My family likes to frequent this cafe for their bingsoo shaved ice. It is usually very quiet and we can sit at two tables together when in a group. Very close to the LIRR train station too if you want to grab a coffee and head off to somewhere. A lot of korean grandmas also like to gather here to chat quietly here over a coffee. Can be a nice place to study in the back room. I prefer the flavors of the mango blueberry shaved ice but my kid likes the strawberry bingsoo which is super pink and super sweet each topped with a scoop of ice cream, almonds for that nice crunch with the ice and drizzled witha sweet syrup. The green tea matcha shaved ice is a bit of a show stopper served with a whole taiyaki matcha ice cream wafer fish. Big portion and great for sharing and they will give you extra bowls too. The stumptown coffee is decent and they have other iced drinks and pastries. I was able to try their thin flat croissant over the summer but did not see any recently in the winter. Great place to hang out for a coffee and dessert after lunch or dinner.
A bit controversial here but the only reason I had docked a point was for the price. personally I thought the bingsu was delicious and made well my partner on the other end thought it was over priced and honestly shouldn't have costed so much considering it was only a bingsu. I do highly recommend getting the strawberry flavor as it was the perfect way to end our night. we had eaten something extremely hot and I had burned my tongue in the process. this was the perfect mode to cool us down. the bingsu itself was decently big. I would say perfect for 2-3 people to share. though I do wish they had layered the shaved ice/milk with strawberry jam in between as well.
Delicious and reasonably priced ice flake desserts. I loved that they give you bowls for scooping your shared portion of the dessert! Their iced vanilla lattes are very good also. The mini carrot cake was OK....I think it was maybe just a little bit stale as the cake portion was almost like a cookie rather than soft like cake! The one thing I specifically noticed was that no one routinely came out to clean/wipe down the tables. I have a pet peeve which is sitting at a sticky table and that was both times I had gone there.
This is a cute cafe, but I tried their Green Tea Bingsu (Ice Flake) and thought it was disappointing. It is overpriced compared to other places nearby and for what we got. I think they only charge it more because it comes with a whole taiyaki green tea ice cream, but there weren't enough toppings otherwise -- it was mostly shaved ice. They also use plastic bowls and cutlery, which is a minus one for me. This cafe is cute though
On a cold blistering day. Trying to find a place for a cup of coffee to warm up. Found Coffee Factory going through Yelp reviews. Coffee Factory did not disappoint. Got a Matcha Latte and was really happy just to sit and take a break from old man winter. There were lots of pastries and delectable goodies to purchase. Got a almond croissant, cheese danish and a matcha roll with crème. Definitely be back again to try their other hot drinks. Lots of tables and chairs to sit and get work done. Back room where you can meet others. Nice staff. They take credit cards when you purchase over $8.00. They do not accept discover card. So have extra cash just in case
Man O man o Man.... This USE to be my go to spots when i'm craving for a pick me up and a bit of sweets... I haven't gone back since pre CoVid. Brought some friends in hoping this is still the same o good spot to hit up. My friends got 2 bags of their cookies and i thought it was cute to get one of dem cake pops. Wrapping and all was cute but gawd dang.... stale, stale, STALE. Holy crap was that the most stale cookies/ cake pops i've ever eaten... They really need to upkeep and check on the dates on their sweets... The black coffee wasn't the best either. Seemed like it was diluted already even before putting the ice on. Hopefully they'll do a turn around.
Came here for an after dinner dessert. Place is small and cute but looks like it was bigger at one point and just closed off one section to do some work. Got the matcha shaved ice that basically tasted like cold powder. Barely tasted any match and was more power than shaved ice. Definitely needed the red bean topping or else it would have zero flavor and be very dry. The strawberry shaved ice was basically just a crap load of syrup on top of vanilla ice. The shaved ice was quite tasty and the topping actually kinda ruined it. Presentation was pretty and portions was pretty big but was seriously lacking in the taste department. Would go here again but not order the shaved ice
Friendly service, very good coffee , lots of goodies to choose. Gets busy at times, few seating indoor. Price is reasonable. Also, hard to find parking in the area.
Came for breakfast! The almond croissant was very good... i brought it home and heated it up and gotta say it was delicious. Soft and buttery with almond filling... yum! Hot coffee was iight nothing special. And the premade sandwich with turkey, tomatoes, lettuce, eggs, and peppers was not hitting for me. The egg's texture was very plastic and it just had too much sauce. Maybe from the tomatoes and lettuce's moisture? But I wouldn't get that again... but def the croissant!!
Korean coffee shop near Murray Hill Flushing NY There was inside and outdoor sitting area. The hot and ice coffee was not bitter and fresh. Tried the pecan pastry and walnut bean pastry. Both were not too sweet and tasted great! Would like to try shaved ice with toppings next time. .
Wonderful location right next to the LIRR in Murray hill, with LOTS of seating as you wait for the train! Its quite big inside with lots of coffee options and lots of snack options to go with that! I had a black iced coffee, the medium was like a large (thanks!) and I tried the (what looked like homemade) Madelines which were wonderfully bite sized. Note that they only accept credit cards for purchases above $8!
I love this cafe simply because they are open later than most and have good coffee and desserts. Personally come here for mostly shaved ice desserts year round. It's a nice place to sit down and have a chat
I've been coming here for a while now but for only one thing: mango bingsoo. I've tried various drinks and pastries but they're all alright. Their bingsoo is pretty good and has various toppings to keep things interesting. I like that the mango is sweet, even when it's out of season. The shaved ice is very fluffy and sweet and even comes with a creamy scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I usually come here for dessert after dinner but it's always very packed. They have a lot of seating in the back of the shop but it's mostly bar seating. Service is pretty quick and they use buzzers so you don't have to stand around and wait. This is a solid spot to hang out with friends after a meal.

Ordered a small vanilla latte and it was made quickly and deliciously. It was not too sweet and had good smooth coffee flavor. I got my drink to go so can't speak much on ambiance. Something to note was there was a tip jar but on card there was not option to tip which I know many people like. read more

Great dessert option after dinner. I can't believe bingsu has gotten so expensive! It's a giant dessert and can be shared among a few people. I got the fresh grapefruit ade and it was good but very sweet. Plenty of seats. Service was quick and the guy was really nice in navigating my daughter attempting to pay for her meal. Cute vibes, calm music and good company makes this a cool dessert spot. read more

Was looking for a spot for coffee and a sweet bite. The first place I found was closing soon and Coffee Factory is in the area. I forgot that there are multiple restaurants/cafes so parking is not easy around there; not far from Northern Boulevard so parked and just walked. Dimly lit, quiet with music playing. There is seating in the front and in the back. Restroom available. Menu posted mostly for beverages and Bing Soo; baked items/food on display weren't labeled with their prices. Drinks we got were ok. Blueberry muffin was too sweet for me but chocolate one was good. read more

Delicious and reasonably priced ice flake desserts. I loved that they give you bowls for scooping your shared portion of the dessert! Their iced vanilla lattes are very good also. The mini carrot cake was OK....I think it was maybe just a little bit stale as the cake portion was almost like a cookie rather than soft like cake! We visited Coffee Factory a few years ago and their shaved ice bowl impressed us so much. The decor was simple, clean and bright. The outdoor dining is currently available with lots of tables. There is a great variety of options on their menu and they also serve desserts and pastries which looked not so great. The staff was cool and reluctant. Our matcha shaved ice was missing the ice cream on top but we didn't want to waste time for argument. The ice bowl was delicious especially for the matcha which was not too sweet and had a great balance with other ingredients. read more
This is a great place to sit down and study or to catch up with a friend. None of the drinks or pastries here are outstanding, but I really enjoy the ambiance. The study room in the back is filled with outlets and seats are plentiful. Tables in the front are spread out nicely and you don't feel like other people are on top of you or eavesdropping on your conversations. They also have benches outside which is great when the warmer weather hits. This place kind of reminds me of if a cafe and a bodega had a baby together because a lot, if not all, bread and pastries here seem to be outsourced (I'm not really sure if they bake any breads in-house). I even spotted Junior's cheesecake in the display. $8 card minimum! read more
Located just steps from the LIRR Murray Hill station, Coffee Factory is one of the neighborhood's most popular destinations. It is a place that is so much more than coffee, it's a establishment for meetups, dessert, and studying. There really is something for everyone here. Coffee Factory is pretty big for a neighborhood coffee joint. There are numerous chairs / tables for big groups and lots of outdoor seating during the summer months. They have a back room that I presume is a study area or some sort of a quiet area. For coffee lovers, it doesn't get much better than Stumptown. I enjoy their cold brew, as long as it's available. They have a number of coffee drinks and lots of folks who come in here on the go. I also appreciate their green tea based drinks as well and some decent fruity concoctions that are a little too sweet. Big ups to the mojitos and peach iced tea. Plenty of folks come here for the food as well. The green tea bingsoo / shaved ice are typically nicely presented. Enough to where the instagram / camera eats first. As a dessert destination, I think this place has just enough of a selection to warrant a visit. The only thing I'm not terribly fond of is the service. I've had some mixed experiences here but my company was enough to help me forget about it. When I'm paying a pseudo premium for coffee based products, a smile and professionalism go a long way. read more

Can't speak highly enough about this dessert spot I love that it has become a community hotspot for people to eat, chat, and hang-out. I've ever tried their shaved ice and it's AMAZING. The last one I had was from July and their seasonal peach flavor was so delicious, I remembered I got it twice that summer. The green tea flavor is good too! Definitely good splitting portions for two people. read more

Came back again just to try their other ade drinks. I was going to get shaved ice, but I didn't want to get too much desserts in one day. I tried their grapefruit and Blue lemon ade today, but I still like their watermelon flavor the best. It's just soooo refreshing and keep in mind I don't like watermelon so this says a lot. I like their grapefruit over the blue lemonade, surprisingly their blue lemon ade was more towards the bitter side than their grapefruit. read more
Finally got to stop by after hearing my friend rave about this place nonstop. It is a cute and cozy coffee / dessert spot with a lot of different pastries to chose from. The ice flakes are $13.50 each and they are humongous. One is enough for 2-3 people. The service here is splendid; the workers were very attentive and never pushed or rushed us to order (we were really indecisive). We got the mango ice flake and the green tea ice flake. The mango ice flake had mangoes, mango syrup, blueberries, mango pop bubbles, almonds, and vanilla ice cream over a cream based bingsoo. The green tea ice flake had green tea mochis, red beans in red bean sauce, almonds and an ice cream taiyaki over green tea bingsoo. It was all very delicious. I also love the fact that it did not make me feel overly heavy afterwards. There is also plenty of indoor and outdoor seats for dining! read more
Stopped by here for dessert after getting KBBQ, and was a nice end to our night out. Got their peach shaved snow, and it was so delicious at the peak of peach season. FOOD: The snow itself was very fluffy, and the peaches we got cut up in the bowl was deliciously fresh. Came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which was a nice touch, though I didn't enjoy the canned peach as much--but it added a nice aesthetic. VIBE: It's a cute little shop with a variety of breads, shaved snow, and drinks. Nice spot to study, with a decent amount of seating available. read more
Zero complaints, so going with 5 stars. I ordered a large hot vanilla latte, which was just right and he made it so fast. It wasn't scalding hot, perfect temperature and was the right amount of sweetness (just bit of sweetness) for me. read more
Got a single scoop chocolate ice cream cone which was about $4. The employee really worked hard to make sure the cone had ice cream almost all the way to the bottom. I really do appreciate that since I went to Flushing ice cream Factory 2 days ago & the employee there just served me scoops of ice cream w/o even attempting to fill the cone to the bottom. Almost my whole cone was empty at the Flushing ice cream factory. read more

Cute place, I was running late to catch the train so couldn't buy anything. I'll definitely come back to try the coffee n others delicious looking things. The packaged things looked really fresh n delicious, I couldn't decide what to get. I pass by around 6pm n this place is always packed. Inside n outside. The Green Tea Bingsoo was HUGE (good for 3 people) - even though it's a little far from the main area of activity on Northern, the place was still pretty full when I arrived on Saturday afternoon The bingsoo wasn't too sweet but the red bean filling inside the taiyaki (which was a little soggy on the outside) was a little much. The red bean on the side was a great accompaniment with the matcha flakes. Taste: 8/10 Price: 7/10 Atmosphere: 8.5/10 read more

I know that there is a lot of people that stay there and study. There is a room at the back where a lot of people study and read and do their work. There are plugs. But there is music playing through out the store.
Are any of your bings non-dairy? Thanks!
Not that I know of. Most bingsoos contain dairy because of the higher fat content which helps create milkiness texture. And it was also not listed as non dairy on the menu :(
