We rolled into Fat Cat in Rosarito around 1:00 PM, close to their 2:00 PM closing time, so the place was pretty quiet. Right off the bat, they brought out complimentary, tiny cinnamon rolls with our coffee, which was a great touch. ​The food portions are huge and fantastic value for around $25 to $30 total for two people: ​The Louisiana: Packed with biscuits and gravy, a sausage patty, potatoes, and pancakes. Tons of food and really tasty. ​French Toast: Ordered by my wife, and it was delicious. ​The highlight of the visit was our waiter. He carried himself with the posture and formal Spanish vocabulary of a high-end, fine-dining maître d'. It made for a hilariously memorable experience because he had a bit of a "Soup Nazi" vibe, very prim, proper, and mildly irritated by our imperfect Spanish and extra requests. When my wife asked to skip the bacon, he firmly let us know, "It comes with bacon, you will have the bacon!" and when I asked for ketchup after the food arrived, I definitely caught a subtle eye-roll! ​That said, it was all in good fun. Once the meal was served, he was attentive, boxed up our leftovers, and provided great service. Worst service ever. We walked in and were sat down and left at our table for 35 minutes. People came in after us and their drink orders and food orders were taken. After thirty minutes of being completely ignored we got up and I made it a point to complain to our server that he sat us down and never came back to take our order. It's decent but there are better places. Pretty standard food and not necessarily inexpensive. Staff is friendly and they are quick to refill coffee which is nice. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Small lot that's a pay lot. There's street parking also. read more

I went there today with a group of friends. There were 5 of us, only 2 of us had been there before. We split the AMAZING cinnamon roll. And ordered omelets, Bennys, crepes etc. Everything came out quickly, steaming hot and very fresh ingredients. The staff are the best! Don't come here looking for a traditional Mexican breakfast. That being said, they keep your coffee cup full and always check on you. The butter maple syrup is to die for! If you're looking for variety it's definitely not here BUT they are known for their pancakes and crepes especially the Cinnabon type of pancake it's huge and delicious. The menu is small so just keep that in mind we hoped for more of a selection but we were happy with what we received with the exception of the country potatoes, they were pretty dry and lacked flavor but other than that it was great. I found this location on YELP since I am visiting and completely new to the area. I will warn you that parking is not easy and your best bet is by taxi/Uber, or if you are walking the town. After the parking debacle, I walked in and was greeted right away and was seated. The menu is in Spanish and English and the breakfast menu had many options. I ordered a build your own omelette with home fry's and it came with a pancake. My order arrived and was shocked by the size of the portions and 2 people can easily share. Everything came out perfect and had to get a to-go box for leftovers. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and my coffee never dropped below 1/2, and they were packed. If you need to order or service you push a call button on your table and someone will be there in no time.
