Yelp is nowhere near as "protected against fake reviews" as it thinks, or advertises. I know so many business owners that write masses of reviews for their own business (and some are not filtered), and even masses of negative reviews of rival businesses. I think that may be happening here. There are ways around it, which makes me wonder how much we - the customers and Yelpers - and the website itself, really care. If their cakes were mouldy, they'd be Sporeyodang. If Margaret Thatcher owned them, they'd be Toryodang. And if they were Argentine, they'd be Chimichurryodang. Anyway I love this Koryodang. It's brand new and big and spacious with absolutely lovely service. They make their signature Taro teas and the Milk Tea is better than the other locations. I love hanging out here and tasting some of their baked goods, although others are overrated - such as all the sponge cakes... but that can be said about many korean-style bakeries. If I were a Korean I wouldn't make a Korea in sponge cakes. If the girl behind the counter was sleeping on the job, it'd be Snoryodang. And if they were actually killing customers in the back and serving them in Red Bean Buns, it'd be Goryodang. And if the bathroom was for more than just #1 and #2, it'd be Gloryholedang. I find it pretty sad that the ratings are so bad when this place is considerably better than a lot of the rivals. But then people are entitled to their own opinions. I just hope they're legit. And if there's a 45 year old guy trying to hit on the 17 year old Asian girls (and boys), that's Predatoryodang. Even if the girls (and boys) are willing, that's still Statutoryodang. And if Billie Jean shows up and shows you a photo and his eyes are like mine, I refuse to pay any child support until I'm shown evidence of fatherhood on live TV after being dragged on Mauryodang.

My go-to order is the Iced Tiramisu Latte, Pistachio and Ricotta Cake, and their Mixed Berry Croffle. The Tiramisu Latte isn't too sweet, which makes it perfect to drink. The Pistachio and Ricotta Cake is light and works well together, despite it being made from ricotta (which is something I usually do not like). I did try their Misty Morning drink, which comprises of pear juice, pear puree, and sparkling water, however, I would skip this as it tasted literally like the pear drink in a can, mixed with sparkling water. The lady who I assume is the boss said she had held a pop-up shop about two years prior which blew up, hence what we see here. The selection here was deceptively small compared to chain bakeries, but it didn't take us long recognise how much power the smaller selection packs and, actually, how the selection really is not small at all. The matcha red bean loaf grabbed my attention straight away and didn't disappoint, but their red bean bun was just as impressive, as it's a more bread-y counterpart to the fluffy versions other bakeries typically have. The onioissant is definitely experimental and worked better on the chive bacon cream cheese one than on the pollack roe, which was a bit too much on the salty and fishy side for my liking. Their chocolate horn is at least twice as big as a typical one you'll find at other bakeries and has a rich dark chocolate filling which was a pleasant surprise. Their coffee brioche pastry was another hit, thanks to the strong coffee filling and delicate layers of pastry. There's ample tables and chairs, beverage menu, and I'm sure we'd come hang if we lived closer. I can't wait to go back.

I picked up a pineapple bun and 2 different red bean baked goods. They looked different than what I see at other Chinese bakeries. Got home and got into these.
