It was a long time since my last visit! The atmosphere is amazing and the interior is very cozy and inviting. The exterior is beautiful too and all lighting would grab attention. The server was very funny, friendly and efficient! The wine, appetizers and main were at awesome and delicious! I loved my experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was great. The ambiance is great. The service is good. But allow me to elaborate as to why I gave 3 stars: the food was great, but overpriced. The ambiance was great (no buts on the ambiance; it's a nice place). The service was good, but given my bill was about $100 dollars, I could not afford to tip as well. The look I received from our server on the way out made me and my girlfriend feel horrible. I am on supported living. I make $70 a week (I spent a week and a half of my earnings on one meal here). I destroyed my shoulder in an accident last year, and I have no job. I normally don't eat out because I can't afford it. Tonight (2025-03-11) was different because it was mine and my girlfriend's 6 month anniversary (we like to do something romantic for each other each month to celebrate). We had a good time, but the look I received soured the whole evening. I know servers are underpaid and rely on tips. Some customers just can't afford to give them. I hope this review underlines that point, and teaches the server that they do not know their customer's background: the server did everything perfectly until the look. To the server who served us, I am sorry I couldn't give you a tip, but it was no reason to give such a scathing stare. In spite of an otherwise perfect evening, I am not sure that I will return to dine at Cafe Amore Bistro.

Amazing food, service and ambiance. Love that the pasta is home made. We felt welcomed once we sat foot in there. I had the truffle pasta and my friend had the chicken with pasta. We also ordered to great Ceasars. They are fantastic. The prices are higher than perhaps other pasta places, but the quaility of the food shows and the portions are huge. I had lunch for the next day. Service was spot on and friendly. Food tasted delicious. I did find that my truffle pasta lacked a bit on the truffle flavour. Otherwise delicous. Do try this if you are in the mood for some filling food, a warm atmosphere, and for lunch the next day! Also if you are able, come at lunch because that is when there are a cheaper deals :) This is my go to for Italian food. You won't be dissapointed.

It's been awhile since I've been to Cafe Amore and it was better than I remembered. Our waiter was so knowledgeable and helpful, making our experience even better. Everyone tried a different pasta and loved it. The Sambuca Rose with sausage was everyone's favourite, but the Lobster Mac and Cheese and Pesto Alfredo were runner ups. The dessert sampler was fun to share with the table and gave a good variety for everyone with different dessert preferences.

Lovely cozy ambience. Small family run restaurant is super friendly. One of the best places in Edmonton for pasta. Located near grant macewan college. Theres street parking available for 1 hour for free. Spots are limited but if you dont mind walking you will get one. Once inside its so warm and cozy. Checkered red and white table cloths. Dark wood. Family photos surround the space with photos with local celebrities as well. What a nice concept. Beautiful. The decor sets a family style ambience like you are visiting your grandma for a home cooked meal. Italian opera music playing in the backround. Sets a a romantic feeling like you are in rome. Honestly. The atmosphere reminds me the most of eating at a restaurant in rome but in edmonton. Its similar to a locale warp. Reservations are a must. This restaurant is jam packed full all the time. In the evening there are two seatings: 5-730 then 745-1000. We were not all rushed after staying a tad after 10pm. I enjoyed the live accordion music. It was cute. We started with an antipesto platter it was smaller than most with about three peices of everything. Some cheese wrapped in prosuitto, marinated artichokes, olives and a few pieces of cheese. Its best for about two to three people. Pretty average at best. I have to say the ceasers here are impressive. Literally a huge beer cup filled to the rim with a huge pickle, like 8 olives and even a spoonful of horseradish. It was an appetizer on its own. The group of girls I was with wanted to share. So we had a little bit of everything. The portion sizes are huge. Good for two people easy. All of them were tasty with plenty of sauces. I have to say the best pastas were the three cheese pasta and the friday clam special with a garlic wine sauce. They were both creamy and surprisingly light for heavy dishes. I tried the bolagnese, the truffled chicken and mushrooms, the clam garlic wine sauce pasta and the three cheese. We shared a chicken parmigiana as well which was plenty of meat for three people. The chickens were the size of a hand and there was two pieces smothered in cheese and sauce. It was all great. We had carb overload afterwards and it was very satisfying. There was still plenty of leftovers. There were 7 of us, and we each had full plates but left with three bags of leftovers still! For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was different bc the ladyfingers were crushed into the cheese and there was a lot of whipped cream. It was good but not at all authentic tiramisu. I have to highly recommend the red velvet cake. It has this thick center of white chocolate that is not sweet which was so good. It comes from a local bakery in the west end and it is by far one of the best red velvet cakes ive had in edmonton. Dont miss out. Ive come for lunch and despite the business being busy. Service was great. Food delicious and we were in and out in less than an hour. Which at lunch time is a perk! They have paninis only before 4pm . And they are served on a crusty bread which was delicious. Pricewise...it seems a good value bc the portions are large and do not skimp out on meat or sauces. The daily specials with the added side of meat or seafood is probably the best choices on the menu. If you can get a table at this cozy family owned resto...take it!

Came for dinner with a friend. Service is always great, never any complaints, however the food was mediocre. Paying $32 for chicken parmigiana, the breading to the chicken should not be soggy due to the large amount of sauce, which also made it hard to taste the mozzarella. For starters we ordered the Cesar salad and the maple sausage crostini. The meat on the crostini tasted heavily processed and the flavours of the maple and ricotta did not make sense to the palate. The bread was also extremely hard to bite. For dessert we got the tiramisu, which was a 5/5! Overall I found the quality of the food did not align with the price. The menu also seems a bit outdated. 3.5/5.

The food and service was absolutely excellent when I went with my partner to celebrate our one year anniversary. They even made us a small desert to congratulate us. Loved the atmosphere/ambiance of the place, and can't wait to come back again on another occasion! Highly recommend it!

Cafe Amore is a cosy, no-frills Italian restaurant in Edmonton. I called and asked if I can walk in since I'm in the area and they said they are not busy at that time and I am welcome to come in. I really like the entrance with brick and decoration outside. He assist me sitting next to the kinda storage (but not sure) with curtains. My server Justine said Hi and she took my order and suggested some appetizers. She's very helpful and polite. While I'm eating I feel like Allan the door runner is rushing me when I asked him to turn the light on my table. I get it I have no reservation but at least he treat me as a customer. To be honest I did not enjoy my food and I just rush going out of the restaurant. I didn't feel that I am welcome. I am actually excited to try this place but so disappointed with his gestures.

Absolutely incredible food! So delicious! We were greeted and seated by the owner, fantastic menu, service was spot on! Very attentive! Highly recommended!

My family enjoyed dinner at Cafe Amore last night and we felt as though we had to drop a review! This experience was terrific, start to finish. Our server was engaged and accommodating. He was incredibly attentive and made great recommendations without being intrusive, we wanted for nothing. Drinks were full at all times. The food was exceptional. We loved every dish we ordered and knowing how great they were, we intend to come back again and run through the menu. Hard to imagine that every dish wouldn't be just as good. Fantastic variety, really something for everyone. The atmosphere was perfect for a special family dinner, great lighting soft music and lots of laughter throughout the restaurant. It had a very upbeat and happy feeling. Every staff member was smiling and happy, sincerely seemed as though they love their work. Our daughter ordered the special vanilla crème brûlée and the serving dish was large. Largest I have ever seen, so she offered to share. One of the passing servers noticed she was dipping a 'garnish strawberry' into the custard with precision and brought her a dish with more strawberries! We were shocked, it was so thoughtful and really made her night. I can't recommend Cafe Amore enough for a terrific evening out! A real event!

Love the ambience, service and hospitality at this family Italian restaurant which gets an extra star. Plus, a person playing accordion in the background brings extra coziness to this cafe. In terms of food, it is fresh, warm and acceptable food...nothing special about it as the pasta is limited to one kind. Started with Bruschetta, garlic bread, and sausage bruschetta (w. honey red pepper sauce) and few smoked old fashioned cocktails. Enjoyed the freshness of the food. For my main ended up getting BC Salmon pasta w. mini shrimp. The pasta was average with small quantity of salmon and baby shrimp pieces (the portion size of the pasta is enough to be shared between two people). Overall 4 stars Food 3 stars Ambience, Service, coziness: Extra star Value: medium

I started the meal with the Don Vito cocktail, a spirit forward sweet concoction of Cognac, Bourbon and Limoncello. Immediately felt like it set the perfect tone for dinner. The tasting menu started with four appetizers, the Arancini, Goat Ricotta Crostini, Insalata Siciliana and the Culatello. My favorite was the arancini as it was packed full of melty cheese with so much flavor. The culatello was a crowd favorite and the crostini was a great palate cleanser. For secondi we had the Truffle Gnudi and Paccheri. For people who like meaty flavors go with the paccheri, but I liked the light cheese and truffle of the gnudi. By the time the Pollo Al Mattone came around, I could only manage a mouthful of the succulent brick chicken and the fresh cabbage salad as I was so full and would need to be rolled out of the restaurant. We ended with the Chocolate Budino, which was dark, creamy and delicious. A great tasting menu at a great price, especially compared to Toronto prices!

Place has "very fancy" feel and would be good for special events/celebration dinners. Free bread to start was fine but not the best I have had. I prefer mine with butter but the oil/vinegar is probably more typical. We tried the: Calamari: 10/10, great texture, loved that we got 2 sauces to dip in. Fettuccine Tavolino (cheese wheel pasta): 10/10. Boyfriend was not too full after. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Nice cheesy creamy flavor. Ravioli Alla Zucca: 9/10, I can't remember if there were 6 or 7 ravioli in the dish. Very pleasing presentation. In my opinion too many sundried tomatoes. I love that it comes with sundried tomatoes as that added some great tang/flavor. Ravioli themselves were perfectly cooked. Brown butter sauce was excellent and wanted more. Creme Brule: 9/10, exactly as expected, definitely enough to share between 2 people. Affogato: vanilla gelato was 11/10 good to me but boyfriend didn't like the flavor. We both agree the espresso was excellent. Very small portion (too small to share!). Free cookies at the end were fine. Overall food was excellent and I'll be back but to try something different on the menu.

The complimentary bread was great, the martini's good although one glass had far more than the other. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and although quite different from what we make at home, was excellent! K had the Alfredo flambé which was fired up tableside. It seems to be a popular option as it happened 6 or 7 times while we dined. They also don't soak you for the privilege of the tableside presentation. It was a little cheesy for K, but excellent nonetheless. Our server Eugenia from Hamburg was excellent, she can serve us anytime. She was attentive, and her timing was exceptional! Beef Brisket Agnolotti - 7/10, 8 large ravioli filled with brisket. Sauce was good, ravioli were well cooked but brisket inside was pretty underwhelming. Friend who got this dish was ++ hungry still after and said he would order something else next time for the price. Funghi Cipolla - 8/10, it was as expected. Ricotta cheesecake - cheesecake itself was great with the ricotta taste but crust was soooo bad. So overly thick and dry and considering our waitress failed to give us water the entire meal it was impossible to eat (so dry). Date cake - Unfortunately they didn't have gelato as was advertised on the menu to go with the cake so whipped cream was substituted. Was told this only after we ordered and friend asked for the flavors of gelato. Cake had a few uncooked flour lumps. Flavor was fine but not as flavorful/spice-heavy as I hoped. Sprouts on top looked really messy but tasted fine. Overall not a seamless experience as I would have expected from an establishment of this caliber.
