The counter had nice pleasant ladies behind it that couldn't speak much English, making it exactly what I was looking for: Local flavour. I ordered a cappuccino and butter croissant and boy oh boy was that good! That was the best croissant I've ever had! Just amazing and I get them fairly often. This was a clear standout with texture and flavour. And the coffee was great too. Looking around, I noticed everyone was settled in and comfortable in their spots. There were a couple retired gents reading the paper, as the line at the counter built somewhat with people who needed to get in and get out. The seating is fabulous! There are cushions and comfy spots everywhere, so nice! And in the back there was another large room that was somewhat secluded from the ordering area by the front. As I was enjoying my coffee, I noticed others having their breakfast which looked amazing from what I could see so I headed back to the counter. I was so happy with what I ordered! Wow so many types of fruit, all nicely arranged with the eggs and the bread omg so good! And cheap too! I left happy and wanted to linger longer but needed to hit the road. I do wish I asked for my coffee later though. By itself, it's absolutely delicious... but it didn't go well with the pepper soup. And by the time I finished my sandwich and soup to work on my coffee, the coffee was cold. I could see myself coming back again if I lived here and didn't want to try other coffee shops.

That's just something overlooked by the fast food joints because they cost money and time but definitely worth it for both the visual appeal and flavour bursts. Breakfast sandwich good enough you say? No! As usual the large latte was indeed huge, and as always rich and creamy delicious served in a massive ceramic mug. Friendly service at the counter and I always get a kick to see them gush when I try to say some French words off the menu. The Bene was amazing. I rather thought it to be middle of the road and somewhat uninspiring. Here however it was a dandy clever surprise. I was here at 7AM for my morning Java jolt and a light breakfast. The cafe was quiet, well designed and very comfortable with many nooks and crannies and spots you could find yourself getting lost in a book or that office email overflowing red list! My order was a capucinno and a breakfast sandwich. Cap was nice strength, slightly bitter but good portion of froth. It came out as a nice hot temperature. Breakfast sandwich was fresh, light filling enough for a grown man and delicious. Overall a fine breakfast to get the day going. The only design flaw I'd declare is when you walk in it feels you are at the bulk food store with big displays of single serve keurig pods which somewhat gives a negative feng shui to the place. The rest of the cafe lounge is so nice but the massive display of pods on both sides doesn't suit the design of the place. I'm no interior or Industrial designer but it cheapens the feel of what otherwise is a fantastic cozy relaxing environment. Otherwise good stuff!
