It was served with a tomato sauce that didn't go well with the toppings. It was an odd dish. If it wasn't so late, I might have actually sent it back (which I do probably once every 10 years). Fresher, crispy and less bitter calamari might have been enough to fix the balance. My dinner companion had a sandwich with a bun, lettuce, apple slice, fried chicken, cheese, and bacon. I think it might have been a special. It was ok. It came with Saratoga chips, which is why we picked the restaurant. We wanted to get Saratoga chips in Saratoga. The food is solidly average pub fare, not bad and perfectly serviceable, but it shouldn't be your primary objective if you're a foodie hunter like me. But on a main drag littered mostly with mediocre bar-restaurants charging tourist prices for tourist indifference, I'll take "just fine" as a win. I'm not much of a drinker but my husband liked his can of Copper Legend lager so much that he ordered another one to go. The location is conveniently central especially if you're staying on Canada St. or doing activities at the lake.

There's table service and a bar with two of my favs, Sam Adams Winter Lager and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap! Although serving sort-of-the-same food as downstairs but fluffed up name-wise and price-wise, at least you get to sit down at your own table instead of being crammed in cafeteria rows. Plus you can relax and defrost a bit while looking at the gorgeous scenery. And the french fries are pretty darn good! The wait staff is friendly and we were not rushed out of our seats to turn over the table. The rest room lines are shorter upstairs too. The only bad thing is that searching for an outlet to recharge your phone is a chore. Rich skiers can just use the special recharging stations that charge you $2.99.
