Today, I had the wonderful opportunity to observe circle time in my son's PreK classroom at Cadence Academy (Stonegate), and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Miss Janelle, the teacher, exemplified patience and kindness while imparting a wealth of knowledge to her students. During circle time, the children learned about the days of the week, the months of the year, and the color and shape of the week. Miss Janelle effectively used a talking stick, ensuring that each child was engaged and attentive. I appreciated how she gently corrected any behavior issues and had the children respond with "yes ma'am," fostering respect and discipline. As a high school math teacher, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from circle time, but witnessing it in action was enlightening. Miss Audrey, the director, sends out detailed emails outlining the curriculum, and seeing how Miss Janelle brought that curriculum to life was truly remarkable. The level of difficulty was age-appropriate yet challenging, and the children responded beautifully to Miss Janelle's guidance. One of my favorite moments was during the daily affirmation. The students recited an entire paragraph of positive "I am" statements by heart, including phrases like "I am beautiful, I am smart." It was heartwarming to see them not only memorize these affirmations but also express them through sign language. I found myself nearly in tears--it was such a meaningful and adorable moment. I'm inspired to recite these affirmations with my child on the weekends as well. If anyone has the chance to observe circle time at Cadence Academy, I highly recommend it. This experience was one of the best I've seen in a classroom setting. These young learners are not only absorbing academic content but also developing essential values like positivity, respect, and kindness toward one another. We have been with Cadence Academy for the past month. I am so thankful to have found a school that really cares about the health and wellbeing of the children they care for. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Ms. Audrey gave us a virtual tour before we started, and addressed all of our questions before enrolling. She made the enrollment process very easy. We quickly got to know Ms. Amy, the school director and Ms. Sue, the office manager, as they interact with us and our baby daily. I've been very impressed how easy and organized things are, and I know that's a true testament to the staff! Mrs. Pamela is the star of the show in the infant room! She has been the best communicator, letting us know how our baby is developing, his daily activities, and is the best at sending photos and updates throughout the day. My baby was at daycare for less than 15 minutes on his first day when she sent me a note thanking me for trusting her to care for our son, and included a photo of him. This was a huge relief for me, after having a poor experience at a previous daycare. While I have full camera access, I never feel the need to "check up" on Mrs. Pamela. My son is happy to see her when he gets to school, and she genuinely cares about all the babies she is responsible for. We are so thankful to have found Cadence Academy and would recommend them to everyone we know. read more

My family and I have been with Cadence Academy Stonegate since 2021. Currently I have one child enrolled and she is in the pre-k class with Ms. Amy. I can't say enough good things about Ms. Amy, she goes above and beyond as a teacher for these kids. She makes sure everyone gets to participate in the activities even when mom (me, I'm the mom) or dad may have forgotten to bring necessary supplies for the activity. My daughter comes home in the afternoon talking about things she learned and how she wants Ms. Amy to come over for playdates. Cadence encourages an environment where the kids are accepting of each other and lift each other up. It's really heatwarming to witness. My other daughter is special needs, cerebral palsy, and while in attendance at Cadence my child was accepted just as every other student is. And still when we go to pick up her sister, everyone still gets so excited to see her. Especially the other kids, which I think speaks a lot to the mentality of the establishment. Being enrolled at cadence hasn't been without its hiccups here and there with occasional teacher overturn and other issues that most daycares deal with, but not enough to overshadow the amazing job the teachers and staff do everyday for our kids. One of the best decisions we ever made for our daughter and son was to put them in this preschool. When my daughter was 16 months, I was looking for a preschool where she would be happy and learn and play in a nurturing environment. After looking at many preschools in the area, I finally decided on Phoenix Children's Academy since I liked the facility and location. My daughter had bad separation anxiety, but the teachers were so helpful and caring, she adjusted fast to her new surroundings. She is now 3 years old and loves her school and all teachers from each class she has been to in her age group. Since April I enrolled my 1 year old son as well, and he is in the same class where she started and loves going to school in the morning. What I like is the personal attention my children receive and the wonderful personality of all the teachers and staff; how they know what the children like and dislike, and how they interact with all the children. It's truly a nurturing environment with great teachers. The staff and director are great, and have always been helpful with any arrangements for my kids' attendance. My son is already trying to talk and knows some sign language, and my daughter is well advanced for her age and knows all but how to write. Love PCA! read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SCHOOL, they are like family to us, we literally call one of the instructors "Daycare grandma". My eldest has been attending here since 8mts and she about to be 4yrs old. Anytime we have any type of concern they go above and beyond to accommodate for us. With everything going as great as it's been in 2020 we had to reduce the days our daughters were attending, I was very worried this would negatively affect the rate at wich my younger daughter was learning since she would not be going as often, boy was I wrong. The other night I pkayfully asked her what color the balloon she was holding was and she correctly responded "green". I was shocked because we study at home but we hadn't seriously gotten to green yet. I then went all around the house pointing out different colors and she was naming colors I had no idea she knew. At 23mt old she is able to name her colors, sing her ABC (correctly) and count to 10. My husband and I are sincerely soo grateful to have our children attending such a wonderful school in our community. Please keep up the great work Cadence team, we are eternally grateful. read more

After researching and praying for a safe and loving preschool for my son, Cadence Academy is where we chose and I couldn't be more assured that this is the place for us. My son has an amazing, loving, and experienced teacher, Mrs. Gloria. And, the staff knows everyone by name! I was so surprised at how attentive they are which makes me know that my son is safe! He LOVES it here too and looks forward to going to school every morning. The curriculum is also wonderful as my son has learned math, science, vocabulary, and Spanish. Finding a daycare is not an easy task and can be overwhelming because you want to make sure your little one is going to be cared for. My daughter has been going to this school for almost three years. We looked at other schools in the area and didn't feel any warmth, love, or nurturing and that my daughter was just another number to put more kids in the school. When we visited the Phoenix School we felt welcomed. The Director took a lot of time telling us what was offered at the school. As we toured the school the staff and teacher that we met would stop and not only talk to us but speak to my daughter even though she was an infant. When I first went back to work I could not imagine someone else taking care of my baby. My daughter is almost three now and I know that we found the right place. We love our teachers that have impacted their lives. We love Ms. Martha (previous teacher) and Ms. Gloria (current teacher) for our oldest son. They truly are so caring and kind and have made such an impact on our son. Ms. Madison, Ms. Becky, and Ms. Misty are the infant teachers who cared for our youngest when he started around 4 months. They have all been such a big help. It isn't easy sending kids to daycare but our kids truly love their teachers and love going to school. It's such a joy when our youngest reaches his arms out for his teachers. The directors are so involved and caring, as well as the floater teachers! We've been at Cadence for almost 2 months now, and love it. I've been working from home for last year with the boys, and was a little nervous to put them back at any school. But Ms. Audrey was so patient with me, she answered any and all question I had to assure a smooth transition. My 3 year old gets excited to go to school everyday. He loves his teacher Ms. Merlinda. We can already see him learning and growing. Pick up and drop off are a bit different then what we were used to obviously with Covid restrictions, but seeing the way they handle everything makes us even more confident that we are at the right place. read more

Cadence academy was a lifesaver for us. I am that parent that reads every review, so I waited 2 months before writing a review to truly assess the school. Everything across the board is an A for my husband and I. My son came from a full time home environment where he had a nanny ,but his transition was a lot easier than I thought. Mrs Kiara and Ms Rose are great with him. Kiara was extremely patient with his clingy ways in the beginning as well. The teachers are really engaged and in tune with each child. My daughter has been going here less than a year and I absolutely love it! The teachers are all so kind and accommodating. I love that ms.merlinda always greets us with a warm welcome that helps start my daughters day. Not only are the teachers amazing but the curriculum and activities they have the children do throughout the week really keeps them entertained and helps them learn in a fun way. I also really love that they offer classes here such as gymnastics, ballet, soccer, and karate. Also, love that they have cameras that I can view from anywhere. I highly recommend cadence! read more

My 7 month old is very particular about who she goes to. When I drop her off she doesn't even look back at me. Now I'm not sure if I like that part per say but it tells me that she must really love her teachers. Very clean, organized, and my daughter gets plenty of attention which is something I was worried about since she's used to staying at home with me all day. We started here a couple months ago and we absolutely love it! We've seen a huge improvement in our little one's development and behavior since our change in schools. The staff (teachers and admins) are very understanding to our concerns and are very adaptable to each kid's needs. The Kind Child program is definitely unique and i love what it teaches a child. Our son has been going to Cadence for 6 months now. We couldn't be happier with the facility! He is learning SO much there; we get tons of updates a day with all that they are doing and exploring. I worked here for a year and a half, and I truly loved working with the teachers, they are amazing! Misty Ridgeway, and Becky Riffle were so much fun to work with. They love the children and they make this a positive experience for them. They were some of the best teachers that I learned from! Definitely 5 star daycare!! Since my son has been coming here I can definitely tell he has learned so much from writing his Alphabet to sign language and much more.
