I called these plumbers because my pilot light on my hot water heater would not stay lit. They came…read moreout the next day and told me it was probably the thermocouple and it would need to be replaced. No testing of the part was done as I watched them before their diagnosis. They did not have the part on their truck and told me another tech of theirs's was bringing the replacement part out to my house. The techs waiting for the part to arrive. In the meantime they stood in my driveway and smoked cigarettes and talked for an hour and a half before the part arrived. It came, they installed it and charged me a $165.00 service call and $25.00 for the part. Total was $190.00. That evening we noticed we had no hot water again. I checked the pilot light and once again it was out. I called the next morning and let Jen know I had no pilot light or hot water. They wanted to charge me for another service call to come out and this time replace the gas control valve on my hot water heater. They did tell me they would only charge me half of a service call since they had been out the day before and did not fix the problem. I inquired about possibly having my hot water heater replaced because by the time I paid them for another part and another service call, I was approaching the cost for a new hot water heater. Jen told me she would look up the price of the control valve and put together a price for a new hot water heater if that was needed and call me back. I waited for two days for Jen to call back. I had no hot water in the interim. Because Jen failed to call back like she said she would, I had to hire another plumber, pay an additional service charge to have the problem fixed. They seemed to be nice enough people but they did not fix the problem and wanted more money to come out.

They promised they'd have all work done in four days....maybe five. I was doubtful, but by the end of the first day, I could tell he was right. The team was quick, courteous, and the whole project was done in four days. Not only that but Clint helped work with insurance on my behalf to make sure all aspects were covered. He advocated for us to make sure it was all taken care of and took care of things I was overwhelmed in dealing with. He was way more help than our adjuster was. We already had our new faucet and parts, and for the new piece, turns out it was the strainer, he asked me to download the home depot app and place my order and offered to pick it up. He pulled out the old pieces, installed the new faucet, and I went to pick up the strainer which he installed and triple checked for any leaks once complete, all in exactly 1 hour. Jonathan was absolutely amazing! The price he charged was incredibly reasonable and a relief for our limited budget: $50/hr for so much work covered. He's also skilled in other jobs too, so we are having him back to install two new light fixtures and convert to LED from fluorescent bulbs. Moreover, he was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Jonathan answered all of my questions about terminology for things in case I have any trouble in the future and described how converting to LED can be as simple as picking up the new LED plastic bulbs. Truly an amazing human and awesome experience, I look forward to working with him again soon!

When I tried to catch back up, the people I spoke with were polite and respectful, and I appreciate that. That said, I completely lost trust after what happened next. The company told me the bait stations had been removed because of nonpayment and that I'd have to pay the entire year upfront plus a $200-$300 "installation" fee to have them replaced. But after that conversation, I personally found around 18 bait stations still in the ground--untouched. They clearly hadn't been removed. That made me question whether they'd ever installed their own stations at all, or if they'd simply been using another company's equipment and never bothered to replace or maintain them. It honestly felt like they were charging for work that wasn't being done. Luckily for me, I can still check the bait stations myself, which is how I discovered the truth. After that, I started researching termite bait systems more deeply--and I'm actually glad things ended the way they did. From everything I've learned, bait stations seem like a slow, expensive, and unreliable system that mostly benefits the pest control company through recurring fees. Many experts and even people in the pest industry admit these stations don't attract termites, take months (or longer) to work, and often fail to eliminate colonies entirely. Bottom line: I'll take responsibility for missing payments, and I'll even say the employees were courteous--but when I'm told something that's verifiably false, the trust is gone. After doing my research, I now see it might have been a blessing in disguise not to keep paying for a system that appears designed more for profit than for true protection.
