They prepare everything fresh using high quality ingredients and are consistently good. The interior is sparsely decorated and diminutive but the focus is on the food. If you like beef, it is one of their specialties but frankly just about everything is good. Tonight I had tagliatelle with Morel mushrooms in a light cream sauce and the tarte tatin for dessert. Friend ordered French fries as the side and that was fine though. The smoked salmon salad I am pretty happy with. Besides, portion is pretty good and I was very full after the two courses and cannot squeeze in any dessert. If you're looking for chicken, pork, vegetarian dishes, or something else, keep looking because Le Grizzly is very specialized. In only a few minutes after getting seated, the chef came over and prepared my steak table side. It's quite a substantial portion of meat, delivered on the gallows--just be sure not to move too quickly around the center of the table to avoid poking your hand (if not familiar with the preparation style, you'll see!). I had it cooked medium, and it was done perfectly, and it came with various sauces including a delicious peppercorn sauce (my fave), tartar sauce, an herb butter, and two others whose names I can't recall. Service was friendly and blazing fast. I tried to use my very limited French, but my server also spoke English and was happy to use either language. Finished with a Nutella tiramisu, yes you heard that right. This place would be 5-starred had we not found a small piece of glass within the dessert! Otherwise, amazing dining experience.
