the infant room were incredibly nurturing and attentive. They took the time to really get to know our child's personality and needs, and they communicated with us every step of the way. It was clear from the beginning that this was a true partnership in our child's development, which is invaluable as a first time parent. The level of engagement from the staff has consistently exceeded our expectations. The teachers (and support staff) are not only warm and caring, but they also create a fun, stimulating environment that encourages exploration and growth. We've loved seeing the developmental milestones our child has reached, and we know so much of that progress is thanks to the intentional learning experiences and individual attention provided at Primrose. What stands out the most is how happy our child is when we bring her to school and the immediate engagement with the teachers. She always smiles at drop-off when we hand her to one of her teachers and they are engaged in the conversation about when our child ate last, how she slept the night before, and how her attitude was that morning before coming to school so they know how to best care for her that day. Starting each day off like this is priceless for a parent. Knowing your child is safe, happy and learning is exactly what I would expect from a place like Primrose, and they deliver. We are incredibly grateful for the role Primrose has played so far in the growth and development of our child and cannot recommend Primrose School of East Louisville enough!

If you're a parent who wants the best education for your child(ren)--this is a must read & you…read moreshould look no further! My 4 yr old son has the privilege of attending this private "accredited" yes "accredited" preschool and it is phenomenal. He has been to some daycares in the past that swear that their focus is education & challenging the minds of the little ones but trust me, after paying close attention, they were not. I researched and found Primrose before it was even built months ago & decided that this was the place my son had to be no matter how many hours I needed to work--he needed to have the best education. Primrose teachers are degree level teachers who have the know how and ability to work with the kids according to their age group. The kids have a schedule so they aren't being babysat--they're actually learning. I can't tell you how much my son has made a dramatic shift in his behavior and attitude since starting here & it hasn't even been a month. So if you're child is acting out at his/her current school, investigate what's going on--he/she may just be bored from the lack of activity. To top it all off, the owner Anne Almond rocks! Her smile and personality is contagious and the director Laura Paine is irreplaceable in the quality of professionalism and friendliness she displays to each family. Lastly, I'm a foodie so you know I love the fact that they have a Personal Chef who really prepares healthy meals for the children. My son and daughter always come home telling me about the healthy snacks they've had at Primrose. Parents, I know this was long but if you really truly care about your child's education this is the place you'll want them to be. If you have school-aged children, that's no problem. My daughter is 5 and they pick her up on the bus (that has seatbelts...what?!) everyday from school to attend Primrose for Aftercare! I kid you not--we're a military family but now that I've found Primrose and the wonderful staff at East Louisville's location--I really don't want to leave, even with me knowing they have 20 or more locations in other states. Please, check them out! You'll be glad that you did or questioning why you hadn't!

She made the transition to public school first grade with no issues. Our second child was able to attend for 3 years, ages 3-5. We had an incredible experience here and recommend the school to everyone we can. I have had a child enrolled at other area preschools (both Montessori and non-Montessori) and the quality of instruction, the wonderful true Montessori materials and classroom, and the respectful and joyful classroom environment make this school stand out from all the rest. The school is safe and clean. The teachers are trustworthy and get to know each child. The teachers are properly trained and dedicated to the Montessori method. There is so much consistency, calm, leading by example, respect, kindness, and fun because of the wonderful teachers. The classroom is clean and safe. The children are so happy at school and it was a privilege to get to observe the class deeply engaged in their work. The teachers also ensure daily outside play and healthy snacks. The children have close to a full hour of time where they prepare their eating area, and enjoy talking and eating without being rushed. They also clean up and put away their lunch time. Our 3 year old learned many "grace and courtesy" concepts at school that carried over to home life (walking quietly, carrying his plate, cleaning his area, saying a blessing/thanks). The communication between the teachers and parents is phenomenal. There is a great mix of incorporating art, music, outdoor exploration. There are usually a few special visitors (past examples include: firemen and fire truck visited the school, wildlife/biology professor visit, parents bringing farm animals for the children to interact with) and a group field trip. The children are all friends and there is a fair amount of diversity in the school population as well. I strongly encourage you to visit the school and speak with the director to answer any further questions you may have. This school is a community asset and we are so thankful our children were able to attend this school. This is the best Montessori school option in the area by far.

The teachers are amazing and instantly made my boy comfortable. It was his first time being out of the home on his own without family and he had no issues. The school is based in a church but it is not religious based. Religion is not banned like it many schools but it is not their focus. Beautiful environment for learning, great structure and gentle guidance for the young mind. If you are not familiar with the Montessori learning techniques read up on it and you will instantly know that is the place you want you child to be!!! Highly recommend this school!!!!

I was excited to be able to send my daughter there when they had a spot for her in July 2020. When COVID hit they were able to accommodate me and I was so grateful to have a safe place to send my 4 month old. Although I'm sad to miss the experience of "picking her up" inside the school because of COVID they do a good job of giving me updates about her day with a daily schedule. They moved my daughter up to another room after a few months of being there and I can honestly say she is thriving! She comes home happy and tired which is a plus for me. Her motor skills and social interactions have also excelled because she is trying to copy what all the older kids are doing. I really like Discovery and all the wonderful staff there. I'm glad my daughter found a home away from home.

When I went in to check out the facility, everyone was very courteous and attentive, answering all my questions. Their facility was incredibly clean and the rooms are large with several stations for the kids to play in. My twins are 3 years old and they were in Ms. Ashley's class. She was amazing with them. We had just moved in to town and Discovery Preschool was very sensitive to the children's needs since they were in transition. They provided constant care and routine for them when it was really important. They were very supportive and helpful with potty training for my one who was reluctant. My kids learned a lot in their program in the short 4 weeks they were there. The only reason I took them out was that we moved to another part of town so I picked a preschool that was closer to home. I would often sit with my twins as they ate breakfast so I would take my time with them before leaving them there. No one ever had any issues with me spending time with them at the school. If we move back to this part of town, I would love to put my kids back at this preschool. They loved their teachers, their class and their "friends."
