The same lady is at the cleaners every time I go in; she also enthusiastically greets me with "'Caaaaarmen"!! It's like walking in to see a long lost friend. My clothes are always perfectly pressed, hung, and bagged. They take the time to ensure that those pesky numbered tags aren't stapled to my actual clothes; rather, they make sure to staple it through a loop, hole, etc. This makes me happy -- what can I say? It's the little things. :-) Brian Village is the *only* place I trust to alter or hem my clothes, as well. She measures me in store and always does an amazing job on my hems. She's even repaired a torn dress for me without me asking *and* for free. They even gave me a gratis lint roller for Christmas! I mean, what more could you ask for in a dry cleaner? First, the cleanliness. Many laundromats have filthy floors. But not this one. When we visited, it was very clean. Almost exemplary. And the washroom was also very clean and obviously well maintained, which is rare in itself. The washing machines didn't have any weird smells, black fungus or stuck old detergent from previous users. Second, the equipment. It was good. Well maintained Electrolux washers and dryers. The smallest washer (20 lb) did a good job with a regular wash and warm water. The price - 5 CAD for 28 minutes. The dryer dried our small load in just 16 minutes (1 CAD). The biggest washer takes 77 pounds, which is quite impressive. Third, the vending machines. They were well stocked. You could even buy big bottles of detergent if you wanted to. Plenty of snacks and drinks as well. Fifth, the atmosphere. There was a lot of seating near big windows. Two TVs were playing racing and wildlife. Quite cozy. The area also has interesting food choices nearby (some of them are very questionable though, be careful). What could be better: - coins don't always go through, we had to retry a couple times (never had this issue before) - main wash requires powder detergent (we didn't have it, so had to buy one for 2 CAD for a single load using the vending machine) Overall, though, my kid declared it to be his favorite laundromat. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we had everything we needed. It's rare to see someone take so much pride in their work and care so much about the customers. The entire place was spotless including the bathroom and well-maintained, which made doing laundry there so much more comfortable. Donna's positive attitude and willingness to help really stood out and made the whole experience easy and pleasant. If you're going to Laundry Boss, you'll be lucky if Donna is there. The inconsistency of her story convinced me that it was never available at this location. When I highlighted that they were advertising as having wifi online she acted disinterested and informed me that it was no problem. I guess I wouldn't have had as much of a problem with this if I a) hadn't been lied to and b) was treated like shot when I asked about it. I would never use them again & the laundry mat is also terrible, machines break down & the don't replace your money... The machine break down alot! In the pictures you can see some stains on shoulder & sleeve, wrinkled liner & outside of jacket/sleeve.
