Had a really hard time reviewing this place. Great location in downtown Interlaken, with a cheap parking garage right across the street. Food was delicious with some good wine and beer options, but the service was dreadful. For food, I ordered the breaded white fish cooked in olive oil with potatoes and vegetables. My boyfriend had the venison dish, a special, with a lot of accompaniments we didn't know. Regardless, they both were extremely good and well-portioned. We got there at 8:15, and didn't receive our food til 9:45, when we were two of four people left in the restaurant. Our server came to bring our drinks, take our order and then we never saw her again. We saw her leave at around 9pm and had to flag down another server to ask about our food. We were told 5 mins, and then it was another 15. We weren't in a rush, but it was still a frustrating experience. Also, it was pretty pricey. I don't think I'd recommend.

Excellent service, and amazing atmosphere when you walk in. Was greeted by everyone who served us and walked by. The food!!!!!!! Best salmon I've ever had hands down will be visiting here often.

Great spot. Reasonably priced compared to a lot of the other restaurants in the area, large portions, friendly service, and inexpensive drinks. The cassis blanc was $6 a glass and delicious, the chicken club was hearty for $14 and the apfelstrudel was delicious. Definitely recommend if you're in interlaken

Nice terrace & good food, but nothing to rave about. Multiple vegetarian options, including salads, a couple pastas, and a veggie wrap. Hubby ordered the meat and cheese platter - take note of the pickle slices - they're arranged in the shape of a heart :) Husband says plate was okay - the olives were kind of dry (which is weird..), but overall, it hit the spot. I had the vegetable ravioli in herb cream sauce - Again, the pasta was okay. Not fantastic, but it fit the bill for what I was after. As everyone notes, the prices are on par with every other restaurant - I.e. Expect to drop around 20-25 CHF per person (sans drinks). I can't highly recommend Cafe de Paris, but I wouldn't dissuade you from giving it a whirl.

Fondue, raclette, schnitzel, rosti, etc. A lot of people would have their picture taken in front of this restaurant whether they eat/ ate here or not. Rindgeschnetzeltes Stroganoff mit Nudeln, Peperoni Champignons und Essiggurken: Sliced beef stroganoff with pasta, pepperoni, mushrooms, and pickles. The "pepperoni" in Europe means peppers. No actual pepperoni came with this dish. LOL. Stroganoff with a little kick. They could've added a bit more beef though. 3/5 Fritschi Pastetli: Fritschi puff-pastry from a very old house recipe. They had 3 menu items that are house specialties so, I wanted to give one of them a try and I picked this. I Googled what Fritschi Pastetli before coming here. Puff pastry pie - I can eat that. You can taste the alcohol. The puff pastry was nice but overall the dish was salty and again, not enough meat. 3/5 A lot of people complained about the service here on review sites but our server was great. The artwork, the old furnitures give it character. The food was mediocre.

Ksanet, Bianka and Rui were amazing in their own rights and definitely were humans first and Lumiere employees second and forth. Not only did they serve us but gave us a few moments from their tight schedules to walk us through about how we could make use of a Sunday ( Switzerland for the most part is closed on Sunday's and we were not prepared for that :( ). These folks had some amazing suggestions to make through and through and helped us a lot with our questions about Switzerland and travels in general. The ambiance was stunning and the place was packed and had moderate amount of noise in there attributing to the conversations. The interiors were pretty amazing and well thought out and depicted the history of Lumiere. We ordered a side salad, octopus with sliced potatoes, tuna tartare on avocado bed and for dessert we got ourselves the lime tart. The octopus dish was outstanding just like the tuna tartare where we enjoyed every bite slowly. The salad was put together very well and the dessert topped it all off to call it an evening. This place definitely should definitely be in your list to visit in Zurich and given its proximity to Zurich HB it's an easy decision to make ( even if you had to come out of your way to grab a bite here it will be so well worth it).
