Cafe Kinsky is a really nice breakfast cafe right on Old Town Square. My group wanted a quick but nice breakfast and wasn't in the mood for chains, so we ended up here prior to a walking tour. It worked out well! I ordered a flat white and spinach omelette. We were also given some sort of fruity shots complimentary. Our food arrived promptly and we were able to split the check with no problem. We had plenty of time to eat and make the start of our tour without stressing, which was much appreciated. I'd recommend this spot for travelers and anyone willing to pay a bit more than standard in Prague for breakfast.

Great goulash, Dacca is, and espresso. Appreciated the patio seating at the corner of the piazza.

We wanted to go to another place but it was full so we decided instead to come here. We very really satisfied with the matcha homemade pancakes which are served along with a croissant and sour and blueberry cream and cappuccino or hot chocolate. We stayed in the tables outside thanks to a sunny morning, but also the inside is very nice and comfortable. Recommended.

The best place to eat and drink at the Old Town square area. Nice decoration inside and cozy terrace. Highly recommend!

My omlette was very good, with goat cheese and spinach, and my wife liked her eggs which were sunny side up over some vegetables and a avocado purée. The fresh bread was really good, some sort of wheat rye bread that was dense and filing. The menu for lunch and dinner also looked great, and our server was very friendly. She asked where we were from, and got really excited that my wife grew up in San Francisco. She said that she was a big Jack London fan, and wanted to see where he was from. I hope she gets to go one day!

That said, we had a gorgeous yet really disappointing pancake order here that just wasn't acceptable at all. The pancakes were thick, premade and tasted more like crumpets topped with fruit than pancakes, but what was inexcusable was that the pancakes themselves came out cold and hard. How does that even happen? On the other side of things, the expresso drinks were adequate, the egg dishes were enjoyable, the orange juice was fresh squeezed and the brown bread and butter that comes out (complementary) with breakfast is wonderful. If you do opt to come here, head to egg dishes, their bread and expresso, and away from their not good pancakes.) (Wish they would discontinue or replace the pancakes here. These hard, heavy, cold pancakes bring their morning meal average down a level, considering the other dishes here are a-okay.)

We wanted to grab breakfast before we were headed to the airport but didn't feel like eating too much. First, they have a high chair, a huge plus for us parents. I got the mascara-done caramel banana pancake, which the server told us was a popular item. My husband got the salmon with cream cheese, and he said that was amazing. So unlike other places that usually stack pancakes and then put the topping at the top, this each layer has the filling, so each layer of the salmon pancake has cream cheese and salmon. The mascarpone and banana was the same each layer, filled with banana and cream. Highly recommend this little gem if you are around the area.

I got the halloumi pancakes and a karak latte. It's obviously not fast food, but both food and drink came out in what seemed like a totally reasonable amount of time. The pancakes were very good and also seemed very healthy as far as pancakes go - everything was perfectly balanced. The halloumi and avocado as well as the hummus were layered in the stack so every bite had something in it. The karak latte was also very good with a smooth flavour. I appreciated that they could make it with alternative milk since most places I've been to that serve this will only do it with dairy. Would absolutely recommend for a fun, relaxed breakfast or lunch.

Our hotel was very close to the restaurant and we literally stumbled upon it (when quite hungry after a long travel day) and it quickly became one of my top five dining experiences ever! We visited Prague during the Christmas market season so the restaurant was glowing with holiday spirit. The staff was amazing and the food impeccable. I am still dreaming about this meal. The menu changes frequently but on this cold winter evening, we enjoyed the warm mushroom bisque, a grilled seafood dish with pasta, and the duck breast with gratin potatoes. I have never ordered duck before (other than confit on a salad) and this was "off the charts" delicious! Such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them if you ever make it to this beautiful city!

I tried the celery cream soup to start and it was phenomenal! I would go back just for the soup! I also ordered the crispy chicken thigh with salad and to be honest, I just didn't love it. It was just a "fancy" fried chicken. Nothing really special. I should've tried the pasta or one of the other dishes because I've heard the food here is good. I guess I was just confused by the menu and expected something else. I also got a couple fresh pressed juices to-go for the next morning and they were delicious! I would definitely give this place another shot next time I'm in Prague!
