We ended up coming here for my dad's birthday after a long day at Versailles and the Matthieu our server was so hospitable and nice. He also spoke English very well so I asked where he learned to speak English and turns out he lived in Florida and Hawaii for many years before returning to Paris. The bar area was upbeat and lively.
