Half cut strip loin with thin cut potatoes.
    Tabitha S.

Located on a stair path right near to the Rossio area, the entrance is sort of blink and miss, but the café is cozy and welcoming. You come here for the steak, which they apparently fly in each week from Argentina. I ordered the strip loin half cut, which on a completely personal note, I regretted because I was so hungry and the half cut isn't large. In hindsight, I should have ordered the whole cut for a few Euro more. That said, it was delicious, but keep in mind that it will be a bit more rare than you might be used to. I love my beef on the rare side, so it wasn't a problem. The low point were the potatoes. They were thin cut and more like bagged potato chips (crisps), but soft and fresh as they make them in house. For a steak dinner, the potato should be heartier, and if you're serving fries/chips they should be a nice thick cut. That said, the staff were great. The place is really busy. I didn't have a reservation and was seated immediately, but I'm sure reservations are recommended for groups. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake with dulce de leche, which was so lush. This is a great restaurant for a night when you want meat and carbs. They do have a lot of vegetarian options too. It was a perfect spot and it did not disappoint.

A salad (yes this is a single dish...) and one Argentinian steak split by the 2.

It is a nice one. Good meat. friendly straff. But be prepared that the Steak is one Level more rare than you ordered. Still it is worth it.

To start, we ordered the ceviche--the fish was okay but the mango added such a lovely taste to it.

Centro Vasco da Gama is convenient to the airport, being only two stops away on the Red Line (Linha Vermelha), so we visited the food court for a quick lunch before our flight back home. I got the Entrecosto La Rotisserie (Rotisserie Pork Ribs) meal set for €9.90, which comes with two sides and a drink. The ribs were dry on the outside, and reasonably moist on the inside. While I wish the ribs were meatier, they were delicious with the optional garlic sauce. Seating is whatever one can find in the food court, or on the outside balcony, as the food court is very crowded during lunch hours. There are bussers who regularly come through to take finished plates and trays, but do try to clean up after yourself. Please visit https://laparrilla.pt for current address and operating hours information.

We traveled to Portugal for our anniversary. After a long…read moreday we settled in Lisbon first. About a few block away was a mall. We were curious to see what stores in comparison to ours did they have. The food court is pretty solid foods and Choices. La parrilla offers you grilled menu experience. They have combos to me it easier to choose. We chose the Bitoque de Vaca with feijao and batatas Fritas. It was basically grilled steak thin cut with an egg on top, feijao is black beans and batatas Fritas are French fries. The beverage was included too. The service was pretty quick for a home cooked meal. They had many people ordering from them. But its a mall so it's ambiance was a busy one and to get a seat was challenging. The taste of food for being in the food court was actually pretty good. Now don't expect to have medium rare steak nope you eat it how they serve it. I am fully aware when I can or cannot expect to get my steaks medium rare so I was ok with my meal. They only thing it was a bit bland but adding piri piri sauce was a spicy punch . That's the hot sauce they use here in Portugal. So if you're ever in Lisbon at the Vasco da Gama mall give it a go! Let me know what you thought!! Enjoy!
