First off I went based on all the videos on instagram great videos. Place is not how it looks on…read morevideos! Food was ok but not for the price and service ketchup was bad and spoiled my wife's plate was warm my plate came cold told them all they did was pour more warm hot sauce on top of my chilaquiles red sauce was good. Lots of miscommunication even though we were speaking fluent Spanish. Here is a picture of our Brunch recipe. I was also charged for them to sign HBD for my wife when they asked we can choose from a pastry from the house which was a flan de elote . Price is out of range for service and experience! No Courtesy For Anything and food being cold and ketchup being bad drinks were also not as cold except my cold coke with ice.

We came in sweats and sweatshirt but it's a little more upscale than your average breakfast/brunch place. Our server was attentive and practiced his English with us. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, clean, zen... the food was delicious! The servings are pretty big so come hungry! They offer pan Dulce or a pastry if you order coffee. Which we did. I had the enfrijoladas, my neice had the omelette Azteca. I ordered café de olla but our server suggested the pumpkin spice latte which is my fav and was absolutely delicious! We had to take our food to go bc it was so much yumminess to leave behind.

This place is amazing. I always come to this restaurant for brunch whenever I'm in Mexico or nearby…read moreTJ, I love coming back and when I do I always make sure to get the chilaquiles I loveeee the ribeye chilaquiles, the ribeye is packed with flavor, the chilaquiles are well cooked and amazing salsa, the drink menu is perfect I always like having a good amount of options. The price for the food and the drinks is unbeatable for how good the food and drinks are. The service is spectacular they're always attentive and make sure everything is going just fine, as for the atmosphere and overall restaurant vibe it's very calm with a nice elegant feel to it even tho it's a small eating area, the presentation of food and drinks is amazing I love the theme they're going with, and not to mention you're also near by the beach I absolutely love this place and I always keep coming back, if you're looking for a lowkey brunch spot with amazing food, drinks, and service this is the spot. Don't skip it !!

The omelette with frijoles and potatoes was great. *The mango mimosas were good. *The café de Olla was natural. It was average. *They gave you a piece of pumpkin bread before you eat while you're waiting for your food. *The restaurant was clean with a small Catholic feel to it. *Parking outside was OK. Bad: * Very small café not good for large group parties. * A bit more pricey for the quality of food and drinks. * They prefer USD dollars or card. Conclusions: Due to the great services we were provided by the waiter, and if we're ever back in La Playas for breakfast or brunch, we would go back to San Miguel restaurant. I will highly recommend you try it.

If you are looking for a different type of place for breakfast in Tijuana, you will discover the…read morename, Marenca. The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.

Good thing we came before the rush because we didn't have to wait for a table. My other friend and I shared the omelette with 3 ingredients and chose ham, bacon, and cactus. We also got a smoothie to share. I don't know what was in it, but it was green and tasted pretty healthy. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, I could see the staff in the back of the house making smoothies and preparing people's orders. Our food looked very appetizing and portions were bigger than I imagined. Overall, the omelette was okay to me... even the chilaquiles that my other friend ordered tasted alright. Service wasn't that great either- I asked for extra utensils, but never got them. Plus, our server took a long time to give our bill. Since there was an event outside, we couldn't dine in the patio, but I wanted to check it out after we finished eating. Looks like there was going to be a wedding! There was a was a small waterfall that is probably always there and tables decorated with cute flowers.

We pulled up Yelp and noticed this restaurant was not too far away, thankfully Yelp was correct this time and we were able to eat here. The server was great and even recommended a few places for us to explore. The menu was very reasonably priced and the food was delicious. The skillet meal was a bit too oily but other than that everything else we had was great. We were surprised by how large the portions were. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast if you're in the area, very cute atmosphere.
