I've been coming here pretty frequently since my last review and it's genuinely one of my favorite places. I've tried a lot of items on their menu, it's kind of crazy looking through my photos. Anything with hash browns and fries are amazing. My favorites are the sloppy java hero and atlas hero. Their coffee is pretty good too especially the einspanner if you like a strong coffee drink. The staff there are always super welcoming and friendly! It does get a little busy there on the weekends but I've never had too much trouble finding seats since people tend to be in and out pretty fast.
We stopped here for breakfast and we had a decent experience. We ordered 2 bagel sandwiches and an espresso and a hazelnut latte (I asked the waitress for a latte that is not too sweet). We were very pleased with our drink but slightly less pleased with the sandwiches as the bagels were a little dry. However, everything seemed fresh. Service was good and the staff was friendly. The place was cute.
Came here at suggestion of my wife-and for once I listened. Java Day is what North Flushing/Murray Hill lacked when I grew up here: A really good place to sit and eat in a non-rushed atmosphere. Menu is fairly extensive, good delicious and service is excellent. A very welcoming staff make you feel at home. (The coffee is outstanding)

I found Java Day Cafe while out in Queens this past Monday. I had a few hours to kill in between meetings and was looking for a cafe to WFH. At the owners recommendation, I ordered The Frenchie, as well as two hash browns (hey don't judge, I was starvin marvin!). The Frenchie consisted of 2 pieces of delicious cinnamon french toast with sausage, egg and cheese nestled inside. I washed it down with a delicious large coffee with almond milk. I chose a table by the window, which had 2 outlets below, so I was able plug away on my laptop and enjoy my food, with no low battery stress. I ended up having three coffees during my stint there and lucky for me, their bathroom was super spacious and clean... love that! All in all, happy to have stumbled upon this awesome Flushing/Auburndale gem!
First time here and won't be last! Traveled from Nassau County to eat some breakfast with kids & wife. Food was amazing, we ordered BEC,SEC, & French Toast with fresh fruits. Coffee we got a hot and iced latte and they were both delicious. Service was top notch and they really helped with our accommodation with us 5. I liked their design of the place and signs hung around the restaurant. Highly recommend!

This is my 2nd time back (should be more). The ambiance and the workers are great. They really care about what they do and it shows. Coming back this second time, I could see how much busier they are. Always love seeing places thrive! It's for a great reason. Everything you get here will hit the spot! The spinach and mushroom omelette was so good and not greasy at all. The hhoommeee frriiesssss is a must!!!! Even the toast was perfect with the right amount of butter.

The frenchy had French toast as the bread which gave it a great sweetest to the overall savory sandwich. While the hungryman was big, filling and savory. Overall, I would come back to try all the different things on the menu. This has become one of my go to spot for breakfast around the area. Service was fast and friendly.
Java Day Cafe does have great food but I've had better in both aspects. However, I do feel like if both food items (especially the French toast) was hot, it would've been a lot better but unfortunately that's not feasible with delivery (not their fault, obviously). I had the chopped cheese and the strawberry cream French toast. The chopped cheese was great but had a little too much lettuce and less spice to my liking, however I'm sure the latter is adjustable. The strawberry cream cheese French toast was not super sweet and really great but there wasn't as much cream cheese as I would've liked inside the French toast. I would try Java Day Cafe again except for an in person brunch this time around.
Casual cafe, extensive menu. Staff is very friendly. Great place for breakfast, slows down around 10. They can make you pretty much anything you want. I had a chicken club with hash browns , which is not on the menu. My friend had the California omelette with home fries which was delicious. Full coffee menu, smoothies available as well. Metered parking in front. Perfect spot for a quick, casual bite.

This place NEVER disappoints! The customer service is always superb. The food is excellent and comes out quick. Love the ambiance between the decor, the atmosphere, the family/home feeling. Forgive me for not getting her name, but girl at counter (I didn't see her on previous visits) was one of the nicest people I have ever come across in the food industry. This is my 2nd time back (should be more). The ambiance and the workers are great. They really care about what they do and it shows. Hubby and I were heading to our favorite breakfast place on foot. While walking along Northern Blvd we passed Java Day and paused to look at their menu taped on the storefront window. "Let's try this place". Friendly peeps runnin' this cute quaint cafe. Hubby enjoyed his breakfast sandwich and I LOVED my veggie omelet. I'm one to watch what I eat and this omelet was made just like I would have made it at home.. no salt or grease. Plain eggs and veggies. Whole wheat toast and an all time favorite 'tater tots' as my guilty pleasure side starch. Would definitely return Great job kids! read more

My usual go to place for breakfast! I visited this place a few times over the past few years and love how there's a different sorts of breakfast items you can order. There's street parking (meter), and residential parking on the side. You can go in, order at the counter, and then you can take a seat. They'll bring your order to you. I've tried different menu items from Java Day and one of my favorites has got to be the HashBrown Wrap! You can choose your meat (bacon, sausage, or ham) but if you want to add extra items, it'll be an additional fee. You don't really see this kind of dish at other places, so give it a try! One tip to keep in mind is that the HashBrown wrap takes some time to cook. So if you want it to go, you'll have to wait a bit. I also order the Western Omelet often and add mushroom to it, along with white or whole-wheat toast and home fries. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the omelets that you order. My go to drink is their Honey Ginger Peach Tea. It's light and refreshing and so delicious. It's the perfect alternative if I want something other than coffee. Staff is always friendly and very accommodating. I haven't ordered anything from their lunch menu but would love to try it in the nearby future. read more

For starters the staff is very friendly and willing to help you with your order. Their menu has a very nice selection of items to choose from, even for a picky eater there's something to pick from! I got the egg avocado toast with a side order of home fries which was simply delicious! Everything was fresh and made exactly to order. It usually comes with sunny eggs but you're able to have the eggs whatever way you like them. It's like bitting into breakfast filled with happiness! My fiancé got the banana nut pancakes which were very filling and delicious! We sure will be returning here to check out the other items! They also have a great lunch selection which will probably be the next time we'll stop by here! read more
I've been coming here for some time now and for good reason! I think its a mom and pop shop here in Queens. Their coffee is amazing and their breakfast options are even better. I usually get their custom Omelettes and tater tots. 10/10 Everything is extremely flavorful and made to perfection. It always hits the spot when you are craving breakfast. The staff there are even better - extremely nice and friendly. I highly recommend Java Day to anyone who is looking for breakfast options. read more
**Delivery Review** Popular breakfast place that happens to deliver through Uber Eats. Relatively quick delivery window for a Wednesday morning. Decided on the Frenchy Sandwich ($8.50) and the Spam Omelette Platter ($14.75). Both items are packed well enough that it made it through delivery still hot (no express needed). The Frenchy is your basic egg and cheese sandwich with french toast instead of regular bread. The balance between the sweetness of the French toast and the savory cheese/egg was perfect. Added a little hot sauce towards the end for a needed kick. The omelette consists of tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, scallions, and of course Spam. Large portion and filling overall (especially in tandem with the sandwich). This is served alongside some home fries which are well crisped and salted. Really happy with this delivery as everything was as advertised. Would be great to try in person as well. read more
Really cute breakfast spot with an expansive menu and nice decor, as well as great staff! The food was good - the tater tots are a must - they're so crispy and delicious. The Nutella stuffed French toast was good, but not great - it seemed a little overdone and different parts had far different Nutella to bread ratio. That said, I'd definitely come back again - you can't beat the price and value! read more

Little cute cafe with friendly service and very good food. When we got there, there were people sitting on the 4 ppl seats and we only see 2 separate 2 seats tables. The guy was so nice , he moved the table for us to make it for 4 seats, that's what I call good service. Price is fair with good amt of food. We had hashbrown wrap, mushroom omelet, beef quesadilla and Reuben(corned beef) sandwich. Delicious food, I will definitely come back . read more

This local cafe/deli feels so homey and comforting. They are attentive to their customers and want to make sure you're settled with everything you need and want. It's a great spot for breakfast/lunch with a friend or by yourself. There's a good number of seats available. You can take out or dine in. The prices are reasonable for what you get. My friend and I were able to enjoy our time and did not feel rushed. They provide great service for a deli/cafe. Their platters are a pretty big portion and their sandwiches are unique. You can customize anything and everything to your liking. They are super accommodating and I'm sure they would give some great suggestions if you're feeling adventurous. I love stopping by here whenever I'm looking for breakfast out. read more

First stop of eating with my visit to NY, and how could you go wrong with a place that has a ton of reviews? This place sits in a congested area among a bunch of other store fronts. Street parking can be found here (no meter payment before 9am. This is certainly a family run business and the service here is extra friendly. It is mostly Asian/Korean ethnicity in this area and reminded me of Buford Highway in Atlanta. Seating is limited and not exactly comfortable but the atmosphere is nice. Couple tables, around 20 people seating capacity. It is order at the bar and wait. They have a decent menu to choose from and a variety of drinks. I came for an authentic NY bagel experience, with home fries and a macchiato. The plain bagel was perfectly toasted and the egg/cheese/turkey bacon with it was exactly what I craved. The home fries were also good, with peppers and onions. My s'mores macchiato was meh, but I wasn't there for the coffee. This experience certainly hit my expectations, and pricing wasn't bad at all. We wanted brunch, so we came here around 11:00 am. For drinks, we got a large hot coffee with French Vanilla for only $3, which we thought was cheap and good. We ordered the Cajun Omelette and added mushrooms; the omelette had peppers, onions, ham, and cheese inside. It came with tater tots and buttered toast. We also ordered the B4 platter, which came with eggs, home fries, ham, bacon, sausage, and buttered toast. The food was delicious and came out soon after we ordered; we got hot sauce on the side, which paired well with our meal. Also, we expected the portions to be a little smaller, but it was a good amount of food for their price. The staff was also very nice and welcoming. Overall, we would definitely come back here for casual dining and try their burgers or lunch sandwiches. read more
Wow. Easily one of my favorite breakfast spots in all of New York. The food here is incredibly good. I have come here on quite a few occasions and tried a bunch of their omelets and egg sandwiches. Everything was full of flavor. The pancakes they serve here are perfectly soft and taste great. Also, the side dishes such as the tater tots and home fries here are a perfect compliment to any breakfast dish that you order here. Even the coffee and latte drinks here are 10/10. The workers at this restaurant are very nice and friendly as well. This place is a MUST for anyone that hasn't been here yet. read more

Local neighborhood breakfast spot. Order at the counter and self seating. Great hosts/owners, young and attentive. Food much better than IHOP or other breakfast chains, most importantly, staff was informative and friendly. The coffee was also excellent. Great alternative to a breakfast chain or diner. read more

Does their phone work? Tried calling 5 times on a Sunday and its either busy or goes to voicemail.
They are super busy! You sometimes can get lucky on the phone but you will mostlikely have to go in person.
