Nothing special here folks. Sandwiches are not original. I got a grilled chese last week and it wasn't hot, the cheese had no taste and it was smashed, not grilled. They barely give you a bowl of soup but charge you like they are a 4 star restaurant. They won't let you take the pot pie in the container they bake it in but dump it into a 'to go box' which just makes it look like a sloppy mess. I will give them credit for their flat breads, although I expect those will start to go down hill soon. The cookies are dry and crumbly, The cupcakes are miniature with a load of awful frosting on top. Expensive for what you get. The breakfast burrito is another splendid morning choice for a yummer experience. For lunch, I have tried several items and always go back to the chicken pot pie. We spent about $40 on 4 basic meals, which came with a can of pop and a cookie. 3 of us got the pot pies which were tasty, if you like rosemary, while my little one got an Italian sub. The sub was an Italian loaf with a few cuts of meat. Not worth the $8. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the prices. The owner is from Chicago, like me. I love this little café. Everything I try always looks and tastes amazing. Today I ordered lunch via delivery to my office. When my delivery arrived, my sandwich was missing. The driver had to leave and return with my sandwich ten minutes later. I decided to eat my soup while I waited, but there was no silverware or napkins in the bag. I wasn't upset, but my email confirmation had a spot available for customers to make comments about their experience. I decided to write what was missing from my delivery just to inform them that it happened and as a friendly reminder to help them in the future. This afternoon I checked my email to find that Café Moxo responded to my criticism. Café Moxo apologized for the mistakes, comp'd my lunch, and thanked me for informing them that all was not perfect. Honestly, they make one small mistake, but showed professionalism and gratitude by buying my lunch and apologizing. Café Moxo - you are wonderful and no one is perfect. You are close though. 1 star for enthusiasm I guess but this place could have killed me if I had an allergy. I decided to go with the sandwich and soup combo since the guy told me the BLT was a large sandwich. He asked if I wanted peanut butter on it since it was a "really good combination." I said "no thank you." He pressed it again "it's really good with it" and I said no, I do not want peanut butter on it. I paid for my soup and drink and waited at a table for my sandwich. I got the chicken white bean chili which was not a chili. Just chicken soup with white beans in it. Underwhelming for sure. Then another guy came and brought my sandwich and said "BLT with extra peanut butter." I told him that I did not order it with peanut butter. Then this guy said "I'm kidding there's no peanut butter on it." He walks away fast and I see huge globs of peanut butter on the sandwich. Like was this dude just that lazy that he didn't want to go back to remake a sandwich because he realized the order was wrong or did he unknowingly serve peanut butter on someone's sandwich. Are they randomly putting peanut butter on people's BLTs because they think it's a "great combination?" I had to bring the sandwich back and brought it to what looked like a manager amongst the lost boys behind the counter. I told him that I did not order this with peanut butter and the person who delivered it also lied to me about it. He brushed it off quick and ordered a new BLT on the fly telling his guys "there wasn't supposed to be peanut butter." Did not seem at all interested in the fact that his workers are ignorantly serving a food allergy to people. My new sandwich came out fast but it was made rather haphazardly and was overall average for a BLT. I will pass on this place. read more

We came in around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. There were about 4-5 people in line ahead of us and the restaurant was fairly busy. The person I was with ordered the bag lunch with the sandwich on special. I ordered the soup and half sandwich, the BBQ Mac with no onions. I was given the soup before paying and was given a number to take to my table. After 10 minutes had passed, two different employees came by the table to see what we were waiting on. A few minutes later my friend received his sandwich and was told there were still working on mine. After 15 more minutes of not having my sandwich, I went to the counter to see what was taking 25 minutes to get my food. By this time the person I was with had finished their lunch so I requested my sandwich to be put in a to-go bag. When I got home to eat my sandwich, there were more onions than chicken, even though I requested no onions, and there was no mac-n-cheese, even though the menu says the sandwich comes with it. The food is wonderful....try their fresh soups made daily...chicken noodle & beef stroganoff are favorites plus my husband orders chili when it is on the menu. The portions are HUGE---I had a chicken pot pie and asian salad which I wasn't able to finish and the nice staff wrapped it for me to take home. Speaking of the staff, they were extremely attentive and friendly and kept our drinks refilled and cleared our table for us. This downtown location is hopping with lots of business lunches plus familys just out enjoying the good time and food & it is so close to the Lincoln Library & Museum. We took our cookies that came with the lunch with us and had them later & brought home carrot cupcakes for our friends...they loved them! We are looking forward to our next visit.
