It is very modern inside compared to most of the restaurants we visited. You can get steaks, veal, seafood or you can get them in a hanging skewer with a coup,e different meats. We got the beef and sausage skewer and the salmon, tuna, halibut skewer. Each came with a salad bar and boiled veggies came with the seafood skewer. The 3 of us shared 2 skewers ( plenty of food) and they said we could each have a salad bar. We also ordered the vegetable rice, bottle of wine, 2 beers and 2 desserts-lime cheesecake and a chocolate pie. Our bill was 53€!!!! The place was very full-we arrived around 9p and they close at 10. Very nice option especially if you want to try something other than the typical grilled fish.

Our food arrives bleeding and under-cooked (no one asked us how any of the meat should be done), so we waited and no one came. We were thinking we could maybe send it back to be medium or medium well but nope. At that point we were so cold and hungry that I sold my dignity and went back inside to ask again for one of the many empty tables indoors and said they are being held for reservations. They said they couldn't oblige so we ate cold bleeding steak and undercooked food and asked for our check the check that came 30mins later too. Absolutely horrid experience. We took the undercooked bleeding steaks to go and will cook them at our airbnb to revive some faith in humanity. Horrible experience, your mileage may vary but I doubt it. Steer clear. Even the hole in the wall places were nicer, friendlier, faster, cheaper and more considerate.

With a mix of Spanish and English, we asked for their recommendation and ended up with Octopus Salad for an appetizer and seafood rice for the main course. They were both delicious. We had to try their dessert menu, so I went with my favorite, flan. It was perfect! All and all, this was an enjoyable first meal experience in Portugal for us.

I emerged stuffed to the gills in less than an hour, for a shade over £10 including a pint of beer. The staff were understandably a bit harried, but generally perfectly pleasant. You may have to stand in line for a table, but turnover is reasonably brisk. If you break into groups of two or three, you'll be seated faster. The main rush seems to be 7:30-8:00 pm. The five stars represents decent and plentiful local fare at a great price. I'd be very surprised if there were a better value in the heart of old Lisbon.

Our waiter was very observant, bringing another customer napkins when he saw the customer had spilled something on himself, and bringing us more bread when he saw we were almost done. However, he mixed up the combinations of our orders. The beef steak order was supposed to have Portuguese sauce with fried eggs but there were no eggs and it came with mustard sauce, which didn't taste as good as the Portuguese sauce. The chicken steak was supposed to come in mustard sauce and no fried egg but it was covered in Portuguese sauce topped with a fried egg. Pao Torrado Fatitas (bread) - .65 euros. 2 Manteiga, 2 Manteiga Alho (4 packs of butter)- 3.20 euros. The garlic butter was too addicting for my own good. The beef/chicken steaks drenched with either Portuguese or mustard sauce came with two free sides (rice, salad, etcand a fried egg for an extra charge. The chicken steak was only 9.95 euros while the beef steak was 15.60 euros. I absolutely loved the spinach purée side, it didn't sound appetizing but it was so bomb. Try dipping your fries in it! Overall, the chicken steak was a bit boring even with the sauce. They didn't have hamburgers left.
