Despite the similarities between the menus, I've always chosen to go to Kafe - it's atmosphere is much cosier, and the heating outside during the cold weather makes it a perfect smoker's spot! The last time I was there I tried a dish that featured on the specials board. There's no chance of me remembering what it was called, but it was almost like a rustic beef stew. Considering it was winter at the time, it was the perfect dish to accomodate to the cold night air, and well worth the money. I'm glad I chose to try something different that night, as I was very skeptical about ordering a moussaka at $27.50 each - it just didn't seem justified to me. The service was impeccable - our waiter made sure we had enough to drink, enough water and ensured that we were happy with our evening. The great service really topped off the experience. The coffee was great as usual, and we didn't seem to wait for too long despite how busy it was inside. So far I've yet to be disappointed with the team at Kafe, I've yet to find out what service is like next door.

I've dined at quite a few spots that can make a simple napoletana pasta taste like angel's tears but unfortunately I'm yet to be convinced here. The service here is incredibly quick but often feels rushed and a little intense as a result. It's a great place to bring a group as you can actually hear each other even when it is buzzing with theatre of footy goers. Do make sure you book in advance though and don't eat lunch beforehand!
