Came in to have senior photos done for my kiddo and I was so pleasantly surprised and how quickly and smoothly everything went. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and the front desk person went over pricing and what to expect.We worked with Saniyya as our photographer who was AWESOME! Saniyya was patient with my introverted senior and gave suggestions and options as needed during our time there. She even got my moody teen to smile in most of the photos . We were in and out in under an hour and a prior to leaving someone went over next steps with us. If you have to choose between taking photos at the school or in studio, I'd recommend going to the studio. They had so many great options, props and the studio was clean and upbeat. read more

ASK ABOUT PRICING FIRST!!!! I feel like a fool for paying what I did. Completely ripped off. I paid $160 for the digitals for my sons tux yearbook pose alone and $300 for the session and then found out after the fact that one pose was $250 and 2 poses were over $500 to get certain packages and to get all the digitals, it was $1700 and that doesn't even include the cap and gown. They rescheduled the meeting for a future date so I could save a little money on the holiday special and when I had my second meeting, they said I missed the holiday special. When you already pay the session fee, you feel like you waste that money if you choose to not pick a package or purchase any pictures. I feel like a fool for paying what I paid. I feel like I just finished getting ripped off by a used car salesman. The girl I was talking to about pricing kept telling me to hold while she talked to her "manager" and then coming back and acting like she was giving me a better deal when she wasn't. I will tell everyone I know at my son's high school about my experience. It makes no sense for Cady to charge this much when so many kids and parents have great cameras and phones that take just as good pictures! read more

Cady is nothing more than a scam. They make deals with the schools to do K-11 photos and then make the schools force the senior parents to use Cady for senior pictures, where they are then price gouged. Confused as to why Cady won't share the prices of their photo packages before you book the session? It's because they know they are price gouging and then use high pressure sales tactics when the time comes to view the photos. Want to take proofs home to think about it? Nope, not a chance. My husband couldn't attend the session to view the photographs and they wanted me to choose right then and there or book another viewing session that he could attend. Considering he wasn't there due to back problems, that wasn't an option. When you walk into your private viewing room with your sales associate, they have your pictures playing on a TV with sentimental music in the background, like that is supposed to hypnotize you into not knowing you're getting ripped off. And the prices. Good lord. If you book the session to have outside photos and not just the generic in studio scenes, then the package prices are higher. $500 for 1 pose of a few wallets and a 5x7. If you wanted digital files, it was over $2k. I told them exactly what I thought of them, walked out, and found another photographer. Got the session and digitals of all photos for $600 and still spent less than I would've buying 1 pose from Cady. And the pictures were better. I've learned my lesson and won't even use them for the yearbook photo for my daughter. The school can take the digital photo I send them to use or not. I won't be giving Cady another cent or second of my time. Enough parents at my school are crying foul over this scam, it shouldn't be a problem. read more

Cady Studios is a scam at its finest. So they book one session for senior and cap and gown photos and you pay for that package. Then in the winter Cady let's you know you only bought the $460 complete everything package, but that doesn't include the cap and gown photos. By the way, they make no mention of this at that time and you find you have to spent over $200 more for the same photo shoot to get the cap and gown. Biggest ripoff scam photographer company I've ever seen. Save all the scam and money and hire a local photographer to do the ehole thing without all the lies and hidden costs. read more

SO MUCH WASTED TIME! If you're like most Millennial parents of Gen Z kids and prefer to have digital images, be prepared to spend $1,800-$2,000 or only get to chose 3 images. There is no middle ground. Honestly, I hate writing this review (which I'm literally writing from the parking lot) because the session was great. The photographer was awesome, hair and make up on point. We went with the Elite session, which we understood came with a sitting fee. We understood there would be a deposit for the viewing session. We even understood that there were some very expensive packages, and that there was an $1,800 option if we wanted all of the images on a drive. What we weren't told, however, that there isn't a mid-level option. We took off work, spent 5 hours, dragged a piano to the studio (that's her hobby)... all to find out that even their top Elite package with prints only provides THREE digital images. THREE? For $1,400? Are you kidding me? The Elite package itself comes with all the various scenes, an option for an on-location (thank goodness we didn't waste our time with that), and doesn't have an option to even pick one or two from each set to purchase digitally? Apparently this company is living in 1995, the era before social media. Which is the predatory sales tactic some of the other reviewers have mentioned. They basically position it to where you have to spend $2k or else if you want more than 3 digital images. I would have happily paid a little more per image for the option to select 15-30 images to take home on a drive. But that's not an option. There's nothing even close to that for an option. It's ALL or THREE. I'm heartbroken for my daughter. We hyped this up so much, got her hair done the day before, spent hours shopping and coordinating outfits for the various scenes we picked. And because we didn't want to spend $2,000 to get all of the images (and don't really care about the prints, so to me it's $1,400 for THREE digital images), we're literally walking away with nothing. Not even a single digital image of her graduation picture, which would have cost $900. What a waste of time. I would have NEVER booked the Elite package and spent all of that time and money had I known there wasn't a reasonable digital option. Buyer beware. This is a complete SCAM. read more

Lots of pop ups along the way to simply checkout resulted in my accidentally selecting a different package, but had the same price so I didn't notice until my email confirmation. Cady Photography is highway robbery! I purchased the $258 digital package and was told later on that the cap and gown photos (FROM the SAME SITTING), are ANOTHER package priced at $149. Also, we had to have two different settings because the pictures I picked were not in the original package and the ones Cady kept on file were not good nor ones I chose! But I can't just pick from the entire sitting, I have to pay almost $500 bucks for two packages?? The high school had a company last year; Prestige Photography and they were SO MUCH better. Every year our sports photos are terrible. Last year, track photos were not good. The background was just the plain white sky with a corner of the score board. Not a glimpse of the track - And he is standing on the track! Just got football pictures back and same thing; in one pose the bleachers are completely crooked, he is centered but looks crooked because everything is off. Second pose plain white sky background with the tip a tree in one corner and electrical lines across the back. Do y'all even pay attention to where you are setting up or how the subject looks in the photo? Or you are just trying to get through the entire football team? I don't understand how you want to charge so much for such unprofessional pictures. It is so upsetting that these are the pictures I have to choose from. read more

Would NOT recommend adding hair and makeup for senior photos! Our stylist showed up 30 minutes late, took 1.5 hours just for simple waves (no makeup!!), and my daughter swears she was high. Really??! We were forced here via the Leander School District for "senior photos". I knew we were trying to get some good photos of my son for this momentous occasion and I expected to spend some money...so we paid for the $250 "Elite session" (that's just for the session, not the photos). I gave an "extra star" for the poses and scene variety. However, I give only "1 star" (if even that) for the photo presentation appointment once the photos were ready... The rep sits you and your senior down and plays a video with your child's voice narrating the photos - cue #1 they were trying to turn on your emotions as a parent to then whip out your check-book with fogged-up reasoning. Cue #2 of the used-car sales tactic with them asking you after that "so what are you looking for in a photo package?" - they don't lay on the table the variety of packages for you to look over, think, decide, etc. "Well, I'm not sure which pose(s) I want right this moment since most of them are great", they say "Oh, you can have a USB with the digitals of all the photos, and we'll throw in 10-sheets for free!". I thought it would set me back some, but never in a million years did I think they wanted my first born (literally), plus my arm and leg! So I didn't bother to go out of my way to ask "how much?", and we proceeded to pick out said 10-sheets (10 different poses). Then at the end of the whole process, she non-chalantly says "That'll be $2,000 plus sales tax" (which was $2,165) - I about choked on my tongue. Of course, I can't spend that kind of money without discussing it with my husband - which was very awkward conversation to have sitting in that room with her hearing every word. I believe these are deceptive and sneaky sales tactics to say the least! Any honorable photo place needs to show the photos then lay out on the table (or screen) all the different packages you can choose from; be honest and upfront. Better yet, it would be even more honorable to be completely transparent (being as how we are pigeon-holed into coming here by the school district) to put the price of the photo packages on the website and not just the price of the sessions....that way folks know fully what they're getting into financially from the beginning. It's all for nothing if you pay for an Elite Session, then can't follow thru with purchasing a good variety of poses afterwards... Word to the wise: with the way CADY operates, it would be better to get your Senior yearbook photo only and then support a local photographer to know what you're getting into with prices and at least no bait and switch used-car sales pitches. AND you'll spend less overall, while supporting a local photographer - win/win! read more

We came there in September for a "Most Popular" session in hopes of getting yearbook photos and some extra photos for memorabilia. On the day we go, the building is very much understaffed and we spent 4 hours there, sitting a lot of the time waiting for someone to come and get us. We figured at the end of the day, if we could come and get our photos and digitals, all will be fine. We were THEN scheduled to come in a month later to actually review the photos, and when we got there, we were told you are only allowed to buy photos through EXTREMELY expensive packages, and that the reference that told me you could pay for digitals was incorrect because they got a different session. They do not make it clear enough that you will have different packages for different sessions. A waste of 4 hours and $160. Don't go. And if you do just buy your yearbook picture and get out. read more

it was ok at the beginning, we had rescued with a different photographer because we did not like how some of the pictures came out but to then find out the original photographer had changed it back to there name we were upset we did not say anything, the photographer kept making comments on how they like to fix something they did wrongly and was also blaming the way the photos were edited, this was not a time to be trying to fix your mistakes it takes us about 1 hour to get there but we also paid 2,000 dollars for the photos so i don't know what the photographer was think, do that on you own time and money we did not just pay 2,000 for you to practice taking photos! read more

At the end of the session, I was interested in purchasing some pictures. But the first pictures we took were Shadowland photos. The previews are digital photos in COLOR. I wanted to purchase these photos, but I wanted to purchase them in color (exactly what I was looking at on the monitor). I was told this was not possible, as the pictures would be run through a program that would make them black and white. The fact that the pictures were taken in COLOR, reviewed in COLOR, but can't be purchased in color is frustrating. I was frustrated with the lack of customer service at the studio. The whole- "I can't do anything about it" seemed ridiculous to me with regard to digital photos. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. I reached out to customer service to see if they would allow me to purchase the pictures in color instead of black and white, but they said no. In a world of AI and digital picture remodeling, why would I not be able to PAY for the pictures I am looking at without changing them? read more

Amazing. I have to start this review off with that because that's how these people made my daughter feel on her senior picture day. On July 28th, we were running late to her photo shoot and due to that we forgot some of our daughter's items she needed for this shoot. They told her not to worry and worked with her while her dad and I quickly ran to our house and grabbed her forgotten items. ​They stayed late to finished her photos, without making anyone feel rushed and were very supportive during the shoot. The problem with Candy is their pricing is deceptive. You pay a premium for a session which includes nothing but the session. They hold your images hostage until you agree to go in for a sales pitch. Then, if you want any images the prices are Sky high. Like 300 per image. It's a classic bait and switch tactic. I worked as a professional photographer for 15 years, published in Martha Stewart and more, and the lack of transparency with pricing at Cady is remarkable. If they would have been upfront about the actual cost to get the photos I could have supported a local photographer for half the price and received all my digital files. They have a nice looking space and friendly staff, hence not a one star review, but ethically this business really rubs me the wrong way. If you can go elsewhere, do it. read more

This place is a money making scam - they charge a huge sitting fee with a bunch of add ons (ours was over 300 dollars) - then get this -$200 for one printed image - they don't tell you before you sit that's how much ONE - that right one singular print cost $200 dollars - and the second a bargain at a dollar less lol - and the bonus of two digital images if you buy under 30 days! I am not impressed!! This is for high school students getting ready to go to college - why are high schools even working with them- is a kick back involved? Why not work with photography students in your school or local schools or just offer multiple choices that include ethical prices - this is robbing them of funds for college. Listen to this - basically a cool $2000 for the digital prints of your photo shoot unless you don't want the cap and gown one they take - then you can take a few hundred off for that one photo opportunity - which I feel is another clear example of them using the situation to exploit money. Like hey if you want to capture this once in a life time moment professionally we are going to stick it to you and change you a few hundred more for this one shot ... oh but we won't tell you until after how much you have to pay. If you are required to get your kids senior yearbook photo here get that and go elsewhere for the rest - pricing is better just about - well ... everywhere else I've looked into so far and everyplace I've ever been in my lifetime. I had my son's senior picture taken here and the quality is terrible. The order I received did not look like the proof I approved. My wife's kids graduated a few years earlier and at that time they used Prestige. When I hung my son's picture on the wall next to theirs you can really see how poor the quality is. I purchased Senior pictures for my daughter, only to find out that they did not take any cap and gown photos. These were taken later, and they wanted to charge me again for the same pictures I already paid, for plus the cap and gown pictures. There was no way to credit what I had already paid or select specific pictures that we wanted from the second session online. However, if I had waited to purchase them after the second sitting, I would have been able to get them all for the same price I paid for the first sitting. My daughter called to request an accommodation due to this not being communicated and was stone walled. This feels like a scam to get parents who are waiting for cap and gown pics for graduation invitations to pay twice for what they thought was already covered or force them to order through Cady. Not cool at all. I will never do business with this company again, and will tell anyone who will listen to avoid them. read more

We had a wonderful time in the studio for my son's senior portraits! I was impressed with the way the studio looked, as I have never been into a studio like this before. The atmosphere made the experience feel very special, like we were special. They have a comfortable and clean dressing room with multiple spacious stalls for outfit changes and plenty of mirrors. All of the "scenes" they offer on their website are setup in a large room side by side so if you decide you want a different scene than what you chose online (like we did) it is an easy switch. The photographer was kind and patient with us. She made sure we were happy with the photos after each shot. We had several clothes changes and several different scenes. At no point did we ever feel rushed. She gave good suggestions for poses and props. At one point, another photographer who was walking by gave us a suggestion for a shot and it turned out amazing! All of the staff in the studio were smiling, happy, friendly, and helpful. As guests in the studio they ask that we not take photos. This was extremely difficult for me because I wanted to capture the moment and the experience. They do allow you to take a photo at their "Seniors 2024" space so I did and that's the picture I added to this review. I highly recommend CADY Studio in Cedar Park! read more

This was the only company our school used for senior pictures. I majored in photography for a year and while I didn't pursue it as a career, and I don't consider myself an amateur photographer, I can say with absolute confidence that I can take better pictures with my iPhone and my 15 yr old Nikon. The prices are insane. The packages start at $300, the portfolio, which we never received was $150 to buy within 60 days, or $234 if you don't mail it back to them. These don't include cap and gown pictures, which is another $300. It was so absurd it was comical. The lighting was terrible in all of the pictures. This is Austin. Everyone here is an amateur photographer and you can find infinitely better options for far cheaper. I don't mind paying alot for great photography and I don't mind paying a small amount of money for mediocre photography. I really hope the schools go with a different company in the future or this company hires on a better team or does more tailing at the very least. read more
