iced Apple Pie Latte with oat milk

New favorite place to get a latte! The espresso is never bitter and the specials are always so yummy

Lots of syrup flavors which they can also make into cold foams (super cool!), baked goods and lunch options. Cozy inside, tasty latte. Will be returning!

Note: Small 6" plate with small croissant and a small sourdough bread sandwich .

Out here in the North Hills, we've been stuck with chain options -- so when Three Brothers Bagels came to Shaler, it really helped fill a void. This place is a great destination for all kinds of bagels, bagel sandwiches, baked goods AND really, really good soup. My personal favorite so far has been the potato leek soup with bagel croutons. It was so good that I'd love to see it become a menu staple rather than just a special. As for the bagels themselves, the selection strikes a nice balance of savory and sweet, and the spreads and fillings follow suit. What I especially love is that the sandwiches go beyond just breakfast -- there are creative, lunch-style options that set them apart. And yes, their bagels are chewy and might give your jaw a workout after a whole sandwich, but honestly... isn't that just what a bagel is? Tip: Make sure you get there early or plan to order ahead this place is SO popular and regularly sells out. I'm also looking forward to seeing their food truck out and about. Highly recommend for anyone in the North Hills looking for quality bagels, sandwhiches, soups and some genuinely great baked goods!

The food is outstanding. The breakfast egg rolls have become my favorite breakfast item in Pittsburgh and my entire family is obsessed with the bakery! Today we had a Blueberry donut that blew our minds and we love that they bake new things all the time. There is so much in Lawrenceville and the Strip and this is honestly the first place in town my kids keep asking to come back to and we've made it a monthly tradition. Can't wati to get back soon.

Started with the breakfast eggrolls which were extremely full but not heavy, the jalapeños added a great spice and the chorizo paired well with the sauce. Blueberry donut with blueberry and lemon glaze was mouth watering, made for a great sweet part of the meal. The Adobo Fried Rice wasn't a Mexican type of adobo, we thought it was almost an Asian spin, super good. Extremely fresh, chicken was tender. Enough for 2 meals. The breakfast sandwich is the Hangover Cure, and, while not hungover, I totally understand the name. Cheesy, saucy, on the Calabrian chili pepper English muffin, it had so much flavor. Added bacon and I think it made for the perfect sandwich. The English muffin really did make a difference, light and airy but held up with a ton of sauce. Food took a little while but it was all so fresh. Tight inside, not many tables and people kept coming in the door to get the wait time. Staff was nice and friendly!

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).
