This is one of those typical tourist places. However I would say the food is better than average for this kind of place. The prices are OK. The goulash in the sauerkraut were pretty good. Nuremberg sausages will test it a little bit like cheaper breakfast franks. The truck was OK but it was basically just cooked with the skin on and then Homans thrown on the top of it. The mugs of beer were pretty decent at five euros a glass.
The big problem that we had was the service. We were served a salad and one glass of beer. And then we waited for over an hour. We started asking repeatedly what was going on with the food and we're not getting any answers. We saw other people show up 20 minutes after we've come served entire dinners while we were still waiting. At the point we were about to walk out finally the soup in the two main dishes finally arrived. We asked for another beer to help with our meal and again there was a huge delay. The place was not that busy at that point and it took so long to deliver the beer that we were essentially finished with our dinners. They never gave us any water at all and finally serve the beer when we were done.
It's still me of the time when we ordered but by the time we finished it was knight in fairly cold and we started getting sick from the whole experience of waiting in the cold for so long. read more
