Not the best experience for our family so we switched. Our child was frequently coming home with injuries and when we (parents) would inquire with staff, their response was that they didn't know. Also, our child wouldn't come home with incident reports. The last incident: she came home with a goose egg to the back of her head. I asked Wren first and her response "I don't work in this classroom." Then I asked Daniel and his response "I didn't know she was injured." Ms. Shelby produced an incident report days after the injury stating that our child received first aid following her fall from the table outside. I didn't understand how because the staff were unaware of the injury. Recommendation: better staffing ratios or prevent toddlers from climbing the outside table. read more

My daughter goes to Cadence Academy Sleater-Kinney, and started in the Junior Pre-K room, she is now in the Senior Pre-K room and just loves it! Her teachers in the Senior Pre-K room are Miss Morgan and Miss Nikki and she always tells me about what they do during the day. They remember details about her and provide fun activities and learning opportunities throughout the day. She has really begun to love to tell me about things they learn in Circle Time. She also loves that her school does evening events for things like Halloween, Christmas and other activities where we can all go enjoy her school together. The office staff is communicative and quick to respond, and I appreciate their thoroughness. read more

My daughter absolutely loves going to daycare every morning. Miss Nikki and Miss Morgan are amazing teachers in the Sr. Pre-K room. They are very attentive and caring and offer fun activities throughout the day to keep keeps engaged and learning. My daughter comes home everyday with new things she has learned. Update as of March 2016: I'm afraid this place has gone down hill. All the qualified staff has left. We had to remove our daughter from Miniskool because of bullying and safety issues. If I could give zero I would. So sad we use to love this place. My daughter has been going here for over a year and we both love it. Kind, caring staff and fun activities for the kids! The staff are professional, very friendly and down to earth. They bus her to and from school depending on my needs and work schedule. They can bus everyday if needed! They have a coffee bar for parents in the morning, occasional breakfast and snacks and even take home spaghetti for dinner! We are very happy with Miniskool! We have used several other daycares in the area they are by far the best! read more

I have both my kiddos at Cadence Academy Sleater Kinney and we are really happy with the quality of care. My younger child loves Ms Mads and Ms Kiera so much that the staff will warn me if their out sick so I can prepare her. She asks about her teachers on the days we aren't there. My older kiddo is starting kindergarten in the Fall but she has been flourishing since starting with Ms Mellissa and Ms. Mercedes. She has learned a lot for kindergarten prep and has gotten a lot of help learning how to relate to other kids. I love hearing about what they talk about from her! read more

Our son started Mini school about about a year ago. We've definitely had some issues around t he first of the year but there has been a lot of turnover of staff and they have some great people there now who are implementing some good changes. I've noticed just in the last week since my son has got a new teacher that he's much happier and learning a bunch. Unfortunately we have to leave because they lost their accreditation for GSA. It was definitely hard finding another day care because none of the other facilities compare to this one. It is so warm and inviting, last week when I came to pick up my son it was filled with the smell of fresh blueberry muffins, I was super jealous. I can't say enough good things about Cadence Sleater-Kinney. My son has been attending for about 1.5 years now and has recently transitioned from so the Butterflies room with Miss Lily to the Busy Bees room with Miss Jessica and Miss Lacey. The entire time with Miss Lily was amazing!! Not only does she clearly care for my son by giving me updates on his growth and development, but she always listened to my various updates and concerns. I can't thank her enough for providing me updates through the KidReports app. Getting pictures showing my son having fun playing with his toddler friends is so reassuring and absolutely priceless to me. I also very much appreciate Miss Jessica and Miss Lacey in the Busy Bees room since they also clearly demonstrate how much they care for my heart (my only child). I feel like my son is loved and my feedback is valued, which are of the utmost importance to me. My son loves Mini-Skool, and so do we. As soon as we walked through the door, I fell in love. The decor is very homelike instead of being bright and obnoxious like other childcare centers. Ms. Mugsy and Ms. Joni in the office are always ready to answer my questions and very personable. In the Dragonfly classroom, Ms. Sandie and Ms. Abby are amazing! My son is always coming home and telling me what he did that day, he also likes to go over the kidreport e-mail we get everyday telling us about what they did in class, pictures, as well as what they ate for meals. This is really his home away from home. Despite working in another childcare center, we chose to stay here at Mini-Skool, because they are so loving and caring. read more

I've been working for Cadence Academy for four months now, and I can honestly say this is hands down the best job I've ever had. I wake up excited to go into work every day. All of the kids are amazing, and the staff is supportive, kind, and reliable. The management is phenomenal. Sandee and Mugsy are always quick to respond to any questions or concerns, while always doing everything they possibly can to best care for the children and staff. I am so sad we are moving out of the area because we love this school and the teachers here! They truly care about my kiddos and my 5 year old that will be starting kindergarten in the fall loves coming here and can't wait to start kindergarten because of what she has learned and the experiences she's had here. The teachers in the infant room could not have been better if I hand picked them myself and those ladies care about all those babies in that room.
