Amazing terrific gorgeous from location to service to food and coffee quality. Located within park Hyatt hotel complex, I think that quality was already assured when I walked in. I spent 10 EUR on one cappuccino and one passion fruits tea, well deserved quiet quality time to myself. And there are quite a bit of sweet desserts you can choose from. If you have a sweet tooth and love shopping. Come here!

Schnitzel: Simple and perfectly done! Squeeze of lemon, pour potatoes over--delicious!

My parents and I are on our first visit to Vienna and stopped in Café Am Hof for lunch yesterday. We had a very young, blond, super Austrian waiter who was just completely lovely and kind. Very good service! We shared the salmon dish, which was outstanding and also the schnitzel, which was perfect and exactly what I wanted to eat in Vienna. The potatoes that came with the schnitzel were absolutely delicious. Beautiful decor and just a perfect lunch. Thank you, Café Am Hof!

We sat on their patio, which was lovely. And the service was great as well. Their breakfast menu has lots of options, probably something for everyone! My friend had their Viennese breakfast (soft boiled egg, butter, jam, honey, organic roll, and organic rye bread), and I had their salmon scrambled eggs (bread with cream cheese, salmon tataki, sea salt, truffle, and cress), which was different than I was expecting but delicious. We each had a couple of coffees and really enjoyed our leisurely breakfast at JOMA.

Everything carefully crafted and professionally presented! I had the juicy grilled kalamari with a garlic sauce (very appropriate) and a wok veggie salad. My partner had the Joma sandwich with sweet potato fries. I also had the lemongrass seafood soup, and I had it twice (yes re-ordered it on the same visit) because it was amazing. Ended the meal with a cup of ginger tea (real ginger pieces). All in all, great dining experience, lovely and relaxing ambience and obliging staff. Five stars.

Loved the decor, made me feel like we were transported back in time. Our waiter came, dressed in his formal clothing despite the heat outside, and took our order. For me, an espresso, for my wife, a chocolate cake and water. My coffee was delivered on a neat little tray with a glass of water to go along with it. The waiter then pretty much left us alone as we took our time eating and drinking. Pricewise, the cafe seemed similar to other coffee shops we had visited during our trip. So why not more stars? Largely because the food being offered isn't vegan friendly. Maybe that is due to tradition, fine I understand that if that's the case, but I've heard that there are other traditional cafes in Vienna that do have vegan options. Just give me one. That's all I'm asking.

We were directed to go upstairs and found an open seat in no time at all. Just passing by all the display cases filled with desserts and pastries triggered the cravings. We did a quick menu perusal but really knew that we wanted to try the kaiserschmarrn which was a traditional Austrian dessert made up torn up pancakes, served with a plum compote and dusted with powdered sugar. It was light, had a nice caramelized flavor from browning in the pan and little pops of more sweetness from the raisins. It was so delicious that we came back the next day for more but shortcut the line and got it to go from the takeaway window. Same kaiserschmarrn but around 3 Euros cheaper for a larger serving. After eating we wanted around the restaurant and towards the back you can see just how the cooks juggled making many pans of Kaiserschmarrn at the same time. Yes it's a bit pricey but so tasty to try at least once.
