Elle and Dom assisted us with our photography session and it went great! They answered all our questions and were very kind and patient. Nicole was our photographer and she was nice and moved swiftly. The studio was very easy to navigate, we were given and tour and they explained all we needed to know. The studio was clean and cozy and we felt welcomed. Parking was free and plenty of spots. We had an evening appointment and had the studio to ourselves. Why are the positive reviews on Cady's Google business listings so brief and light on details, but the negative reviews are lengthy and heavy on details? The positive reviews are probably either fake or solicited. Take a look at the profiles of those reviewers. Many of them have few reviews to their name, with some having only one (that one being for CADY). Their reviews left for other business listings are similarly brief with scant details. Now check out the reviews here on Yelp. They are mostly negative, but lengthy and heavy on details. Don't rely entirely on the Google reviews alone, especially when the business provider is CADY. They really lock you in with their photo packages. It's not clearly explained upfront that the initial fee only covers the photo sitting -- not the actual photos. Once you arrive, the photo packages start around $500, and ours would have been about $850 without hair and makeup. Digital photos cost between $1,700-$1,900, plus extra fees of over $150 and $99 just for USB shipping. The photos turned out nice, but the pricing and lack of transparency were really disappointing, especially for anyone on a budget. In the end, I decided to buy the pictures because by the time you factor in the cost of hair, makeup, and finding another photographer, it would've been close to what we already paid -- so we just went with it and thats what they are banking on. Also my friend paid less than I did for the same package. They do not advertise "sales" so you really do not know what you are going to pay. The worst pictures imaginable! They over edit. The brightness is horrid. The pricing is ridiculous. No one at our school has been happy but apparently a two year contract is agreed upon. They never finished my pictures on time so I was not able to choose my picture for the yearbook. I've tried reaching out for weeks and nothing. I'm so disappointed that they'd do this. It's my senior year and I wanted it as close to perfect as possible and they couldn't even do that? I haven't even seen any pictures but I won't be purchasing anything from them. It took me 5 hours to finish my appointment, I missed other important things that day because I was told my session would only be an hour. I am highly dissatisfied with CADY, which we had to use for my granddaughter's senior portraits. Their charges are so exorbitant that I can see why they are not upfront with pricing. If there is a chart of available packages and their cost on the website, I could not find it. For her senior session at Dacula, we arrived at our appointed time to find a big line ahead of us. It was an hour before we were connected with a photographer. At checkout I was given two options to pay for photos on the spot (which I was told would give me a $50 discount compared to paying after I had seen the results): $249 (plus a processing fee!) for digital images or something considerably more for digital images plus a portfolio. When I asked about printed pictures I was told that I should take one of those two packages because if I wanted prints it would cost $50 for each 8x10. There was no mention of picture packages or any other way to buy the photos. I did buy the digital photos and now see that on almost all of them (including every yearbook picture) there is a piece of hair right across her forehead and into one of her eyes. Could the photographer not have done something about that during the sitting. What a waste of time and money! If I had seen the results before paying, I would not have bought a single one of the pictures. But I was a fool and did preorder, so others be warned. read more

They weren't able to finish the photo shoot, didn't care I paid to get her hair done. Picture retouch made pictures look like cartoons and we are on our 3rd redo. They take no accountability for their mistakes. Supposed to be a high-end studio it's not they're using untrained staff and charging you absorbent fees. My daughter & friend went for senior pictures at CADY yesterday. Staff were all smiling & helpful with the amount of people; students, parents.... even a dog!! Pre-sign up & pay for what "sessions" you want. There were dressing rooms for those changing into different outfits. Check in at the front, they give you the run-down & off ya go to the various "session" booths. I say sessions because each booth was set up differently with its own photographer. Pretty cool, actually. My issue was the chaotic lines, or lack thereof. Small studio for the amount of activity & no formal structure for lines, who goes where, etc. lines were mixed up & staff trying to get through all afternoon was tough. They need 3 designated staff members for each studio/room. 1 to greet guests & direct to the accessory staff member, & 3rd being the photographer. If I read the room correctly that's 14 staff to keep organization & flow going. Seems they had staff to do that. Photographers snap pics & have edit/delete rights before they are really actually seen by the guest being photographed. I get that- they are the pro, but our friends who went with us didn't want her ear showing & they chose THOSE very pics & deleted the others... she made them adjust asap. Clients are paying for this- they should at least view quickly & save frustration! Anyway the experience was not bad & they have snacks/coffee/water as well. They all did the best they can & nothing is perfect. My little girl grew up & is a Sr in HS! I wanna enjoy every moment!!! read more

My daughter is currently a senior. She took her photos which came out good. The issues I had with them is when the portfolio was returned to the studio were the pictures was taken, they didn't accept it. She had to actually ship it off from the Post Office. Earlier this month my account was charged over $200! CADY said they didnt receive the returned photos. Thank God I was able to provide the PROOF (Dates, times & receipts). When dealing with this company, keep notes and receipts of the people you come in contact with. Even if you tell them NO!! the end result for them is to make $$$ so they will do whatever it takes, which includes taking money out of your account, after you have declined even offer. I went with my grandson for his senior pics. I thought I was buying a timeshare. They do NOT tell you that you can't buy the picture with his cap and gown unless you spend 1000.00. We just received his pictures in the mail today and it looks like his lip is bleeding...they are supposed to take care of this. I spent 400.00 and 139.00 sitting fee on what looks like Kmart pictures for 12.99 Very disappointed in this place and would not recommend to anyone. I was concerned about having my daughter's pictures done here as she is special needs. I called ahead and they had the kindest photographer (Sam V) available for our shoot. Sam worked very hard today and I wanted to make sure that I gave her a big shout out. Also the front desk employee was very professional. He gave us instructions and let us know what to expect before and afterwards. I think that some of the negative reviews could be from the summer when they have teenaged staff. The worst company to respond to taking duplicate payments. I have been trying for 3 days to get reimbursed for a payment they took out twice. I called customer service and was informed I need to speak with the actual location, however there's no number listed, the number listed is directed to customer service. My son had his senior pictures done at this Cady studios location. It was not a good experience. They book too many appointments for the same session and we had to wait in a lengthy line to get just his pictures taken. Upon checking out, they try to sell you the most expensive packages. I bought ONE hard copy photograph for $102. It wasn't even the digital image. Literally charge $79 for a page of 2 5x7s and then $15 for shipping and handling plus tax. I would give 0 stars if I could. Cady sent me a portfolio that I didnt order. I returned it. They debited my bank account for the portfolio anyway. I have now been requesting a refund for going on two weeks. They send canned auto response emails telling me they have reached out two ways when they have not, in fact, reached out at all. I have called and emailed. I have reached out to my bank to dispute the charge but since Cady said in an email that a refund is coming At SOME POINT in the future with no estimated date on when that refund will happen the bank doesnt want to start a dispute. In the meantime I am down $237 dollars that they have STOLEN from me. When I tried to reach out via social media they blocked me. When I called the school to complain they informed me that they have received MANY complaints from other parents and they hope to never use them again. Be sure to use a credit card if you must so you can just have the CC company dispute the charge WHEN they steal from you. read more

I bet somewhere there's a neurosurgeon who wanted to make more money so he quit and started doing senior portraits instead. Cady Studios charges Morton's Steakhouse prices but serves up McDonald's. I've never seen photographers less interested in the people being photographed. We bought the cheapest, $30 session fee just so he could get his tux pic in the yearbook. The basic package to get any of the pictures is $150 and that's before you see the pictures. If you wait until after you see the pictures it's $250. The timeshare people could learn a thing or two from Cady. They let me take one pic with my phone and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the best one of the bunch. But the important thing is that my son is graduating and we couldn't be more proud. read more

just now NEW Went in for senior portraits just to be in the yearbook. Specifically asked for their portfolio to NOT be sent to me on multiple occasions as I do not have a printer and had no vehicle to return it. The people at the session assured me a return label would be in the box IF they did send it to me even though I was requesting it NOT BE SENT. Cady studios employs amateur photographers who are not at the level of photography that deserves such high costs. Their photos are mediocre at best, and most definitely not worth their fees. Customer service with Cady studios is absolutely atrocious! Went to the Dacula location today after getting someone to help me get there. Upon walking in the front door, the frumpy looking girl at the front was texting on her cell phone when I walked in. I informed her I was there to return the portfolio to receive a refund. She said she had to make sure everything was in the box. She then told me I was missing some envelope with "extra pictures" and I could not get a refund since it wasn't in there. I told her I didn't receive an envelope with extra pictures, she argued and said that I did and wouldn't get a refund without them. I asked for a manager and the girl picked up her cell phone, rolled her eyes at me and walked away. A few mins later the manager came out and I told her the girl said I would not receive a refund because I didn't bring something back that I didn't receive. The little girl then spoke up and bold face lied saying she never said that. The manager graciously agreed to give a refund, but she had an attitude problem as well. Clearly they care NOTHING about customer service as the manager basically told the girl her actions were acceptable. They were even laughing about it after I walked out the door. Save your money, use a private photographer or even do the photos yourself with your phone, they will be better than anything Cady studios produces. Not to mention you will not have to deal with unprofessional and rude people. read more

It's a great concept but the services are horrible. I came a year ago with one son and over paid for the elite package. The service at that time was great with the exception of a graduation cap that was too small. The hat looked comical. Their response was to order one myself and bring him back later. Who has time for that? I am here with another son and the services are HORRIBLE!!!!! There is no accountability. It is very unorganized. We waited for over 30 minutes for a photographer to take my son outside for his session. I spoke to the desk staff and no one seems to communicate. There are a couple of photographers here who are stellar. They can work the equipment and recommend great poses. I'm happy that this is my last round of senior pictures because I NEVER want to spend my money here again. read more

When we came to the studio to return the portfolio as we were told to do on the phone, we were met with ridiculous attitude. The manager Jessica was extremely rude and argued with us throughout the entire process and even tried to refuse our refund. Customer reps do not listen to you fully. The manager at the Dacula location however was the only helpful person there, Ms Duncan, and the 2 photographers, Jackson and Amber, the only good photographers. But as a whole i would not recommend. We were forced as parents to use them or no pictures in the yearbook. Now i am arguing over a service i used that was used i need refunded on. They do not give refunds. read more

I had a great photographer. The photos are expensive. They sent a 20% off coupon code that would not work. Called the company and they would not honor. They said no coupons were active and would not be. I went ahead and placed an order for over $400 regular price and 5 hours later they sent me a coupon code for 30% off. I called and the refused to honor it by a price adjustment or cancel and let me reorder. This type behavior just lets you know the type of people you are dealing with. Just finished our senior picture session at Cady Studios. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone was so accommodating. My son was never rushed and he was allowed to be "himself" which was so important. Our photographer Walter Sanders was awesome. You can tell Walter enjoys what he do and is very patience. Walter makes sure he get it right. It was very pleasant watching Walter take my son's senior photos. The only problem I have with Cady studio is the cost of high school senior photos. Very overly priced. Walker is a 5 star photographer but I gave 4 stars due to Cady prices for pictures. The pictures are very expensive. I expected high school senior pictures to be expensive but Cady prices are out rages!!!!!! Please do your research before booking appointment. The school system recommended Cady for senior photos. So, I just went along. I know there are photographers that do a great job with more reasonable prices. If the photo shoot was for a wedding then I would understand why the price is so high but for high school senior pictures--- no. The session fee doesn't include any photos. read more

honestly this past experience with your company has been a nightmare. First, I am being requested for a photo session to view pictures. I do not have time to do this as the hours are during the day when I am at work. Also, we do not need a photo session. I am looking to possibly purchase the portfolio and maybe a couple other photos and that is all. I am not doing frames or touch ups or anything like that. Second, the whole experience of the photo shoot was awful. We were supposed to be there an hour and half and ended up being there THREE AND A HALF HOURS!!! We had to rearrange other plans that we had for the day. While we were there, there were people in front of us having what seemed like a private session that lasted more than 20 minutes while multiple people stood in line waiting. Then on one photobooth when it was my son's turn he was skipped by someone who came walking with their own photographer from somewhere else. They took again over 20 minutes. Arrived...smooth check in. Got to the first booth and the guy was new. So little photos taken! Got to second booth again saw many photos from those ahead of us and yet no senior sign or many photos taken like those before me. Yearbook photos quick then they asked for the pearls we brought back! Nope those were ours! Apparently the workers were shocked. Absolute SCAM. Purchased the lowest photography package for seniors (simple session) and I just want to purchase the digitals. I have purchased digitals in the past from Cady Studios, but apparently for seniors, only packages ranging from $369-699 include any digitals at all ($369 is only 3 digitals). The studio itself is very poorly organized and employees seemed to lack experience. The biggest issue is that getting digitals alone is only prohibited for senior pictures. I'm almost positive those are the only school pictures anybody would be willing to pay any money for! Not having the option to pay the $149 value for ALL digitals (as listed on the website) is enraging. read more

The only positive thing I can say about Cady Studio's is that the employees at the Dacula location were friendly, helpful and seemed to be organized. Would have given them a 4 star if based only on location. However, Cady Studios in general is awful. I have tried each year to view my daughters ROTC pictures online and was never able to log on. Several emails and calls to customer service proved to be wasted time. When I found out that in order for her Sr. picture to be included in the yearbook we had to use Cady I knew it was going to be a nightmare. Tried to log in to my account and shows my email/password and is invalid. Called customer service and they told me that the first password entered usually shows invalid. She sent me a link to reset password-- worked that day. Just tried to log on to see my daughters proofs and once again showing my email address is invalid. Thankfully, I only paid the for the $30 session. Also, company will not give you any type of pricing structure to purchase the pictures in advance. Grateful that this is my last child in public school and will no longer have to deal with such incompetence. read more
