I give 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. My 1 yr old grandson went to this preschool for a couple of months at the end of 2023. He had a couple of okay weeks then began throwing his toys at home and becoming more aggressive. When my daughter asked about this she was told they had placed him in the older preschool class because they didn't have a place in his age group class. We had no idea this was being done until my daughter asked if he was showing these behaviors at school. The teacher explained that they would be placing him in the appropriate age group class as soon as a spot was opened. We should have been told this before they accepted him. Around the 3rd week of being there he became sick with a serious upper respiratory infection. He appeared well, when he returned, however, when he was picked up that day, he was feeling much worse. We are disappointed, not only that they didn't call to say he was worse, but they allowed him to be there infecting the other children. After returning to school, within the next few days, he contracted a severe case of "hand, foot, mouth" infection. He had never been sick with even a sniffle prior to attending this preschool! It appears to me the administrators at Cadence Academy Preschool have no regard for the children's health nor concern regarding exposing the healthy children to any virus or infection. This indicates to me that the school is very unclean and they do not care. Lastly, my daughter left her job 3 weeks ago, and took him out of Cadence. She was told they would charge her another 2 weeks, which she agreed to. Her credit card was on file there and watched her card closely. This week is the 3rd week and they charged her again. She asked for a refund and was told in writing they would not reimburse her this third week. As she makes plans on her actions to get this resolved, I decided to write this review to at least warn any parents who check reviews to know of these issues. Cadence Academy in Olive Branch is the only preschool with openings at this time so please do not put your child there simply because they have an opening. It isn't worth it. It says a lot that they are the only preschool with openings to fill without a waiting list. read more

Cadence Academy Olive Branch talks a good game to get parents to enroll their children but talk is all it is. They deliver nothing. Their website says they have camera access. We found out after enrollment there is no camera access. Half the time the security code doesn't work for the entrance door. To make matters worse, my grandchild's teacher was never there in the mornings. The place opened at 7 am so why is she not there at 9 am? I observed children being shuffled off on the few teachers who did manage to show up on time. We took my grandchild out after a week because the place is so unorganized and he was constantly being moved from room to room. Now I know why this place had an opening. All the good daycares were full and had a waiting list. Every child deserves better than this. read more

I can't say a single positive thing about this disgusting daycare. My son was enrolled for 3 months, missed 4 weeks and when I went to withdraw him because of lost wages I was told we only had to pay for that week and the following. Now there is another $200 charge and this pathetic excuse for a director, Chastiney, not only won't return phone calls or emails but is going to keep your card on file even after your child is no longer enrolled. This is the only daycare in the county with availability and I strongly advise you to keep your children safe and away from Cadence Academy. My daughter took my grandson to this day care. My grandson was never sick a day until he went here! He contracted an upper respiratory infection, the flue and hoof and mouth disease over a 2 month period. When my daughter told them she was removing him, they charged her for two weeks plus another $200 recently as well. They have openings for a reason and I question the quality of this day care. I have encouraged my daughter to complain to the BBB and Health Department. All of our kids deserve better!!! read more

We recently moved from out of state and chose FPA to watch after our daughter. She loved her previous daycare - she was loved and cared for like she was their own. She didn't cry and was happy to go to school. When we started my daughter at the end of November she would cry upon drop off. I figured this was a normal situation being we just moved to a new place and they were people she did not know We kept her home in JAN to visit grandparents in town When it was time to send her back I figured it would be a bit rough, she may cry for a few days getting readjusted but that's just the price we would have to pay for pulling her for a month to be able to see her grandparents from out of town. She told me she was scared to go back there that a boy had been hitting her. I did speak with the teacher and chalk it up to they are children and I'm sure they fight over toys - she doesn't come home with marks so it can't be that bad, right? Wrong... The days turned into weeks of her crying at every drop off and the weeks turn into a couple months and something wasn't sitting with me right. When I would drop her off I had to leave her at the front door due to Covid so I could never go into the class. "Ms. Kristen" would receive her at the door and eventually had gotten visibly annoyed with the fact my daughter is still crying every day... even went as far to say "really addelyn why are we crying everyday, let's stop being a cry baby" that did not sit right with me at all - they should be compassionate if we are to trust them with our children they should be able to comfort them and make the drop off transition easy and seamless as possible. So that day I decided I would email them to pay the additional money to have camera access. What I saw on the cameras was gut wrenching and horrific for a mother to have to watch. After the first day of watching I already called another daycare to set up and appt to view the center they did say I'm my daughter would need to be put on a wait list. After the second day of watching I decided to completely pull my daughter from them and not send her back. I was frantic because the next day I was having Oral surgery and was worried I had to figure this all out before I did that... I would need childcare for the following week, so I started calling my family members from out of state - arraigning plans for them to fly in and watch our child while we worked on getting her into our new daycare because of the fear of sending her back to FPA another day. Ms. Petras 3 year old classroom 1) the first day we witnessed our daughter at a table by herself playing with 3 blocks while all other kids were playing at another table with about 50 blocks. A girl came to my daughter and took one of her three blocks and ran back to the other table leaving my daughter with only 2 and she sat there and restacked the same 2 blocks over and over. The same girl came back to grab another from my daughter - my daughter pulled the block back and the girl grabbed it harder and then hit my daughter in the back of my head. Leaving her with one block. *something the teacher should step in and show them that is not right but she was sitting at her desk on her phone not even paying attention or interacting with the children* 2) later in the day the same girl and my daughter were sitting at a table... my daughter got up to grab and book and when she sat down the girl took it from her so then my daughter got up to get another one and she took it from her again once she sat down... this happened about 10 times before the girl left her alone. She got up repeatedly only to have it taken from her each time 3) this is the incident where I said to myself there's no way I could leave her here. This is all I need to see. The same girl that has been picking on her had in the the corner of a book shelf punching her repeatedly in the face pushing her against the wall and my daughter did not fight back once - I wish she would have but when I asked her why she didn't she was scared she would be put on timeout by her teacher. My little girl tried to crawl away and the girl dragged her back by her feet and kept hitting her. Finally after a minute of being beaten up the teacher saw it and stepped in. This is after me complaining to the school that she hadn't been watching them in the classroom. Had I not complained who knows how long it would have went on. This was her already being told to watch them yet these things were still going on. After starting her at a new daycare here in olive branch she has been there for 2 days and has not cried once! Today when taking her back for her second day she said "there it is! It's my new school, I really like this place mama!" And that brought so much comfort and ease to my heart to know she finally is somewhere she is loved and cared for the way she should be. We are blessed to have made this discovery and take some anxiety off my child that we thought was just having a rough transition. read more

My toddler has officially attended Faith for over a year now. She has grown leaps and bounds. We have felt safe, and taken care of the entire time my toddler has been there. And starting in august, our newborn will attend as well. Caring, loving, teachers that truly seem to enjoy what they do. read more

My family and I relocated to Olive Branch, MS and we were very worried about finding a great facility for our children. FPA has been amazing. Our 5 year old is now fully prepared for Kindergarten. He can read and add big numbers, without thinking about it. Their staff is amazing and they truly do go above and beyond. We also have a "school ager" that they transport to and from school every day. She loves it also. I couldn't be more pleased. Also, it is a bonus being able to check on sporadically by having their camera access. We love the entire FPA staff!!! read more

I wish I could give this company zero stars. My husband and I moved here from Memphis. They were the only daycare at the time with an opening. The woman that gave us the tour was very sweet and the facility was nice. We started at the Southaven location. My son was 9 months old at the time. I noticed every time I picked him up he was crying and very upset. We did not have this issue at our previous provider. I decided to show up early and watch through the window as the young girls watching him were joking around as my son was crying in the crib. I have no idea how long they left him in there. He was crying and banging on the crib bars with his little fists. The girls saw me watching and one of them grabbed him real quick as I was walking through the door. Not before I noticed he had dried baby food all over his clothes and a very soiled diaper. We switched to the Olive Branch location. Things were better at first but then he was transferred to another room and things went downhill quickly. I saw a little boy fall and hit his head on the wall and the girl tapped him and said "Your OK!" She was obviously stressed as she proceeded to tell me he was a bad baby because he bit other children and refused naps. There were about 12 toddlers in the room and she was the only person in there. The next day, I called the front desk and complained and they only switched her to another room. Outrageous!! I walked in to see my son again crying in the table where they seat the toddlers, crying with food all over his clothes. The new girls were completely rude. I left shortly after. Only to find out they left a child in a hot van for hours. Do your research!! My little boy has been going to FPA since he was old enough to attend daycare. They have been nothing short of excellence. I never once felt uneasy about him being in their care from the infant room to his new class room. They also have cameras that you can watch to help ease any mamas mind. The directors Cheryl and Mrs. Brooke are very open and easy to approach with any issues. I am very happy and would recommend this daycare to any parent. read more

If I could give 0 stars or negative stars, I would. We were given access to the cameras for our 20 month old's classes (She was shuffled between 3 classes throughout the day) 3 weeks after she started because the cameras had been down. When we got them up, we watched a lot of the day. (We only had them one day because I took her out after witnessing her day.) My daughter was allowed to cry for over 35 minutes at a time at least 2 times in the day and no adult tried to comfort or console her or even talk to her. The teacher was changing diapers constantly and paid the kids absolutely no attention. I was told that they were doing arts and crafts and Bible time, but there was literally no adult interaction. My child then sat off in a corner by herself for 45 minute spans twice that day. My husband watched almost the entire day while he was out of town and the ONLY adult interaction that was given to my daughter was while she was getting her diaper changed. When I spoke to the director, she apologized, but made me aware that with such a large number of kids in there for the one teacher, one on one interaction was basically impossible. I wasn't even asking for one on one interaction. I was asking for my child to be cared for, especially if she is crying. Needless to say, she was there for 8 days (because she got sick after day 3 and was out for 4 days) and that was 8 days that were way too long for my baby. Hopefully we are the only ones traumatized and it will be a soon forgotten experience for my child. When you send your baby to a preschool, especially one professing to be faith-based (and for not cheap at all!), you expect for your child to be taken care of. Mine was not, and I would assume, not many are if they are treated as mine was. The teachers (with the exception of one) all seemed tired of kids all the time. 3 months at Faith OB was 3 months too long!! My daughter is 4 and was in the pre-k class. I am a former preschool teacher and have worked in a handful of schools, as well as had my daughter in daycare since she was small. This was hands down the worst place I've come across. I was looking so forward to the camera access until I actually watched! The children did nothing but run wild all day. The teacher only left her seat when absolutely urgent. There was no hand washing and no assistance during potty breaks. My daughter had an accident at nap-time the first week she was there and had to find her own change of clothes and clean herself up with zero assistance. The schedules they give out are absolute crap and not even remotely followed. And the CURRICULUM IS NON EXISTENT! They were lucky to do circle time 3x A WEEK! In 3 months my daughter brought home 3 papers. They were given yogurt as a snack and no utensils. I watched over the camera as the children licked their plates, and SHARED each other's milk cups. Mind you, this is all during the start of the COVID pandemic. I had 2 meetings with the director within the first 2 weeks, and was assured things would change, only to find out by week 3 the director no longer worked there. The assistant director told me flat out that her teachers were untrained and unqualified and that she was trying to get someone to come in and properly train them. This center has major management issues and should be investigated and sued for false advertisement. They are definitely not worthy of the title "Preschool". read more

My daughter goes to this school and they could do much better. They continously call me during the day while I am at work to pick my daughter up for frivolous things. Right now I got a call to pick her up because she has had 2 runny diapers and vomitted once. That baby is not sick! I have to leave work for to get her. I also found out that when they take her temperature they add one degree and then report the inaccurate temperature to the parent causing the worry .Do not take your baby here. read more

Faith preschool academy at olive branch has been nothing short of eventful. If i could give a zero i would. My child has been going since 2015 and it has been one  rollercoaster. From refusing my child to go to the bathroom and letting her urinate on herself (something she has never done at home) to letting her walk around with one shoe on the entire day (after urinating on herself) even when letting the teacher know to contact me if anything goes wrong due to having a flexible work schedule. Be aware as well this school has allowed 20 plus children in a classroom setting with only one teacher..at this point, i did not want to immediately remove my child from her friends as i thought things got better... To the final straw being the teacher snatching the blanket from my child pushing her down on the mat and then aggressively picking her up to lay her straight on the mat with resulting in my child hitting her head on the wall (the mat was next to a wall). It appeared that the teacher was visibly upset that my child was the last to go to sleep. It was all on video in which we (the parents) saw. There was not any audio so we couldn't hear what was said or if my child was crying, but I could definitely tell that she was as she laid there motionless. I could tell my child was traumatized of this event because she came home and said to me "the teacher hit me on the head to the wall" (my child is 4 and she loves this teacher) The school was notified the same day to the director (who down played the incident). The director didn't apologize. This teacher was not suspended as she was at work the next day and has not been fired as she is still currently working at this location. The operations manager and one of the owners stated that the teacher was reprimanded but as a parent I have seen nothing done besides letting us not pay the last two weeks. I guess that was their way to appease us. I removed my child from this school immediately, and took her to the doctor. I want to warn parents of this school. If you choose to have your child at this school please be aware that they condone this type of behavior and nothing will be done. Be cautious of this facility, as it's not being ran ethically. Everything has been reported and this teacher has gotten a slap on the wrist and is still working with children daily. I'm very disappointed in Faith Preschool Academy. read more

My husband and I enrolled our 1 year old son in Faith Preschool Academy (Olive Branch location) and we were not happy. The staff, mainly the teachers, left much to be desired. They were not personable, they were not friendly and they did not seem to care very much about my child much less any other children in the class. My first impression was that the children seemed miserable and the teachers burnt out. I have friends and co-workers who send their children to Faith so I decided to give them a shot. They have cameras which I thought I would like to be able to see how my son was doing throughout the day. All I saw was my child being ignored and other children eating off his plate at lunch. He was new to daycare so it was understandable that he wanted a little extra attention from the teachers. He would follow them around just hoping to be picked up but most of the time he was ignored or picked up just to be put in a high chair to sit in for long periods of time. The tip of the iceberg came when an altercation occurred between my one year old and a teacher in which my son ended up falling to the floor and hitting his head. The management at Faith would not allow me to see the video of the event actually happening. They refused. I immediately removed him from the school and took him to the doctor to get checked out. The director did not apologize. The teachers did not apologize. I would NOT recommend for you to send your children here. I know not everyone will have the same experience as we did but when I was looking for daycares I found very little feedback and even fewer reviews. I'm hoping that this review helps someone in their search for a safe and happy environment for their children. read more

We are NOT fully satisfied with the quality of this daycare. We took our son out of another preschool in the area to try out Faith. On the surface Faith appears to be cheaper in tuition; however, they charge additional fees for things that were INCLUDED in the tuition at his old preschool. For example, it costs an extra $20/mo. for the camera access. Not only that, but the quality is not even as good. His old preschool also worked more at providing excellent parent/teacher relationships. They were open and honest, yet positive and wanted to work with the family on the needs of the child. I know my son is not perfect, yet every time I pick him up from Faith and ask how his day was, it seems the staff only says what they think I want to hear. In all the months he has been going there, I have never gotten a bad report. I can't work with him at home if I don't know what is going on. He is not miserable at Faith, but he does still often say he liked his old school better. We have decided to give it a few more weeks, but most likely he'll be going back to Kids R Kids very soon! read more
