There weren't any hard ciders on tap but they did have canned Awestruck (local). I noticed the fried pickle appetizer and asked her about it. She told me they were spears and very popular. I decided to take her recommendation and ordered them, along with a Cooley's Handmade Burger with sautéed mushrooms and swiss cheese. My pickle fries came out first since they were an app and I can tell you two things about them...the portion was huge and they were absolutely the best I've ever had! Inside the "non-smoking" bar, a delightful smoky haze drifted through the air thanks to the staff's decision to use the ashtray as a doorstop. It's like they wanted to recreate the authentic 1980s bowling alley experience. The single bathroom door doesn't lock, which adds a fun new twist to your visit -- the thrill of potentially making a new friend while washing your hands. After 25 minutes of waiting for our high-stakes order (boneless wings and a salad), our server cheerfully reported that it was "gettin' there." We decided our patience wasn't, so we paid for our drinks and told her our tip was gettin' there too. Five stars for unintentional comedy. One star for everything else.
