Crooks!! I had a bad water leak last month. I rent my…read moreproperty. It took the widow of my landlord a little over a week to get it fixed. I called the water company & told them what was going on. I told them I'd have to make payments on the high bills. They said that would be fine. My bill runs around $40 mo. I paid $80 last month. Monday I paid $150 & planned to pay some more today. But they turned my water off yesterday. When I called. They said I wasn't on the "leak list" But when I talked to a (supposedly)supervisor. He said there was no such thing as a "leak list" My son took them the balance to them today in cash. They told him I had to pay another $185 cause my other son took the zip tie off. Which he should not have done. He didn't know. But that's fine. I paid the $185 on line cause it had to be paid before 3p for them to turn the water back on. So citizens got $325 in cash & $185 from a debit card on line. My son gave them confirmation number showing I paid everything in full but they still refuse to turn my water on. If I paid with a debit card & got a confirmation number...that means it's paid & no longer in my account. Their website does say it could take up to 24-48 hours to post to the account. But I gave them the confirmation number. They are closed on Friday's & the weekend. I'm going to have to be without water until when ever they get payment. I don't understand if I have proof of paying my bill in full...why can't they turn my water on. They can't let us be without water for 3/4 days when I paid the bill can they. I'm unable to work. I'm trying to get on disability. Making payments would have helped me out. I had to borrow the balance of the account. Now I can't afford to get my medications. It seems like they are making the rules up as they go. Many people in this community feel that Citizens Water are crooks. And I'll go ahead & let you know that I wasn't real nice. They probably will tell you that I'm a nut bag but they pissed me off. They did not hold up to their end & let me make payments on a $500 water bill. I just need a little help. And today the on line shows I haven't paid a dime.

We already had our new faucet and parts, and for the new piece, turns out it was the strainer, he asked me to download the home depot app and place my order and offered to pick it up. He pulled out the old pieces, installed the new faucet, and I went to pick up the strainer which he installed and triple checked for any leaks once complete, all in exactly 1 hour. Jonathan was absolutely amazing! The price he charged was incredibly reasonable and a relief for our limited budget: $50/hr for so much work covered. He's also skilled in other jobs too, so we are having him back to install two new light fixtures and convert to LED from fluorescent bulbs. Moreover, he was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Jonathan answered all of my questions about terminology for things in case I have any trouble in the future and described how converting to LED can be as simple as picking up the new LED plastic bulbs. Truly an amazing human and awesome experience, I look forward to working with him again soon!

I'll start by saying I take responsibility--I did miss a couple of payments due to some financial…read moreand family hardships. When I tried to catch back up, the people I spoke with were polite and respectful, and I appreciate that. That said, I completely lost trust after what happened next. The company told me the bait stations had been removed because of nonpayment and that I'd have to pay the entire year upfront plus a $200-$300 "installation" fee to have them replaced. But after that conversation, I personally found around 18 bait stations still in the ground--untouched. They clearly hadn't been removed. That made me question whether they'd ever installed their own stations at all, or if they'd simply been using another company's equipment and never bothered to replace or maintain them. It honestly felt like they were charging for work that wasn't being done. Luckily for me, I can still check the bait stations myself, which is how I discovered the truth. After that, I started researching termite bait systems more deeply--and I'm actually glad things ended the way they did. From everything I've learned, bait stations seem like a slow, expensive, and unreliable system that mostly benefits the pest control company through recurring fees. Many experts and even people in the pest industry admit these stations don't attract termites, take months (or longer) to work, and often fail to eliminate colonies entirely. Bottom line: I'll take responsibility for missing payments, and I'll even say the employees were courteous--but when I'm told something that's verifiably false, the trust is gone. After doing my research, I now see it might have been a blessing in disguise not to keep paying for a system that appears designed more for profit than for true protection.
