I was 3 months away from my wedding at the four seasons beverly hills, and had almost given up on hope of finding a video production company that could create the perfect wedding video for a reasonable price. A friend of a friend told me about Overflow, and I honestly just booked it because their price was the most fair out of the 17 other companies I talked to. I actually didn't know what to expect, but on the wedding day, they were very well organized. They worked extremely well with my professional Photographers, and they just naturally integrated so well with all that was going on. As the crazy and hectic day went by, I saw the crew working with drones, placing mics, asking us to pose and move a certain way, they also helped us find very intimate locations to film. I could tell this video was going to be awesome. Anyway, wedding was a success but went by so fast, we were too busy to even enjoy our own wedding. And when the final video from Overflow came in... me and my wife cried watching it. When I first started talking with Geoff about doing videography for our wedding, I honestly was…read moreexpecting your average, run-of-the-mill video with cheesy fades and overdubbing. What I got was completely unreal. Geoff spent many hours taking the footage--which was already expertly shot by himself and his assistant--and making it into a highlight reel, which was less of a highlight reel and more of an exceptionally breathtaking and emotive movie-quality step into our world--set in perfect sync with songs that magically spoke to the various moments. It was honestly as if he was in my head when he created it. He must have mulled over TONS of footage to find all the nuanced parts that were so near and dear to my heart. We're talking an ending with the most beautiful words from the toast playing over splits of the both of us as we laughed and cried and the music sings. Geoff creates actual art. He is a brilliant editor and producer and this is exhibited in everything he touches. Our video builds and crescendos in a way I can't really explain with words. All I can really say is that he is wonderful in person, and a true master at his art afterwards. I now have something that I can easily share with friends and family that won't be accidentally taped over during a sporting event. ;) And he delivered expertly edited versions of the full major events (ceremony, ring toss, etc.) as well! I even thought that I wouldn't watch it but a few times on special occasions. But I find myself clicking the video at random just to savor those same emotions, see all of the beautiful faces of loved ones and remind myself of just how lucky I truly am. To say I'm incredibly thankful for Geoff would be an understatement. If you want something truly special, that has an indelible stamp of quality and art on it, don't think twice. Choosing the right person to video your wedding can be daunting and honestly, I was overwhelmed…read morewith all the choices out there and options to decide on while at the same time, stressing over all the other wedding details that were requiring my attention. What I liked about Brett is that I hired him and he took over the rest of it. He knew exactly the best shots to take and knew what I would cherish watching over and over. I didn't have to direct him to "Be sure to get this. Don't forget about shooting that" etc. We brought him to our Mexico destination wedding in Playa del Carmen and not only did he capture the wedding, he was able to capture other events such as the days before the wedding and departing Playa so the video actually told a story. The songs he choose for our wedding video came from our first dance together and some of the music he chose on his own. The actions he captured and how they went along with the tone of the music was outstanding. He really is meticulous in the editing part of the video which makes his videos stand out from other videographers out there. Many of the videos we saw when searching for a videographer were just a replay of the ceremony. Brett's films are different in that they are truly works of art. The video he made of my wedding still brings tears to my eyes, but he is so creative and good at what he does that I can watch other wedding videos on his website and I start to tear up (even though I don't even know the freakin' peeps!) In fact, he was so good, I hired him again for our wedding and reception that we had in Austin for all the folks who couldn't travel to Mexico. Again-he delivered another video masterpiece! From the very beginning…read morethey were very chill and didn't try to get money out of us for every little minute like some vendors. They enjoy what they do which really makes a huge difference. Someone filmed while I got ready that morning and another person filmed my husband get ready at another location. They then both arrived at St. Mary's Cathedral and filmed the entire wedding ceremony which can be difficult at a Cathedral because of the necessary guidelines to maintain the holy atmosphere. They did a really great job and I love that I can re-watch this whenever I want. After the wedding ceremony, they arrived at our reception at The Texas Federation of Women's Clubs Mansion. They filmed the entire reception through when we had our sparkler send off. They put together a mini-movie which was beautiful. I had just a couple of things I wanted to change on it and they were very happy to do so and they got to it very quickly. I also received the full video of the ceremony and wedding.
